Doesn't Love You

"I need to talk to you about something, alone." She looked at Robin who was looking right back at her. Raven watched Starfire close her locker, "Please." She tried, not wanting to mention Aqualad in front of Robin; he could run off to tell Beast Boy. This was nothing to her yet she still felt the need to hide it from him. Something within her told her that if Beast Boy found out about this character, nothing good would come out of it.

"Robin, please excuse me. Raven and I must have a girl talk." Starfire smiled at Robin, "I will see you at your car, I promise."

Raven looked away and held in a groan as she listened to the two teenagers kiss and say their sweet goodbyes as if they weren't ever going to see each other again. She was glad she and Beast Boy weren't that way; their relationship was perfect like it was. Once the two separated, she gave a small smile to the red head. "Thank you…"

"You are very welcome Rave, it must have been very important if you came to talk to me." Her eyes lit up with excitement, "Now what is the matter?" She asked, leaning against her locker door.

Raven rubbed the back of her neck; she had been so worried about getting Starfire alone. Now that she has her, she had no clue where to start. "If… If someone other than Robin came up to you and complemented you before asking you a big question, what would you do?" She asked, dropping her hand at her side.

Starfire tapped her chin, "I do love complements, giving them… receiving them… It matter's what the question is. What was it?"

Raven bit her lower lip lightly, "…to the dance?"

She gasped, "Someone asked you to the dance!" Her eyes widened, "It wasn't Beast Boy either, oh how terrible. Did you tell him no?"

Raven found her cheeks reddening from embarrassment; hopefully no one heard Starfire's loud words. "Please be quieter, I don't want the entire school body to know." She sighed, "Of course I told him no, why would I say no? I don't even know the guy, but…"

Starfire shook her head, "There can't be any buts Raven!"

The raven like girl sighed, "I hoped the first person to ask me to Prom would be my boyfriend. When some stranger asks you, a small part of me wants to agree since someone is actually inviting me. I hate that part of me." Her small smile vanished completely, "I don't want to be angry with him if he doesn't ask me but I don't want to make him go if he doesn't want to go."

Starfire looked around before leaning in, "Maybe you could use this stranger to your advantage?" She suggested before a devious grin formed on her lips. "Let Beast Boy learn about this guy and get him to bite the bait. Then pull on your line so you have your catch."

Raven sighed, "You've been watching the fishing channel again haven't you?" She shook her head before hugging her bag, the suggestion was a bad idea, and she wouldn't do that. Only if she really had to, only though. "Thanks for listening to me, I really needed some advice." She noticed many of the students were gone, disappearing to their homes and jobs. "We should go, I'm sure Robin misses you already."

The other nodded, "And Beast Boy misses you dearly also." Giggling softly, Starfire began walking ahead, "I will see you tomorrow, yes?"

Raven nodded, "And the next day, and the day after that." She watched the redhead rush off to her other. Sighing softly, she began walking towards the door herself. Putting her hood up, she shoved her hands in her pockets before heading to her car.

As she expected, Beast Boy was leaning on it, looking in the distance. What was going on in that simple mind of his? Maybe something not so simple. "Hey there, sorry I took so long."

Blinking, Beast Boy looked at her. Giving a shrug, he leant off her car. "It wasn't long at all." He rubbed the back of his neck, "I just wanted to tell you bye before you left." His hands went to his pockets, "So… See you around."

Raven watched in disbelief as Beast Boy turned around and just left. Brows furrowing, she didn't move from her spot. No kiss? No sweet goodbye? She watched him walk over to some group. She didn't know what to do now. "See you…" Confused and lost, she just got in her car and drove away towards her house.

OOoOoOo

"Look whose back."

Raven placed her finished book in the return basket, "Trust me, it wasn't for you. The answer is still no and will always be no." She looked back to find Aqualad smiling at her, she frowned. "You are a creep." Heading to the aisles, she began scanning the books in hopes to find one she hadn't already read. The list was very small.

"I think you will change your mind, I mean, no one else has asked you. Right?" Aqualad raised a brow, "I know how to treat my lady friends Raven, and we'll have ourselves a blast."

Raven picked up a book and flipped through it, "Dances aren't my thing." Her frown increased, she just wished this guy would leave her alone. Her body went stiff when feeling warmth on her back, two hands on either side of her. Shivering, she tried to ignore his hot breath on her ear. She was going to kill this guy. Anger filling her, it quickly vanished once his words reached her ears.

"He doesn't care for you Raven; I saw what happened after school." He whispered. "If he loved you, he wouldn't be cheating on you."
