Chapter 26

Ash's POV

Morgan and Ash's house.

10am.

"Derek, I'll be fine take Elle and Sydney to Mexico and if Sydney says you've been looking at any other girls that aren't me I swear I won't hesitate to cut off your manhood," I said and he let out a little laugh.

"You know that you are the only woman I would ever look at babygirl," He said and I smiled before wrapping my arms around him in a tight hug.

"Call me as soon as you land, please I just want to know you are okay," I said and he nodded before leaning down and kissing me hard, I laughed before kissing him back.

"Ew, Mommy daddy!" Shouted Sydney as she sat in Elle's arms and I looked over at her, me and Derek just smiled at her before he kissed me again and walked out of the house with his and Sydney's bag.

"Be Careful you three!" I shouted and Derek looked back at me, nodding and then shutting the door. I walked up to my office and started getting working on the reports I didn't finish off before the two week holiday we have. I opened the file of Reece and started to finish it off when I heard my phone ping. I picked it up and saw that it was a text message from Alyssa. It was a news article, I looked at it weirdly before swiping to the left on my iPhone. It was to do with Reece and when I read down it more it turns out that Reece has managed to escape prison with a handoff of a police guard working at the prison he was at.

Dammit, I shut my phone off before pushing my hands through my hair and texting Hotch to tell him what had just happened. He replied instantly just telling me to lock all my doors and stay safe. Which I was planning to do anyway but at least Sydney wasn't here so she wasn't in immediate danger from her biological father. She was safe with Derek, and I knew that and I loved him so I knew she would be safe with him.

I heard my phone ring and I picked it up, only to hear heavy breathing on the other side, This scared me some bit but then the doorbell rang and I stood up lunged for my gun and walked to the door. Silently but carefully before looking through the peephole. It was a messenger, I sighed as I put my gun back into my holster and opened the door. He handed me a package and I looked at him weirdly before thanking him. I hadn't ordered anything.

I opened it and found Sydney's necklace sitting there, I gasped. I looked around before pulling it closer to my chest, no one knew where to get this apart from the fact that she always wears it. The messenger was gone by the time I looked back up. It had been 8 hours since Derek and Sydney had left to go to Jamacia and I haven't gotten any word from them, I knew it may be because of the time difference but that doesn't give him an excuse not to call.

Speak of the devil, "Derek," I whimpered.

"Elle's in prison," He said and I gasped.

"She's what. On what for?" I asked madly.

"Murder, There was a headless body A. She was framed for something that she didn't commit," he said.

"Derek, A messenger turned up at the door just a few minutes ago... with Sydney's necklace that she always wears," I said and he sighed.

"This is a taunt against us, I've just called Hotch and he's on his way." He said.

"I'm going to head into the BAU, I need to find out if any of the other team members received anything like this," I said and I heard him say okay before ending the call. I walked to the door and grabbed my keys but not before being stopped by a noise near the kitchen. I just thought it was the wind so I paid no attention to it and walked out of the house anyway and to my car and headed to the FBI offices.

I walked into the lift shaft and got ready to go up to the seventh floor when JJ came in, I managed to keep it open for her. Her face was a flushed red like she was running, more than likely to catch up with the lift as it was about to go. "Hey, Did you get any rest?" I asked her and she sighed before shaking her head and rubbing her eyes. I let out a little laugh at her state before we reached our destination.

"Did you hear the Elle's in prison?" Asked JJ and I nodded.

"Derek called me and told me, Also Gideon got a head in the post with a baseball player card from 1963," I said and JJ nodded, presumably saying that she also knows about that. I sighed before opening the doors for her and she walked straight to her office and I walked straight to mine. I sat down on the seat and took Sydney's necklace in my hands when a knock on my door made me snap my head up.

"This was just put on my desk, it's a rare butterfly, no one knows I like collecting butterfly's," She said holding it up.

"No one knew outside of the BAU, that I have a kid yet they still send me Sydney's necklace," I said and looked up, Derek and the rest of the team were back. Good.

Sydney was looking around until her eyes landed on my office and she ran up to mine. Her hands brushed past the doorknob and opened the door before running over to me and wrapping her arms around me in a big hug. Almost pulling me fully off the seat but I didn't care, I put her necklace back on her and she fiddled around with it before looking up at me and yawning.

She snuggled into me before falling asleep in my arms, I picked her up before walking over to the couch and putting her there and putting a blanket over her body. Me and JJ walked out of my office and walked to the bullpen area where Elle was standing up and I walked over to her and pulled her into a tight hug. Derek was rubbing his eyes while Hotch was looking at the evidence we had. Garcia had already found out who hacked her and they found his body with a piece of hair and a disc.

"You already know that you're on a quest, but there is only one rule. Only your team is allowed to participate. Jason Gideon, Aaron Hotchner, Spencer Reid, Jeniffer Jareau, Ashely Rosie, Derek Morgan, Elle Greenway and Penelope Garcia," The man on the screen said, we all looked at each other a bit scared and freaked out but we had to do this to save Rebecca Bryant.
