It had taken everything he had just to call her. Telling Hinata was the hardest thing he had ever done because she didn't want to listen to what he had to say. Of course he could understand why and she probably hated him; that thought made Naruto frown as he paced the dorm's activity room. "She promised she'd call back. If she's going to call back, that means her answer is…" he shook his head, quickening his pace. "No, don't think like that. Once Hinata calls you back, you'll know if she's going to give you a second chance or not." He stopped, hearing footsteps behind him.

"Who are you talking to?" Suigetsu asked as he chewed on a tootsie pop.

Naruto faced him, saying, "Myself; now can you leave? I want to be alone."

Suigetsu shrugged, waving it around. "Alright but… I think you should talk to Hinata about Sasuke."

"Why?"

"Not her about him I mean, but him and his girlfriend. It's only been a few hours but I heard from his roommate that Sasuke was on the phone with her and he went nuts. He was apologizing and said he was done- he would do whatever it takes as long as they could be together." Suigetsu informed, whispering just in case someone came by.

"That's a little… not Sasuke; and we don't have to whisper! How many people actually come near this place? That's why I came here." Naruto responded.

Suigetsu ignored this and continued, "I feel so bad his roomie. I mean, he has to put up with that whenever Sasuke and his girlfriend fight. I wonder if they broke up this time. I wouldn't be surprised though."

"His girlfriend's name is Sakura and who is his roommate? If it were anyone, I can imagine Juugo-"

"It is and man, Juugo was even afraid of him. He waited until Sasuke left the room to head back inside."

"How are you two even talking? Just last week he wanted to punch you in the face for even looking at him and you the same thing." Naruto stated, as he paced again, thinking of what to do about his own situation. He didn't have time for other people- even if he did have to wait for an answer from Hinata.

"It just sort of happened." Suigetsu shrugged again, watching Naruto. "Would you stop that? It's giving me a headache!"

"I'm waiting for Hinata to call me back. She promised; so as long as that promise is being kept, I'm going to keep doing this." Naruto retorted without looking over.

"You broke up with her, didn't you?" Suigetsu wondered, sitting down.

Naruto nodded, responding with a quiet "Yes." He added quickly though, "I called after though and told her why I did it-"

"You shouldn't have."

"And why not? Besides, Sakura and Ino were texting me, saying they were worried for her. She wouldn't come out, she wouldn't say anything- nothing! If she did something stupid, it would have been my fault!" Naruto yelled as he stopped walking to face Suigetsu. "I know this is going to sound ridiculous but I really do love her-"

"No, you don't. You're still thinking you do-" Suigetsu began.

"I know I do. Everything I felt before: the reasons I wanted to do things, what I saw in her, why I felt so bad… I figured it all out and it's because I love her! Maybe you don't want me to because of Sasuke but I don't care! I'm not going to listen to him anymore!"

"You're right, it is because of Sasuke. If Sasuke knows this, he might really get under your skin and you'll do something stupid to get yourself in trouble-" Suigetsu told his teammate, tossing the stick of the lollipop into the trash.

Naruto shook his head in disbelief. "He only wanted all of that done to Hinata's because her father-"

"I'm not interested in why he did it Naruto. You're in love, great. But don't let Sasuke know- especially now." Suigetsu replied before walking out and leaving Naruto by himself again.

"Fucking Suigetsu…" he murmured as he stood in silence. "There's no way I'm going to let him ruin my relationship with Hinata this time." He began walking back and forth again, thinking about anything. His train of thought was only broken when Hinata called him back. He waited for her to speak.

"Somehow, within that little amount of time, my father found out." Her voice was normal, calm.

"What? How? Are you okay?" Naruto wondered, afraid.

"I'm fine. He didn't even really say anything. He just said he knows what you did and that he's sorry for treating me so coldly. After that, he just…." Hinata trailed off, thinking back.

"He just what?" Naruto wondered and sat down, placing his head on the table as he waited for an answer.

"He hugged me. It was strange but I liked it. It was warm and comforting. He even said he loves me." Naruto heard a smile appear on her face and he grinned lightly. 'At least something good came out of all this. It gave Hiashi the moment to tell her.'

"That's great! I'm really happy for you!" he exclaimed, being sincere.

"…Thank you…" she murmured, confusing him. "Thank you, really. I'm just thinking about Sakura. She was screaming and yelling at Sasuke on the phone a couple hours ago and you saying that reminded me." Hinata apologized, also reminding Naruto of what Suigetsu told him.

"I think they broke up. Suigetsu told me Sasuke was freaking out and begging her not to leave him- he'd do anything to keep her. I'm actually a little worried." Naruto replied honestly.

"I know what you mean." A small sigh escaped her and she added, "I'm going to check on Sakura soon but before I do, your answer…"

Naruto waited, holding his breath and trying to as patient as possible. He had to be. His life depended on it. Well, not really, but close if you count being tormented by your conscience and guilt for the rest of your life. He could already smell it and it wasn't good. He shook his head, distracted by what was going on. 'I literally smell something…' He walked to the door and found a crowd of people in the hall, running to the door. "Fuck. Hinata," His answer would have to come later.

"What? It sounds like something is wrong."

"Someone was an idiot and blew up their fucking microwave." He retorted just before the sprinkler above him went off. He cursed again as he ran outside, meeting the hundred-something people. "I'm really, really sorry! I'm going to have to call you back." Naruto wanted to hear her reply, wanted to know what she had to say. He received a hesitant goodbye and hung up, waiting for others to meet with him. He spotted Kiba and Choji wandering through, lost. Naruto growled and stuffed his phone back in his pocket. "How can they be lost in-" He stopped and whirled around, sensing someone right behind him.

"I need you to talk to Sakura for me."

"No, I'm not doing anything else for you! Why don't you go talk to her yourself? I fixed everything with Hinata by myself… so you can with Sakura." Naruto responded, not caring what Sasuke thought or what he might try to do.

Sasuke stood there, unmoving. His eyes were red and it saddened Naruto- to an extent. Naruto was not going to comfort Sasuke when it was his fault. "It can't be that hard, can it? I mean, after everything you said to Hinata, I think Sakura should be a piece of cake-"

"Don't act like that. That attitude is what got you here. Act serious about it and Sakura might actually take you back." Naruto interrupted, upset Sasuke referred to fixing his relationship as easy.

"What makes you so sure?" Sasuke asked, pushing his hair back nervously.

"I'm not. I just want everyone to be happy again and you acting like an asshole won't do that." He informed and crossed his arms as Kiba finally met them, waving.

"It's been awhile since I've seen you two together. I can see why." Kiba commented as he looked the two cross males up and down. "I know you guys are friends but I'm pretty sure friends don't give friends the death glare." There was no reply and Kiba continued, talking to Naruto now. "I hope you apologized to her."

Naruto glanced over, not angry anymore. "I did, don't worry."

"Don't worry? You weren't there to save her from the rain, weren't there to see how upset she was; she still wanted to go to your parents dinner even though she couldn't talk about you. If she's still upset when I see her tomorrow, I'm going to fucking kill you." Kiba retorted angrily.

Naruto stared at Kiba, seeing how much Kiba cared for Hinata. But Hinata wouldn't allow that- would she? Kiba was right though. Naruto wasn't there to help or see how much he hurt her. It made that feeling come back but he wouldn't let it show. Instead, he stayed silent and watched finally, Choji came over out of breath. Soon Naruto would get his answer.
