Erin's head was screaming in pain. Her eyes were closed but she could feel the light hitting her face. She couldn't remember why she felt so nauseous. She wondered if it had been another heavy night of drinking with Abby and Patty.

She was scared to open her eyes she knew it was going to hurt. Erin slowly began to feel the rest of her body's sensations return. Her head hurt so much, but she could feel now rope rubbing against her wrists, pulling her arms back too tightly.

Erin could hear water dripping, and the hum of machinery around her. She could also hear two hushed voices. It was all coming back, not that she wanted to remember. She tried to keep her breathing steady, she didn't want them to know she was awake.

Erin felt the nausea rise in her again, for a moment she thought she might actually throw up. She tried pulling at the restraints around her wrists, but they were tied to tightly to give her any range of motion.

"I know you are awake Erin." A woman's voice taunted, Erin flinched, she didn't recognise the voice at all.

Erin slowly opened her eyes, the light blinding her temporarily. Standing in front of her was a woman with long dark hair, and intense green eyes, she was leaning against the security guard, a cruel smile on her face.

Erin could see past them the faces of ghosts pressing against an array of mirrors. She could also see the large machine, almost an exact replica of the one Rowan had made. The woman smiled wider, and after planting a kiss on the security guard's cheek, strutted over to Erin.

Erin instinctively pulled back. She reached out and ran her hand down Erin's face.

"Oh, it's good to have you here with us." She smiled.

Erin pulled her face back, scowling. "Who the hell are you? Another Rowan wannabe?"

The woman and man both cackled, immediately sending goosebumps over Erin.

"I thought blondes were meant to be the dumb ones." the man said in a voice dripping with venom.

Erin stared at him, the way he moved, the arrogant tone of his voice reminded her of Rowan to much to be a coincidence.

"How?" Erin gasped.

He laughed, the woman smiling, and twirling into his arms.

"A lesser being such as you wouldn't understand," he replied, smiling at the woman.

Erin scoffed.

The woman's face changed immediately, anger spreading across it like fire. For a moment Erin thought she might hit her.

"You don't need to touch her to hurt her." Rowan quietly said.

Her face lit up again and she planted a kiss on his lips.

"Can I really show her?" she beamed.

"Of course."

She pulled away from him, "I'll be right back."

Erin watched her head off into another room, before turning her attention back to Rowan. He was staring at her.

"What you do to brainwash her?" Erin hissed.

"She appreciates my intellect." Rowan haughtily replied.

"Why are you doing this? We stopped you once, we'll..."

"You'll what stop me with your faulty equipment?" Rowan retorted.

Erin stared at him.

"Me and Electra had a long time to plan down there in the dark, we have everything planned. The four of you are going to watch New York burn, you will suffer for eternity."

"Save it, Rowan. I couldn't care less about your boring villain speech."

Rowan gave her a smile, "I'm going to enjoy watching you all suffer."

He suddenly rushed forward, putting his hands around Erin's head, and holding it in place.

Behind her, Erin could hear something being dragged.

"Close your eyes," Rowan whispered, leaning in way too close for Erin's liking.

She shut them tightly, this wasn't worth fighting over. She listened intently as Electra dragged over another chair,

Erin felt a dread pass through her, had they already captured Abby or Patty? She had been relying on both of them to solve this and find her.

Rowan moved round to be standing behind Erin, his hand caressing her hair.

"Open," Electra said in a singsong voice.

Erin hesitated, she was scared of what they had planned. She didn't know if she was ready for whatever was in front of her.

She opened her eyes, after a sharp hit from Rowan on the back of her already pounding head.

Sitting in front of her was Jillian Holtzmann, she too was tied to a chair, though Erin doubted there was much need for it. She was so skinny, wearing only a tank top and jeans. She could see on her wrists old scars, indicating this was not the first time she had been tied up.

Erin felt sorry for Jillian for being caught up in all of this, but at the same time, she was still angry at her for everything she had done.

Electra strutted over to Jillian and swiftly hit her, waking her up. She was still dozy as she opened her eyes properly, leaning back against the chair.

She did a double take as she saw Erin in front of her as if she was hallucinating.

"I did what you asked, why is she here?" Jilian gasped, her voice raw.

"She came to us, sweetpea." Electra smiled, pinching Jillian's cheek lightly. Then tugging a piece of hair behind her ear, Jillian flinched away from her hand.

"Oh Erin, I'm so sorry," Jillian said, letting out a small sob.

"It's not your fault," Erin replied.

"Please let her go, I'll do anything you want." Jillian babbled turning her attention back to Electra and Rowan.

"Oh, I know you will," Rowan smiled, coming forward and touching her face. "She took a little while to come round to help us, but when you start messing with her friends, little holtzy caves pretty quickly." Rowan continued, this time turning to look at Erin.

"The hunter thing was my idea," interjected Electra quickly, beaming with pride.

Erin starred between the three of them, Jillian's head hung low, and the others looking so pleased with themselves.

"It's not possible." Erin gasped.

"What to possess a ghostbuster? Make her expert friends think she's become unpossessed for the first time in years?" Electra teased.

"Holtzmann?" Erin whispered, ignoring Electra.

"I'm so sorry Erin, I tried to break through and warn you." Holtzmann sobbed, Rowan smiled, as he watched her tears fall.

"She really did, and every time she thought back we hurt her or one of you." Rowan smiled, tilting Holtzmann's chin up so she had to make eye contact with him.

"I was so closing to killing Abby with that proton shot, stupid bitch had to move at the last second," Electra grumbled.

Jillian let out a small sob, "I'm so sorry Erin. I never wanted to hurt any of you."

"We three have been quite the team." Rowan smiled, giving Holtzmann's shoulder a squeeze.

"You monsters," Erin growled.

"Just wait till you see the real monsters that are going to flood this world." Rowan smiled, his eyes still fixed on Holtzmann.

"You won't succeed Rowan." Erin retorted. "That machine isn't even finished."

Electra turned on Erin, "I can't wait to watch you suffer."

"I wouldn't worry Erin, now there is four of us, our machine will be finished in no time." Rowan smiled, turning his attention back to Erin.
