Chapter 26: The Tape

The next day, Ed and Lorraine came back to the cabin with all of their equipment. Bells, cameras, cold sensors, and UV lights.

They walked up to the door and knock, Sulley was the one to greet them.

"Oh, thank goodness you're here." He sighed in relief. "Please, come inside."

"Sully, you seem frazzled, what happened?" Lorraine asked.

"Things kinda, went out of hand, after you guys left." He answered.

"OW! Be careful, Wazowski!"

"That was Randall." Ed frowned.

"Yeah. We tried protecting our home ourselves, and well, Randall kinda took a big, nasty, fall." Sully explained.

The three of them walked into the living room, and the Warrens gasped. Randall laid on the couch, bandaged in more places than two.

Randall's neck was bandaged with a cone, while Mike worked on bandaging his bottom right arm, Fungus worked on bandaging his top left leg, and Dave bandaging his tail.

"Oh my god, Randall!" Lorraine gasped. "What happened to you?!"

"We were trying to bless the house. I was up on the roof when I fell." He explained.

"That was a very dangerous thing for you to do." Ed frowned in disapprovement.

"Yes, I suppose you're right, but it was well worth it." Randall smiled smugly. "There have been no hauntings since we took matters into our own hands."

"That may be so, but sometimes, a blessing is not a permanent solution."

"You're kidding." Randall's eyes widened. "We spent the whole evening yesterday blessing the house. We drove the spirits away!"

"Not all of them." Lorraine shook her head. "I still sense a dark presence in this home. A presence you encountered recently."

"It's gotta be Zozo." Mike hissed. "That dirty, rotten, playing, son of a demon!"

"Mike!" Randall hissed. "Relax. The Warrens are here so now we might actually be able to stop this for good."

"Do you really think so, Randall?" Dave asked hopefully.

"I'm sure so, Dave." Randall nodded before looking back at the Warrens. "Right, guys?"

"With a little patience, yes." Ed nodded. "We may be able to drive the demon out."

"So what do we do first?" Fungus asked.

"First, we set everything up."

So, in a quick montage, everybody set to work on setting up the house. When they were done, everything was pretty much exactly how it was in the conjuring home.

"Now what?" Randall asked.

"Now, we wait." Ed answered.

"Wait! One more thing." Lorraine cried before running out of the room.

Everybody looked at each other, wondering what it was that Lorraine was getting. They're questions were quickly answered when the woman came back, carrying the ouija board.

"What is that doing in here?" Randall hissed as she put it on the table, setting a lit candle at each corner.

"You encountered the demon using this object." Lorraine explained. "Perhaps, it will work again."

"... Dave, go to bed." Randall instructed his child. "I don't want you to be around when things start to happen. Do you understand."

"I understand, Randall." Dave nodded before heading off to bed. "Good-night, everybody."

"Good-night Dave."

When Dave was safely in bed, everybody relaxed and waited, waiting for something to happen.

Suddenly, a bell jingled through the house."

"One of the doors are opening." Mike gasped.

"Let's go see what it is." Randall suggested.

"Be careful." Ed warned. "It could be dangerous."

Everybody nodded before they continued looking for the sound. When they finally found which door had opened, they gasped.

It was the cellar door.

"I don't wanna go down there?" Randall shook his head, backing away fearfully. "Not after last time."

"We will go down ourselves then." Lorraine offered.

"I'll go down with you." Sully stepped forward. "Who knows what you might encounter down there?"

The Warrens nodded before the three of them descended down the stairs to the cellar. When they reached the bottom, they looked around. Everything seemed to be normal.

"I don't understand." Sully frowned. "What could be down here that the demon would find important?"

"Let's look around and see what we can find." Ed decided.

Sully and Lorraine nodded before the three of them began looking around. After some searching, Lorraine finally found something that might be of some importance.

"Guys look." She gasped as she brought it to view. "It's a tape."

"This tape is dated back in 2010!" Sully gasped as he took it and inspected it.

"We need to see what's on that tape." Ed nodded.

Neither Sully nor Lorraine argued as they went upstairs, taking the tape with them.

"What happened? What did you guys find" Fungus asked when the three finally exited the cellar.

"We found a tape." Sully answered. "Dated all the way back to 2010."

"Do you have a tape player, Randall?" Ed asked the lizard.

"Yeah, it's hooked up to the TV, why?"

"We need to see what's on it."

The monsters gulped as Ed took the tape and pushed it into the tape player. He pressed play and turned in the television. After a short moment of nothing but static, the screen went to a video of four friends, three girls and one guy, playing with the ouija board, just like the monsters did.

As the video went on, it showed that the girls had summoned Zozo himself. After the demon confirmed his name, the video took a dark turn as the girl Madison started laughing uncontrollably like a crazed maniac, shaking and screaming as she laid on the floor, with her friends trying to calm her. It was quite obvious what had happened.

Zozo had possessed her.
