Enter Ben, on Nar Shaddaa.
Ben approaches the Falcon, discovering the droid to be completely intact.
Ben. Not my fault. Falcon, you're making me look bad.
Ben opens the control panel and discovers the fruit of Nen Yim's labors: the droid's insides have been frozen. The droid brain, the one part Ben could not replace, has been damaged.
Oh, Falcon, what the blazes?
Not knowing where to start, Ben pulls the appropriate supplies from his belt and starts to work on the Falcon. As he works, he uses his pyrokinesis to melt any snow that comes near the droid.
[aside] I can't believe how stupid I acted back at Thrawn's palace. I should have figured a family of Chiss would hate me on sight. Son of the fire Je'daii flying a fire-breathing dragon into an ice penthouse . . . yeah, maybe not the best move. Still, I hate feeling like a reject. Jacen and Danni got to visit the throne room. I got to wait in the lobby with Drask. "Fire is bad," Drask told me. That pretty much sums it up. I know I can't keep the truth from my friends much longer. Ever since the Praxeum, one line of that Great Prophecy keeps coming back to me: To storm or fire the worlds must fall. And I am the fire guy, the first one since the Clone Wars when Rwookrrorro burned down. If they knew the truth, why would anyone welcome me back? I'll have to go on the run again. Even though I know the drill, it still depresses me.
Thinking back on his feelings of isolation and inferiority next to Jacen in the false memory Shira planted in his and Danni's minds and now with Jacen and Danni growing closer, Ben is forced to shake himself out of the depression that starts to form.
Enough, Skywalker. Nobody's going to play any Bass Viols for you just because you're not important. Fix the stupid droid.
Enter Abeloth, revealing her true form: a humanoid and barely-female being with deeply sunken black eye sockets and tiny silver eyes reminiscent of tiny stars at the bottom of a deep well, with straw-like honey-blond hair that reaches to the ground and a large full-lipped mouth that stretches from ear-to-ear and contains needle-like teeth.
Abeloth. You're wrong, Ben.
Ben pauses in his work and looks at Abeloth.
Abeloth. They need you desperately. In some ways, you are the most important of the Seven, like the central processor in the droid's brain. Without you, the power of the others means nothing. They will never reach me, never stop me. And I will fully wake.
Ben. [to Abeloth] You. You killed my mother.
Abeloth. [smiles] Ah, but Ben . . . I am your mother, too — the First Mother. Do not oppose me. Walk away now. Let my son Shimrra rise and become Supreme Overlord. And I will ease your burdens. You will tread lightly on across the worlds.
Ben grabs a hydrospanner and tosses it at Abeloth.
Ben. Leave me alone.
Exit Abeloth.
Walk away now? Not likely. Give me the biggest hydrospanner you got.
Ben retrieves a hydrospanner from his belt and runs back toward the warehouse.
Exit all.
