The 30 Day OTP Challenge featuring Robin/Lucina

Day 26: Doing something ridiculous
Rating: K ( Slight OOC warning? )
Word Count: 725
Summary: "Lucina, why am I wearing hair accessories?"

"Robin," a soft whisper tickled his ear for a moment but unfortunately, the tactician simply groaned and continued to sleep and drool on his open book. Lucina sighed as she tried to get Robin to bed; sadly, he wasn't cooperating at all and preferred his desk apparently.

On the other side of him was Cynthia, who had joined Lucina on her mission. Now, she was bored. She glanced around the room for a minute, trying to figure out what to do, when suddenly she noticed something of interest on Lucina's nightstand.

Sneaking away while the two were distracted, she came back with a small box. Opening it revealed girly hair accessories - probably some gifts from Olivia to Lucina - and hummed as she began to put some pretty clips in Robin's snow white hair.

"Cynthia," Lucina began with a sigh, "what are you doing to my fiancé?"

"Making him pretty, what else?" Cynthia wasn't interested in such girly things anymore, not after her mother died, but she was willing to sacrifice that character trait to entertain herself. Hey, if Robin wasn't going to wake up then he would be the subject of her boredom. "Come on, Lucy! Join in!"

"I'm not a child anymore, Cynthia." Lucina sighed once more, yet she kept glancing at the small box on the desk. Cynthia's smirk only rose her temptation levels and finally, the usual stoic and level headed princess grabbed a few clips and began to place them in Robin's hair. She felt kind of bad about it; however, Robin wasn't waking up.

Now it was mostly Lucina placing the clips in Robin's hair ( she was getting way into it; Cynthia concludes there was some pent up childhood feelings that were finally coming out ) and not too long after, a snort left Robin and he jolted up, some of the clips and bows flying out of his hair.

"Risen! Risen riding wolves! They're attacking the camp!" He flailed a bit, still half asleep. He took a moment to calm himself down before feeling something strange pulling at his locks of hair. He slowly reached up, pulling a bow from the rat's nest and looked at it before reaching up again and pulling more clips and bows out. At first, he looked over at Cynthia but the Pegasus Knight simply pointed at Lucina before sprinting away, laughing all the way to her tent ( karma would soon get her, as she tripped just a few minutes after running out ).

"Lucina, why am I wearing hair accessories?" He asked his fiancé, who had an embarrassed look on her face.

"I wanted to make you pretty?" An innocent and cute response was what he got from her, clearly trying to mimic Cynthia. The tactician simply stared at her, a bit stunned as to how she said her reasoning, before opening his mouth to speak.

"Just get these things out of my hair."

After that mess, the two ventured to their bed, where Robin laid his head in Lucina's lap. The princess ran her fingers through his hair, trying to make it look a bit more decent. She always loved his hair. It reminded her of winter and snow. It really was beautiful.

"I swear, Cynthia influences you too much." Robin clicked his tongue in thought. "At least she's not making you do any crazy moves again."

"I suppose so, but it was rather fun while it lasted. Besides, you weren't waking up." Lucina giggled softly. "I'm sorry, it won't happen again."

"I'm not mad, Lucina." He rolled a bit, nuzzling his face in her lap for a minute. "You were cute when you gave me your reason~."

"Be quiet, you." The princess hissed out, clearly embarrassed by how easily Robin called her cute. The tactician simply laughed out loud, feeling his eyelids grow heavy once more. Lucina truly was everything he could ask for in a person. He was the luckiest man on earth now that he was with her. The way she ran her fingers through his hair soothed him and he found himself falling asleep.

A small laugh and a headshake was what he got from her, but she clearly enjoyed the time they spent together. "Sweet dreams, Robin." She whispered, allowing him to get some well-needed rest.

A/N: I'm honestly not very good at writing these "omg so random!" moments, especially with Lucina. I can write sarcasm but not over the top ridiculous stuff since I'd like to keep the characters, well, in character ( aside from giving Robin and Lucina some occasional snark and sarcasm, though I mostly give that to Robin ). Nevertheless, I got a drabble out! Next drabble is gonna be extremely fluffy.

We're almost done. I can't believe it! I'm a bit sad that the end is almost near. I'll save my sobbing for the very end.
