A/N: Time jump! FYI, Kaya's new nickname is Ky (pronounced like guy, but with a 'K'). Longer A/N at the end, you don't have to read it, but it explains why I've been a shit uploader the past few weeks/…month…

BB's POV

-November 23-

I watched as Sam escorted yet another random girl out of his bedroom and to the front door.

"So Olivia, I'll see you later?" He asked her. The girl giggled and nodded.

"Of course." She said with a sly smile. "I had fun." Sam chuckled and shut the door after her.

"You make me so sick." I said as he sat down on the couch. He shrugged and started tapping away on his phone. "You just got Kaya to take you back, not even a week ago, and that's what you go and do?" He asked.

"I could care less. She's still not giving me what I wanted, so I have to either take matters into my own hands or go somewhere else." Sam said, not looking up from his phone.

"Did you ever think that Kaya has a certain self respect and isn't easy like the girls you pick up from nightclubs?" I asked him and he shrugged again.

"As I said, I could care less…" Sam said.

"She found out once. It's only a matter of time before she finds out again." I told him. Kaya's a very sweet girl and she definitely doesn't deserve to be treated like this.

"But I got her to get whatever she was told out of her pretty little head. I convinced her that I didn't hook up with other girls. I can easily do it again." He said and put his phone down on the arm of the couch. His eyebrows bunched together and he turned to face me.

"How exactly did Kaya found out?" He asked. I gulped and shrugged. Surely Kaya didn't mention my name. She wouldn't do that, would she? "Did you tell her, BB?"

"Why would I do that?" I asked him.

"You're her friend just as much as you are mine. I wouldn't put it past you."

"I'm not getting involved with your fucked up relationship. I didn't tell her." I lied. I'm already involved, but for a good reason. Sam doesn't deserve her, anyone could tell you that, and she doesn't deserve to end up heartbroken. "We need more milk, by the way." I said, quickly changing the subject in hopes that Sam wouldn't continue questioning me.

Kaya's POV

"What time are your parents getting here?" Sawyer asked. I walked out of his kitchen and into the living room.

"I'm not sure actually. They said that they'd call when they got through baggage claim at LAX." I told him and sat down on the couch.

"Okay." He said and flipped through the channels. "What's your other brother like?"

"Um, he's kind of like Alex in the fact that he's overprotective. You should have seen him during high school. He never let me out of his sight." I said. "Other than that, he's pretty chill. He's not a big sports player though. He dabbled in a few during school, but never stuck with one. We're actually a lot alike now that I think about it. He's just a male version of me, minus a few things of course." I said, but kept the fact that our relationship is strained to myself.

"How so?" Sawyer asked.

"We're overly forgiving yet very capable of holding grudges for ages if someone burns us bad enough, good with cameras, quiet at times, musically adept, tend to stick to ourselves, a lot of acquaintances but our friends are few and far between." I told him and saw him looking at me out of the corner of my eye.

"How many actual friends do you have?" Sawyer asked and I shrugged. I knew he wasn't trying to be invasive, just curious. His concern filled eyes betrayed his neutral facial expression.

"Like really good and trustworthy friends?" I asked and he nodded. "I don't know." I said and started listing them out. "There's you, Tyler, Joey, Penn, Harrison, Shane and Lisa, Connor, Marshall, Zoe, Louise and Tanya, and Alicia."

"Who are Penn, Harrison, Marshall, and Alicia?" Sawyer asked.

"Penn, Harrison, and Marshall are the only three people from high school that I still talk to. They're the only people who know what my parents and I do, well aside from all the people who happened to watch the VMA's. I actually regret doing that, but that's not important right now. And I work with Alicia." I told him and he nodded.

"What made you regret going to the VMA's?" He asked, his brow furrowed and head tilted to the side.

"I kind of agreed to do it without really thinking about it. I kind of went against my whole 'don't tell anyone what you actually do' rule. Thankfully no one's brought it up or anything."

Sawyer's POV

"I'm not trying to sound rude or anything, but I think you should let that go. You're a smart girl, I'm sure you can tell who's using you and who's sincere in their actions." I told her and she looked up at me.

"That's easier said than done." She said quietly. "Like I said, I'm overly forgiving. Not to mention the fact that I always see the good in people." She looked down at her hands and messed with the hem of the shirt she was wearing.

"I've been burned before." She whispered. My heart sank to the pit of my stomach. I agree that she's too quick to forgive someone, but the fact that she's been used before tears me apart.

"Tell me about your friends from high school. What are they like?" I asked her, changing the subject.

"Well, Penn is quite the talker. She never stops, I feel bad for her family. She's always talking up a storm, not caring if people actually care to hear what she says. She's absolutely gorgeous; she has very dark brown hair, angular face, and these copper colored eyes that just put you at a loss for words. She's very confident, and has no verbal filter. What ever she thinks, she says." She said and chuckled. A small smile found its way to my lips as she talked so fondly of this girl.

"Literally, she could be thinking of the most sexual stuff and she'll just go ahead and say it. She always used to say that she does it 'for my own good' because I'm 'too innocent'. I can remember this one time, oh lord," She said and her cheeks flushed at whatever memory she was thinking about. "We were at the mall, and she insisted on dragging me into Victoria's Secret with her. She pushed me through the store all the while picking up random articles of… clothing… and pushed me into one of the changing booths. I refused to change. I literally held onto the door frame of the changing room but she pushed me hard enough and slammed the door shut." I chuckled at her friend's behavior and shook my head. Kaya is definitely a very reserved person.

"She told me to not come out of the little booth slash room thing unless I was showing her how everything looked. I was mortified." As Kaya kept talking, I could easily picture Kaya being shoved by this girl in the middle of the store, her cheeks ablaze like they are now. "Long story short, I haven't gone shopping with her in a while."

"I can understand." I told her. My mind however, had other thoughts.

I wonder what this Penn character gave to Kaya to try on. It must have been really nice.

"Harrison is one of the greatest guys I've ever met. He reminds me a lot of Tyler." Kaya's voice broke me from my thoughts. "Actually, he's pretty much a ginger Tyler."

"Do you have any embarrassing memories with him as well?" I inquired. Kaya looked at the TV as she thought.

"This one time, we were at a football game and he was trying to hit on the chick that was sitting next to me. I got up to go get us drinks and when I came back, I tripped and accidentally poured our beers on her." I couldn't contain my laughter at this story.

"Oh my god, you've got to be kidding me. You're joking." I said in between laughs.

"Oh how I wish I was. Harrison and I bolted out of the game. Of course, not before Harrison gave the girl his number." Kaya said.

"Did she call?" I asked her.

"Of course she did…" She said with a role of her eyes.

"What about Marshall?"

"He's a year younger then me, Penn, and Harrison. He's Harrison's sidekick. Always follows him everywhere he goes, he's like his shadow. At first Harrison was annoyed by it, but slowly started to like it. He liked that Marshall looked up to him so much in that older brother kind of way. But, Marshall was much more studious than any of us ever were; he had straight A's all throughout high school." I quirked my eyebrow in confusion.

"And no, I don't have any embarrassing memories that he was a part of." She said.

"What kind of student were you Kaya?" I asked her. I was genuinely interested in what she would tell me. I'd assumed that she was top of her class, but evidently she wasn't.

"I was okay. I got B's and C's. A few A's, but those were only in the art, gym, and music classes that I filled my schedule with." I nodded and motioned for her to continue. "I focused on my music and soccer more than anything else. I didn't really have a passion in English, math, science or social studies so I got the scores I needed in order to pass and went on with my life."

"What did your parents say about that?" I asked. She was about to answer but the shrill sound of her phone ringing interrupted her. She smiled as she looked at the screen and jumped off of the couch and scurried onto the balcony, shutting the door softly behind her.

As creepy as this sounds, I watched her talk on the phone with whoever was on the other end. A large smile was spread across her face and her eyes sparkled in the sunlight. As she leaned against the railing, the back of her shirt rode up a little and my mind couldn't help but go back onto its perverted tangent about Kaya's Victoria's Secret adventure.

Get a grip, Sawyer. Think about dead puppies or old women or something… Basically anything besides Kaya, please.

I was interrupted from my thoughts of old women dancing when Kaya plopped back onto the couch to put her shoes back on.

"That was my brother. They just got in the cab." She said as she finished retying her shoe. "I have to go tidy up my place. I'll see you tomorrow, yeah?" She asked.

"Sure thing, Ky." I said with a nod.

"Did you just call me Ky?"

Kaya's POV

"Yes I did. Do you have a problem with that?" Sawyer asked and I shook my head.

"No, it's just weird." I told him and he shrugged.

"So? It's just a nickname. Frankly, two syllables get to be a bit too much when you're in a lazy mood." He said and I rolled my eyes.

"Fine... Then I get to give you a nickname." I told him and he shrugged again.

"I don't care. As long as it's an original one."

"I'll remember that." I said and walked to the door. "I'll see you tomorrow."

"Alright, bye. Tell your dad I said hello." I nodded and shut the door behind me. While I was grabbing my keys from my pocket I bumped into someone and dropped them on the ground. The person who I bumped into reached down and grabbed them before I got the chance to.

"You should really watch where you're going." Sam said and I took my keys from his outstretched hand.

"Maybe you should let me know the next time you're going to stand outside my door creepily." I said and unlocked my door.

"Where are you coming from?" Sam asked as he followed me inside. "Especially dressed like that." I glanced down at my ratty old Vans, sweatpants, and faded Pink Floyd shirt. I'm comfortable. All I did was hang out with Sawyer, it's not like we went anywhere.

Sawyer seemed to not mind…

"I came from Joey's place. And why do you care about my clothes?" I asked as I reached into my fridge to grab a water bottle, which Sam took out of my hands and took a gulp out of. I sighed and took another one out and shut the door.

"You're normally more… put together. You try harder." Sam said and I eyed his clothes. His outfit wasn't put together either.

"At least I don't look like I just walked out of the 'Thrift Shop' music video." I mumbled and walked out of my kitchen.

Haha… Good one. Kaya: 1 Sam: 0

"I'm going to pretend like I didn't hear that." Sam said as he followed me to my bedroom. "Why were you at Joey's?" He asked and sat on my bed.

"I was hanging out with Joey, duh." I said and began picking up the clothes that were strewn on the floor and placing them in my hamper.

"Joey's car isn't in the lot." Sam replied quickly.

"He's getting it detailed." I countered. "He loves his car more than his hair, I swear."

"That's true."

Whoa… You've got to be kidding me… Did he seriously just believe that? Good job on your lying skills, Kaya. Five points for Gryffindor.

"So my family will be here in about thirty minutes." I said as I moved to stand near the footboard of my bed.

"Why?" Sam groaned.

"Because they're my family and they can visit me whenever they want to…"

"Do you know how inconvenient this is?" He asked and I shrugged.

"Why is it inconvenient?"

"Because I was going to ask you if you wanted to go to dinner tonight and then go to a club afterwards or something, but I guess that'll have to be postponed." Sam said and leaned against the headboard.

"There's always tomorrow. My family doesn't consist of five year olds who need to be watched constantly… They can handle themselves for a few hours." I told him.

"So we're going out tomorrow then?" He asked, sounding hopeful that I'd say yes.

"Sure. I don't see why not…" I said and glanced at my alarm clock. "Do you want to stay and see my parents again and meet my other brother, or do you want to leave?"

"I'll stay." He said and folded his arms behind his head.

Definitely did not see that coming…

Alex's POV

"I get to see my sister, I get to see my sister, I get to see my sister" I sang and held the last syllable for a few seconds before Ash shoved me. "And I am excited."

"Alex, I know you're excited, but you literally talk to her every day." Ashton said, not looking up from his stupid phone. I swear that thing is superglued to his hand. "So please shut the f—"

"Ashton, language!" Mum yelled.

"Please be quiet." He corrected himself.

"Just because she hates you now doesn't mean that you have to be all grumpy." I grumbled and looked out of the window of our rental car. Seriously, one car will not be enough for the four of us. They know fairly well that I want to explore LA. I can't do that when I have to share a car with three other people.

"She doesn't hate me…" Ashton said and I chuckled.

"Yeah, mate. Sure. You can tell yourself that all you want, but it's true and you can't deny it." I told him. "She's going to hate you for eternity. For multiple reasons."

"Whatever. You know nothing about the situation."

"Try me. Like you said, she and I talk every day. I know more than you think I do." I said and tore my gaze away from the palm trees lining the road to look at Ashton.

"Stop bickering. It's not healthy for your relationship. As siblings you should be able to sort out your differences and not dwell on petty things." My mum chimed in.

"You've got to be kidding me! What he did is anything but petty, mum! If you knew what he did then you'd be pretty pissed as well." I said and went back to looking at the palm trees.

This week was going to be a shit storm. Kaya and Ashton haven't talked to each other in a few months; actually, they haven't talked in nearly two years.

Actually, now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure they've deleted each other's contacts from their phones. But I'm not entirely certain. I'll have to snag Kaya's phone when she's not looking and see…

They're very civil around our parents but behind closed doors, harsh words and deadly glares are exchanged between the two of them and I swear World War Five will occur whenever they're in the same room for an extended period of time. I only hope that they are capable of not fighting for our parents' sake. Well, mum's more so than dad's if I'm honest. And because their relationship is practically nonexistent, my relationship with him has suffered as well. I guess you can say that I favor Kaya more than Ashton…

A/N: Hello my lovely readers. This note will be in list form. So here we go:

1. This has not been revised for grammar or anything. So sorry if sentence structure and grammar happen to be iffy, and if the story line was a bit weird/confusing, I felt like I should give you guys/girls something to read.

2. What do you think Alex did to Kaya (almost) two years ago? Do you think what happened was his fault or do you think that he was just in the wrong place in the wrong time…? Or friends with the wrong person…?

3. What do you want Kaya's nickname for Sawyer to be? Should I change Sawyer's nickname for Kaya to something different? Give me your input. I want to start asking you guys/girls more questions and I'd really appreciate it if you guys could take a few seconds and answer whatever questions I ask. Of course, you aren't obligated to do so; I just want this to kind of be "interactive"… Just think of my questions as "Questions of the Day" that some YouTubers ask at the end of their videos.

4. Now is the time where I explain why I haven't updated since the dinosaurs roamed the earth… Well, first of all writer's block is a bitch. I keep getting ideas for future chapters, yet they aren't in sequential order. The other day I had an idea that won't take place until a certain important day and if I were to write that big of a time jump, it wouldn't make sense because I need to write a shit ton of back story for it. Being the sporadic person that I am, I find it hard for me to stay on track without this happening. Second, I'm taking time out of my schedule to write this. Normally I'm pretty good at finding time to fit in writing chapters, but I have had midterm exams to study for and that's taken most of my concentration. Thankfully I had my last one today, which is why I'm updating. I have off tomorrow (29 January) and Thursday (30 January) so I'll write the next chapter then.

5. The things that were written in this chapter will be explained. The grudge holding, the amount of people that Kaya can trust wholeheartedly, what happened to her that made her hate her own brother with such a passion that I didn't want to dive into in this chapter (I will in the next chapter though… Don't worry.), why she regrets going to the VMA's, all of it will be explained. And yes, I did have the VMA thing outlined before I wrote it into the story.

6. Another question: If I were to write in another video, would you want it written in the characters involved in the video's POV or in
third person/all knowing POV?

7. I had an idea this morning when listening to Beyonce's new album while on the bus, Partition specifically. It'd be an AU with Sawyer and I'd use Kaya again but it'd be a completely different story. Her parents wouldn't be who they are in this story, Sawyer wouldn't be a YouTuber (he'd start out as one but would eventually grow out of it and move onto bigger projects), and Kaya wouldn't have any brothers, nor would there be any weird love-triangle things. It'd be strictly Kawyer. But there will be rumors… Lots and lots of rumors. I would also like to test out a beta for this story. I'd like for the beta to be an avid writer, someone who has a fair amount of feels for Sawyer, and someone who is okay/comfortable with writing more mature themes (aka sex.). Obviously since a part of it will be based off of Partition, there will be chapters for more mature audiences. I mean, have you heard the song? They have sex in the back of a limo… Bey and Jay gettin' it. If this isn't your forte or you find smut fics gross then you don't have to read. And I may or may not make it an explicitly smutty fic. I may just skip over the acts and go straight to the aftermath. Who knows…? I'm indecisive. But I don't want the readers to be uncomfortable. If I get more responses saying 'no, I wouldn't read this' as opposed to 'sure, go ahead' then It won't be rated M, but rated T for language just like this one. This won't be written until I get farther into WSMTO. Also, I post this on Wattpad so I'll be asking those readers the same question.

8. Thank you if you read all seven of those last points. And I'm terribly sorry that I kept you guys waiting for so long. This chapter sucks… sorry guys.
