Sorry it took so long!

They had been home for a week with Grace and Abby had been being persistent with messages and phone calls demanding to know everything. In the end Tony and Ziva unplugged the main phone and turned their mobiles off because Abby had a habit of calling just as they managed to get Grace to sleep and the ringing woke her. "What rule is it…like three….never be unreachable….we've disconnected all our phones…" Tony whispered to Ziva late one evening.

"We have e-mails…if someone needed us they could e-mail us"

"Yeah, unless it's Gibbs"

Ziva grinned at him "I'm sure he'd get McGee or Abby to for him"

Tony nodded and stroked her hair "I love you"

She smiled "I know…I love you too…" She looked at him then stood up from the couch "But as much as I like spending time with you, I'm tired so I'm going to bed"

Tony nodded again "I won't be long" He grabbed her wrist as she was about to walk away and pulled her down to kiss her. "Night, Sweetcheeks" he said releasing her.

She smiled at him and walked into their bedroom. The crib was in the left corner of the room and she walked up to it leaning on the side looking down at Grace. The baby was sleeping on her back head to one side. She was in the pink baby grow Abby had got with Special Agent DiNozzo on it and the holster for her pacifier. Ziva smiled down at her daughter and then moved to her bed getting in face down into the pillows.

She woke up what felt like minutes later and looked around the room. Tony wasn't there and there was no noise in the apartment. She stood up and moved to the crib in the corner. She looked down at Grace. She was a chalky white and her face looked like stone. Ziva put her hand down on the baby's chest and immediately panic gripped her. There was no movement. Ziva stood rooted to the spot for a minute before running to get the phone and going back into the bedroom. She dialled 911 and waited. The operator picked up and said the paramedics were on their way. Ziva dropped the phone and waited shaking sitting with Grace. There was a knock on the door and Ziva jumped up and ran to get it. The two men rushed in and Ziva showed her to the room. They sat blocking Ziva's view and eventually they said they needed to get Grace to the hospital where there was more equipment.

They all got in the medic car and drove speedily through the streets. They got to the hospital and everything went round in a blur. Eventually a woman approached Ziva holding a phone "You need to call your fiancée. He needs to know"

Ziva took the phone and looked at it. She pressed three of the numbers. Who was she calling? Her fiancée. Tony. What was his number? What was happening? Her fiancée…her baby…the phone…the nurse. The room started spinning.

Ziva bolted awake gasping for air and sweating. She looked next to her at Tony who was sleeping. Her eyes scanned the room and fell upon the white crib in the corner. She got out of bed and padded quietly over and looked in. Grace was sleeping her cheeks a rosy pink. Ziva lowered her hand and placed it on Grace's chest. She let out a breath she didn't know she'd been holding when she felt the light raise and fall of the baby chest. Tony woke and sat up looking for Ziva. When he saw her stood next to the crib he frowned "Everything okay?" he asked.

She turned around and looked at him "Yeah" She whispered.

"Did she cry? I thought it was my turn?"

"No, I…just woke up" He raised his eyebrows disbelieving. She knew he didn't believe her and gave in glancing once back at Grace and then walking over sitting in the bed. "I had a bad dream."

"About what?"

Ziva relayed everything that happened in the dream and he pulled her to him "Hey…she's fine…you've seen that now"

Ziva nodded "Yes…and she's healthy…and there is nothing wrong with her so she'll be fine"

Tony nodded "Yeah…" he lay back down and pulled her with him. "You need to sleep. You've not had any. I'll get her for the rest of the night if she wakes up, okay?"

Ziva looked at him "But that's not fair on you"

"Ziva, I've had more sleep than you…it's fine okay?" She nodded agreeing.

They were soon back to sleep and Tony was true to his word and got up every time Grace cried.

They managed to sleep late the next morning but were woken by a loud banging on their door. Grace hearing it started crying. "You get Grace, I'll get the door…stay here" Tony said his over protective side kicking in at the violent banging. Ziva nodded and went to pick their daughter up, cradling her close and going to sit back on the bed. Tony went to the door and undid the chain opening it. A pacing Abby was there and as soon as the door opened she spun and screamed "What the hell is going on?! Why are all your phones turned off?!"

Tony took a step back "Oh my God…" he said under his breath at the sight of Abby standing and screaming at him. "Abs why don't you talk a bit quieter? Uh…we have neighbours"

"I don't care! I've been worried sick! Three days! Three days you haven't been answering my calls or anything!"

Tony ushered Abby in and shut the door behind her. "Please stop yelling…! You already scared Grace out of her mind. I think you can hear Ziva's struggling to calm her down. We disconnected our phones because you kept calling and Abby…not being mean or anything it does get tiring and you were calling when we'd just put Grace down and it would wake her up"

Abby shut up and looked at Tony. "Oh…sorry" There was a silence between them only filled Grace's crying and Ziva's comforting words. "You know you could have just told me…"

"We tried…but you wouldn't listen"

"I'm sorry"

Soon the cries stopped and Ziva's voice filled the room. "Hush little baby, don't say a word, papa's gonna buy you a mocking bird, and if that mocking bird don't sing, mammas gonna buy you a diamond ring, and if that ring turns brass, papas gonna buy you a looking glass, and if that looking glass gets broke, mamas gonna buy you a billy goat and if that billy goat won't pull, papas gonna buy cart and bull and if that cart and bull turn over, mamas gonna buy you a dog named Rover and if that dog named Rover won't bark, papas gonna buy you horse and cart and if that horse and cart fall down you'll still be the sweetest baby in town" she sang.

Abby and Tony looked at each other with raised eyebrows and moved to the doorway to watch as Ziva put Grace in her crib. She turned to walk out but stopped at the sight of Abby and Tony staring at her with smiled spread across their faces.

"What? It always put Tali to sleep when she was younger"

Tony nodded a grin still plastered on his face "And to think you doubted you'd be a good mom"
