So here is the court case about Tucker and his death, oh and Olivia finally opens up in court and to Elliot about her assault. So enjoy it's another emotional rollercoaster of course! Chapter 26: The Truth Will Set You Free

Fin sets five books down on Cragen's desk and gives him a look.

"You need to see those and make sure Stabler doesn't." Fin said as he walked out, leaving Cragen to read what he had put in front of him.

Cragen opened one of them and the first page had read

My sweet Olivia, she had been one of the best I had ever done. I just wish I had gotten to finish the job. At least I got to feel what she felt like. It was exactly what I had imagined all those years…

Cragen slammed the diary closed and felt sick to his stomach. There was no way the court was going to go easy on Olivia and Cragen knew that and he knew she'd have to say exactly what happened in that warehouse. He just hoped she didn't get too angry or emotional or she would say things that could get her convicted…

Olivia sighed as she zipped the side of her boot up. She grabbed her coat off the bed and walked out to the living room where Elliot sat waiting for her. She had this horrible feeling today, she had been in the bathroom throwing up all morning.

Elliot stood up and pulled her into his arms, kissing her forehead.

"I love you just remember that." He said as he pulled away.

"I know, I love you too."

They heard a knock at the door and Olivia walked over and opened it seeing Jennifer. Olivia rolled her eyes and looked at Elliot.

"The door is for you." Olivia said. "I have court to go to. So I'll meet you there."

Olivia grabs her coat and pushes past Jennifer. She walks down the stairs and sees Munch and Fin waiting for her. She hugs Fin and Munch tightly.

"I just needed a hug, sorry."

"It's alright baby girl. How are the babies doing since we last saw you?" Fin asks as they climb in the car.

"Good." She says as she rubs her stomach.

They drive off and Olivia feels her nerves hitting her and she keeps thinking that she can't handle this. She hadn't even told Elliot about what really happened to her and he was going to be so upset that she didn't, but it wasn't the easiest thing to share. She had already felt weak and she would've been completely insecure after telling him and she couldn't handle that right now.

She just breathed in and out as they pulled up to the court house. She knew that there was a chance she could get jail time and she couldn't afford for that to happen. She needed to stay calm and collected so that the lawyers couldn't get to her.

Fin opened her door and gave her a small smile as she climbed out. She walked up the court stairs which were surrounded by news people and Munch and Fin just pushed them back as they climbed the stairs and finally got to the door and Olivia instantly felt so scared. She didn't know what she would do or say, it all just left her mind. She knew she was screwed at this point.

"Detective Olivia Benson to the stand."

The District Attorney called and Olivia walked up and sat down and they sworn her.

"Detective, tell the people a little about the relationship with you and Shane."

"Uh, we had worked together for years and we didn't get along much but he didn't really like our squad too much. We had only had a work relationship I never had personal experiences with him, so there isn't much to say."

"Tell us about your and your children's kidnapping."

Olivia shifted in her seat, knowing exactly what he wanted her to say.

"He had knocked me out and taken me to an old warehouse. I'm not sure when he got my children. He had killed my nanny. He kept me tied up and assaulted me and I don't know what he did to my kids. I got free and knocked him out, being able to get away as the police had just shown up."

"Assaulted you how?"

The DA stands up and grabs a piece of paper.

"He indicates that you and him had sex."

"He and I never had sex. He had sexually assaulted, he used his fingers and mouth." Olivia said and looked over in the court room at Elliot.

"Did Shane at any point resist you on the day of his death?"

"He had tried to assault me; he started rubbing his hands on me."

"Well he couldn't resist right Detective? Because you went there as a civilian, no badge to say you were an officer. Did you even tried to arrest him?"

"No I didn't try."

"You just shot him and then shot him again which killed him."

"He had tried to assault me again and he had my daughter somewhere."

"You shot him in the knee and then when he was on the ground not fighting or trying to get away, you shot him again in the head isn't that correct detective?"

Olivia could feel herself getting worked up and she didn't want to say anything that would get her in trouble but this DA was pushing her to and she felt like she was going to blow.

"Objection." The defense attorney said as she stood up.

"I'll allow it. Answer the question detective."

"Did you or did you not kill a man that was doing nothing to hurt you? He was injured from the shot to the knee so you decided to shoot him in the head."

"Yes I shot him in the knee and then head. He wasn't innocent, he was a waste of space. He had raped and killed women and then he cut into them marking them. He deserved what I had did to him, he assaulted me and my 2 year old daughter—I."

She was cut off by the judge.

"That's enough!" He slammed the mallet down.

Olivia wiped the tears from her face.

"The people rest."

Olivia steps down and walked over to Elliot and falls into his arms crying.

…

Olivia sat outside the court room as the jury was deciding.

"You didn't tell me he assaulted you." Elliot said softly looking down in his coffee.

"I was scared. It wasn't easy. I just couldn't do it. I was going to tell you."

"It's okay. I understand."

"They have a verdict." The DA said and walked back in the court room.

"That was too fast." Olivia said as they walked in.

Olivia sat down next to the defense attorney and they all stood.

"Go ahead." The judge said looking at the jury.

"We find the defended not guilty."

Olivia ran over and hugged Elliot. She was so glad this was all finally over for good.

ONE MONTH LATER…

Olivia was watching tv as she rocked Vera to sleep. Kaden laid on the floor in is ninja turtle sleeping bag watching cartoons. Elliot walked in and smiled. Olivia gave him smile and the smile disappeared when she saw Jennifer.

"Weren't you supposed to go back to England?" Olivia asked.

"I decided to stay here in New York. I got a job offer so it's better plus Elliot's here and I miss my best friend." Jennifer said as she smiled at Elliot.

Olivia rolled her eyes. Elliot sat down beside Olivia and she gave him a look, he knew all too well.

Olivia knew this friendship wasn't going to work for her. She sighed as she looked over a Jennifer and she knew she needed to talk to Elliot.

A/N: Okay so clearly Jennifer is back and Olivia is going to be handling that. So now that the Tucker era has ended and you all know what really happened to Olivia, maybe it's time for a little few family chapters. :)
