Apples are kind of the perfect Aphrodite girl.
maybe not perfect, but truest
Because on the outside they're temptresses
just ask eve, or snow, or atalanta
With their redgreengold skin
that hides the bruises so well.
But on the inside they're sweet and white
leave them out and they'll yellow and rot
And clean as virgin snow
at least for a little bit.
And then at their core
they're pure poison.
