I do not own Naruto Shippuden or any of the characters.

Peace

Naruto stepped out of his office and sighed looking around. He felt bad for calling Tsunade lazy for not wanting to do the paperwork. Even during times of peace, there seemed to be more paperwork than necessary. Of course, he didn't do the paperwork anyway. That was his advisor's job. And Sasuke did an excellent job of it. He would keep Naruto up to date on any decisions he made but he had the job of filling out the paperwork while Naruto was with Hinata and their two children, Bolt and Himawari. Both had inherited their parents' Byakugan and their father's naturally massive chakra, as well as the whisker marks, and Bolt had inherited his father's blonde hair while Himawari inherited Hinata's blue hair. Both of their hair naturally styled itself to look like a leaf. And both were as naturally gifted as their parents were combined.

"Done," Sasuke reported stepping out of the office after Naruto and making Naruto grin.

For all the complaining Sasuke did, Naruto found it hilarious that he complained so heavily about a day's worth of paperwork that took him only a few minutes thanks to his Sharingan.

"Of course," Naruto snorted. "Hey listen, Bolt was wondering if he could get your permission to train with Sarada."

"I don't see why not," Sasuke shrugged. "They're going to get together sooner or later if we don't let them hang out. Besides, I'm interested to see if your son't Byakugan is better than my daughter's Sharingan."

Naruto smirked and then laughed as he remembered a hilariously outrageous rumor that he had heard.

"What?" Sasuke asked.

"I heard someone say that the reason Sarada wears glasses is because she's actually secretly Karin's daughter," Naruto chuckled. "Anything I should know?"

"Yeah, you're an idiot," Sasuke smirked.

They both laughed, both knowing full well that the reason for the glasses was that the lasting effects of the explosion was that, despite the Gelel Stones, numerous of the people that had seen the explosion had developed eye problems. Sakura had gotten contacts rather than admit to it so not many people knew she needed them. Sarada had simply inherited the problem.

Naruto stepped out of the building first, finding Hinata waiting with a picnic basket and Bolt off to one side, looking expectant. Naruto nodded and Bolt smiled and ran off. Naruto walked over to Hinata and looked back at Sasuke.

"What're you going to do?" Naruto asked.

"I'm going to see if I can get myself let back into the bedroom," Sasuke sighed. "That damn couch is uncomfortable."

"I'll bet," Naruto laughed. "Good luck."

Sasuke left and Naruto and Hinata headed into the village. Basically all of the couples Sasuke had gotten together had ended up getting married. The only one that hadn't yet was Neji and Tenten, largely because Neji had been away from the village for the last five years training, stopping home only for one day every few months to see Tenten. He was due back soon but for the time being, he was not around long enough to get married.

"So how's Hanabi like being the head of the Hyuga clan?" Naruto asked.

"She likes it but won't be the head for much longer," Hinata smiled. "Konohamaru's winning her over. Neji's next in line."

"I see," Naruto nodded smiling. "Good for them. You heard anything from Konan and Nagato?"

"Actually you got a letter from them, just a short one," Hinata stated. "They wanted to thank you for helping them repair the damage caused by the flooding that you caused."

"Well someone had to pick the tower up for them," Naruto stated. "And how was I supposed to know my jutsu would make the entire world flood? I had never used it before."

Hinata snorted and rolled her eyes. Temujin and Shizuka passed them in the street and Hinata waved. Shizuka did the same then went back to admiring her enlarged belly. A moment later, Lee and Ryuzetsu passed and Lee simply nodded, Ryuzetsu long having broken him of his obsession with yelling. That, and he didn't feel like waking up their sleeping child. Again.

"You know," Naruto smiled as they finally reached the top of the Hokage Monument. "Even after all this time, I still feel like I'm forgetting something."

"Really?" Hinata asked. "Maybe it's a date."

"No no," Naruto said shaking his head. "I know it's almost the anniversary of the day the Forbidden died."

"I see," Hinata nodded. "Anything else?"

"Nothing major," Naruto shrugged before grinning and holding up a necklace box.

She took it, opening it and finding a gold necklace and pendant with the Hyuga Clan symbol on one side and the Uzumaki Clan symbol on the other. She smiled and put it on then kissed him. Then, she opened the picnic and handed him his bowl of ramen and set out a plate of cinnamon buns before retrieving her own bowl.
