"So this will be where you will be sleeping. And I will be just down the hall, so if you have any scary nightmares you can come running to the hero!" Alfred gave Matthew a large grin and continued to the last room down the hall, leaving the poor blonde by himself.

With a quiet sigh Matthew walked in his temporary bedroom and sat down on the bed. He sunk slowly into the bed, Goosebumps formed on his arms from the cold temperature of the room.

Silent tears rolled down his cold cheeks and fell onto the white bed sheets. Matthew wished that the albino he had fallen for was here so he could be held in the man's embrace.

Lying down on the small bed, Matthew tried to clear his thoughts of the cheery man.

When he was finally drifting off to sleep, his eyes hesitantly fluttered open from the sound of something continuously hitting his bedroom window.

Slowly getting out of the warm cacoon he had created the blonde walked over to the window. Pushing the window open Matthew took a few steps back when a pebble hit him straight in the forehead.

"O-Ow!"

"Birdie!" A hushed whisper came from outside.

Matthew's eyes widened when he heard the familiar voice and nickname.
"G-G-Gil…?" Matthew adjusted his glasses and peered out the window.

It was quite dark outside but Matthew recognised the white hair that belonged to his beloved albino.

Closing the window Matthew flung open his bedroom door and sprinted down the stairs. Managing to open the back door with shaky hands he ran out into the cold night air. Spotting the albino, Matthew quickly walked over to the man,=.

"Gil…?"

The Prussian whipped his head around to face the source of the voice, crimson eyes met violet ones.

Matthew felt tears welling up in his eyes and his vision got blurry. Looking down at the ground Matthew wiped his hands over his eyes and tried to keep the sobs under control. Unfortunately a wail escaped past his lips and he heard quick footsteps approach him. His eyes widened when he was pulled into a warm embrace.

"Shhh, birdie. It's alright. I'm here now."

"G-G-Gil… I-I thought…"
"I know. I am so sorry. Please forgive me. I can't bear to see you cry."

After a few minutes Matthew's sobs slowly eased and was replaced by quiet hiccups.

Pulling Matthew out of the hug, Prussia looked the blonde in the eyes, offering his a soft smile.

"Are you alright?" Prussia flinched when he saw the intense glare in Matthew's eyes. "Birdie…?"

Without warning several fierce punches flew into Prussia's stomach and chest from the distraught blonde.

"B-B-Birdie! Ow!"

"I-I hate you! I hate you!" The punches slowly got weaker and soon they stopped altogether when another strangled wail caught in Matthew's throat.

Matthew covered his face with his hands to hide his red eyes and nose. Prussia pulled him into another hug, letting the younger boy cry into his chest.

Soon Matthew's sobs stopped altogether when he fell limp in the Prussian's arms.

"Birdie!"

Carrying the blonde bridal style, Prussia took him to the temporary bedroom. Lying the boy on the cold bed a small smile crossed the albino's face.

"You must be exhausted! You should really take better care of yourself… Since I won't be able to…" A single salty tear rolled down the albino's face and landed on Matthew's cheek.

Letting out a forced chuckle that sounded more like a sob, Gilbert wiped the tear off the soft skin.

"I'm really sorry, birdie. Please forgive me…" A chaste kiss was pressed to Matthew's forehead.

"Goodnight… I… I love you."

A/N

Here is the next chapter! If I can I will update again tomorrow!

Also, I am thinking about a story to write once I finish this one. I have already written the prologue of it and I will upload it soon just as a preview.

It will be called Silent Melody, Darkest Night. It will be a Spamano one.

And I am really sorry that this chapter is so short! I didn't it in the middle night so it was rushed.

Until next time!

Hasta la pasta!
