The FINAL Final Extra Chapter

After the whole tear-jerking and mourning in the Nintendo megaverse, everyone has gone back to their usual activities. Smash world is no different. Since then, there have been new updates like new battle arenas, Mii costumes and some fixes. Other than that, the excitement is beginning to rebuild once again after the whole disappointment that has been going on for months since the grand event back then. It's slow and the disbelief is still strong when it comes to Nintendo megaverse as a whole, but the excitement is definitely rebuilding.

One day...

"Attention, fighters! The Great Creator has a new announcement!" Dedede shouted through the PA system.

"I hope it's a big one. As in, something other than battle arenas and costumes..." Shulk said.

All of the regular fighters gather again in the aptly-named Gathering Point. From their less-motivated expression, they appear to anticipate a minor update. However, Master Hand is seen hovering in the middle of the chamber, meaning that there's something serious. Dedede is also present there, being The Great Creator's assistant.

"Whoa. Lookie here, The Great Creator is present!" Falco said.

Master Hand begins speaking.

Greetings, fighters. First of all, I'm so sorry that our situation is still yet to be recovered. I know that you're still feeling devastated, especially you, Villager.

Master Hand points to the short fighter, who is slightly seething in anger, something that is uncommon to happen to him considering that he usually walks around with a smile.

Villager's problems have nothing to do with me for obvious reasons, but I still feel as if I'm still involved. But no matter, let me get to the point.

A short silence. Then, Master Hand begins announcing something.

I've promised for more new updates to make this tournament potentially lasting longer than the previous ones. And so, it should be obvious that I have to keep announcing new information to you. Now, for a nice change from all those non-fighter news, let's have a newcomer news, shall we?

Everyone present in the chamber immediately perks up, as if they sprang up from drowsiness. It's true that The Great Creator has promised a few more new fighters, especially from the ballot, but since the closing of the aforementioned ballot without any other words about it made the fighters and fanbase fear that it would end up abandoned.

Haha. You all have such a funny reaction. Now, let the movie roll!

Master Hand then floats upwards, leaving the fighters by going through the chamber's ceiling opening. Now, in the middle of The Gathering Point, a holographic screen appears. It then plays a short clip. The new fighter is revealed to be...

...

...

...Cloud, from the Final Fantasy universe, a universe that not many fighters know. Everyone from Mario's universe except for Rosalina and the Koopalings happens to be familiar with the universe, but has never seen Cloud.

The clip continues on to showcase Cloud's fighting capabilities and the battle arena associated with his universe. His Final Smash is called Omnislash, which is performed on Ike in that clip. It depicts him dashing towards Ike and slicing the latter in mid-air then crashing that opponent down in a huge explosion not unlike some other Final Smashes with this kind of trait like Ike's Great Aether. The battle arena takes place at some sort of a floating platform above a big city. While on its own it looks like a standard Battlefield, chaos ensues when summons are involved. Odin cuts the platform in half, Leviathan causes a flood, Ramuh strikes with lightning, Ifrit strikes with fire and Bahamut attacks with a devastating flare. There's also a new Mii costume, which is based on the bird creatures from the Final Fantasy universe called the chocobos.

Everyone but Dedede is surprised at this reveal, as it's yet another third-party fighter like Ryu and the fact being that pretty much no fighter expected him to show up. It also helps that there are no leaks of any kind involving him, in the recent times leading to that announcement, at least.

"...And that's that." Dedede said.

"Wow, wow. Color me surprised. I don't know much about that guy, but he looks like an interesting opponent to me!" Sonic said.

"So do I. Time for a worthy opponent." Ryu said.

"Me too! I really feel that his inclusion should be able to make up for the whole disappointment that we're suffering!" Shulk said.

"Agreed." Samus said.

"I really do want to fight against that Cloud guy, but... Dedede, do you have any idea when he will show up? The Great Creator just sent Master Hand upwards and left us like that." Ike said.

"Good question, Ike. But there's no clear date of when Cloud will show up, unfortunately. Yes, even though I asked the same question before this, The Great Creator simply refused to answer."

"I see. That's too bad. But I've been itching to strike Cloud with my Great Aether anyway... after what he did in his introduction..."

"Not to worry, Ike. I'm sure he'll show up sooner. Also, one more news, everyone. There will be... um, how do I say this, a broadcast or something. Well... let's just say that it's another announcement. It will occur next month. No clear date, but it'll definitely happen next month. Let's get our excitement up, everyone! Let's return back to our glory days!"

"YEAH!" everyone shouted.

Dedede's Note: Hello! Dedede here! I decided to take over this part of so-called "Author's Note" to tell you all that I don't think the author can tell more tales from the Smash Castle. But I believe Extra Chapters shouldn't go too far, don't you think? From now on, let's all expect more great stuff from The Great Creator, alright? Maybe... just maybe... if we all can have a gourmet race or a go-kart race together like what Mario and his pals did... I might probably try to persuade the author to write another story of our lives! See ya!

Extra Note: Hi. It's Dedede again. Apparently that broadcast was the very last announcement. The Fourth Grand Tournament was started in, like, over a year ago? Boy, that was exciting! The only things left for us fighters to do is to have yet another long tournament, including tournaments organized by all of you lovely fans. On another note, aside from that Cloud guy (I actually wanted to chuckle at that name, but I feared that The Great Creator would kick my butt, haha!) announced around a month ago, we've just gotten two newcomers! Sweet! And that woman named Bayonetta is apparently the most requested fighter in the ballot! Wowie! She looks, well, attractive, hehe... (by the way, the Miis are beginning to get stirred up once again in their own chamber... time for me to grab some snacks or something) Well, see ya in the next grand tournament! (if such thing actually happens)
