OPIE's POV
I was sharing a smoke with Jax and waiting for Ana to get ready when Chibs and Tammy emerged from the clubhouse. He was a few feet ahead of her and she was doing her best to look hot. Jax shook his head and flicked his cigarette away.
"She's gonna whine all day about her legs being chaffed." Jax said quietly before Chibs reached us. I smirked as I finished my own cigarette. Tammy was wearing denim shorts that barely covered her ass. I appreciated a good-looking woman as much as the next guy, but at least be practical about it.
As if on cue, Ana walked out to the parking lot and drew all attention to her. I had half the mind the shove her back in the room and strip her out of those damn clothes. She was wearing skin tight black jeans that rode dangerously low on her hips. It was the first time she'd worn something low enough to show off her skull tattoo.
If the pants and knee high leather riding boots weren't enough, the fact that her chest was covered by what I considered a bra had me longing to run my hands over her exposed stomach. The leather jacket barely distracted me from her skin.
"Jealously isn't pretty, darlin." Jax smirked over at Tammy who was scowling at Ana as she walked up to us. I chewed on my tongue as Ana smiled and positioned herself under my arm.
"You ready?" She asked as she looked up at me. I raised my brow and couldn't help but laugh.
"We were all waiting on you, babe. Happy gave up and went to get breakfast for everybody. He's meeting us there." I leaned down and kissed her lips quickly, knowing anything further would end with us back in the dorm. She nodded and followed me over to my Dyna. I noticed her glare at Tammy for a minute.
"Ignore her, Ana." I passed her helmet back to her as she sat down behind me. I felt her lips on my neck and grinned as I started my bike. I wouldn't be going to rallies without her anymore.
"Bout time slow ass." Happy tossed Ana a breakfast burrito before passing me a coffee and a biscuit. She stuck her tongue out at him through her smile before taking a seat and unwrapping her burrito. Clay had insisted on sponsoring a booth this year, so we at least had somewhere to hang out when we weren't walking around.
"Opie, mind helping me with a couple coolers from the truck?" Trevor, the Las Vegas VP asked as he walked up with a couple huge boxes. I finished off my biscuit and passed my coffee to Ana before following him out to the truck.
"That blonde riding with you, she a sweetbutt?" Trevor asked as he passed a cooler to me. I shook my head. I knew that was his way of asking if he could have a turn with her. It wasn't uncommon for us to bring sweet butts and croweaters down to give our brothers variety.
"Nah, she's with me." I said simply as he gave me another cooler. He was obviously a little let down, but there was no way I'd even think about sharing Ana, brother or not. When we got back to the tent, Ana was talking to my dad with a big smile on her face.
I set the coolers down by the boxes Tammy was unloading with some local croweaters before going to stand by Jax. Ana was obviously having a good time talking to Piney, so I didn't want to interrupt them. Happy clapped a hand on my back as I stopped beside him.
"Tara's on my ass about why I never bring her to this. Appreciate that, Ope." Jax smiled as he shook his head at me. I shrugged and laughed.
"Tell her she's too damn pregnant to ride on a bike." I said, glancing over towards Ana. The mention of Tara had me wondering what Ana would look like pregnant. I shook the thought out of my mind quickly. We just barely got back together and I sure as hell wasn't going to push that shit on her.
"You want to help or just eat and stand around?" Tammy was looking over at Ana with a sour face and a hand on her hip as she spoke. I took a deep breath and raised a brow as Ana stood up slowly. She smiled sarcastically and hitched a shoulder.
"Doll, you may want to learn your place before speaking to me like that. You aren't even a croweater." Ana's voice was calm but her anger was obvious in her eyes. Chibs flicked his cigarette away and got up from his seat on his Dyna.
"Tammy, lass, why don't ya go find me some Tylenol?" Chibs smile didn't meet his eyes as he spoke, but I appreciated him sending her away. Tammy smiled over at Ana before planting a sloppy kiss on Chibs and walking away. Ana rolled her eyes and laughed, completely unaffected by the kiss.
"Babe, you want to walk around?" I asked, wrapping my arm around her waist as she walked up to me. She smiled and nodded.
"Come on grumpy and blondie." She teased Happy and Jax into walking around to check out some vendors and show bikes. She and Jax were arguing over a side car for the baby and Abel playfully as Happy and I looked at some pipes.
"You gonna ink her?" Happy asked as he inspected a sick Paul Yaffe SuperTrapp exhaust set up on a new Dyna. I smirked.
"You've already beat me to it, twice now." Happy scowled over at me and shook his head. I shrugged and sat the cover I was looking at back down on the table.
"Don't want to push her. She's still dealing with some shit." I explained just in time for her to miss it. She wrapped her arms around my neck and jumped up so she was riding my back. I laughed and turned to look at her.
"Hi." She smirked and kissed me quickly on the cheek. I carried her on my back for a few minutes before she hopped down and moved to my side. She had her jacket draped over her shoulder, so she was pretty much walking around in a bra and jeans. I kept her close to my side, wishing she had some type of reaper gear or crow on her.
After walking all around the rally, watching some drag races, and grabbing some food, we headed back to the tent to relax and wait for the party. Ana sat in the chair next to me and draped her legs over my lap.
"Hap, if I set you up on a blind date, would you go?" Ana asked after passing my cigarette back to me. Happy's face twisted into disgust as he shook his head. Ana rolled her eyes and smacked my chest when I laughed.
"No use trying, babe." I caught a guy in a plaid shirt standing by our tent with a smile. I met Happy's eyes and nodded over towards the stranger. He was first to his feet followed closely by Jax and I. The guy's smile faltered a little.
"Can I help you?" Jax asked while he straightened his kutte. The guy looked uncomfortable but nodded.
"Just enjoying the scenery. You got more girls like that around the club?" He couldn't have been much older than eighteen, which may have explained his stupidity. I narrowed my eyes and stepped up to him.
"You got a club?" I asked, looking down on him. I easily towered over him by five or six inches. He shook his head and took a step back.
"Good, no blowback for kicking your ass." Happy supplied with a dark grin. The kid swallowed hard and ran his hand over his other arm.
"Think I could join up?" His voice was a little shaky and he'd taken another step back from Happy. Clay's laugh boomed from the other side of the tent. He walked over and looked the kid over.
"We aren't the boyscouts, kid. You don't just put your name on a roster and throw on a kutte. You want to prospect, talk to Trevor. He's the Las Vegas charter's president." Clay pointed over at Trevor, who was covered by two crow eaters. The kid nodded his head slowly.
"Do I have to have a bike? I mean, I gotta pretty awesome Mustang." He smiled proudly as all eyes turned to him, dumbfounded. Ana tried to muffle her laughter with her hand.
"This is a bike rally, kid. You want to look at girls and drive your mustang, go to a stripper joint." Jax said shaking his head. Happy pointed past the kid.
"Leave." He growled. The kid didn't hesitate much longer before hurrying off and disappearing into the crowd. I shook my head and joined in as Clay, Tig and Jax burst into laughter.
ANA'S POV
I grabbed a couple of beers and headed back through the crowd to where I'd left the guys by the bonfire. The music was blaring and mixing with revving engines throughout the desert. It seemed as though the crowd had only grown larger once the sun went down.
Chibs and Tammy had joined the group since I'd left, much to my annoyance. She seemed less attached to him than earlier, but that didn't stop her from glaring at me every few minutes. I handed Opie a beer and did my best to ignore the girl's rude behavior.
"Ope, will you please dance with me?" I asked with a big smile. Opie smirked and shook his head. I stuck out my bottom lip and he laughed.
"That didn't work when we were younger either. I don't dance, babe." He kissed me softly on the lips and smacked my ass. I rolled my eyes and finished my beer quickly. Despite his lack of cooperation, I was feeling good. It may have been the beers and whiskey, but it was good all the same.
I was talking to Tig and Happy about some strip joint they liked as Opie and Juice threw in their comments. I laughed and shook my head when Opie mentioned something about horsemeat. That's when I noticed Chibs with some redhead and Tammy trying to push up on Jax. I stopped laughing immediately.
"Here." I said, shoving my half full beer into Happy's hands and turning towards Jax. He was talking to Trevor and some other Vegas brothers, ignoring the dumb bitch latched to his arm. I reached them in a few long strides and wrapped my hand around her upper arm tightly. She turned and looked at me as I yanked her off of Jax.
"That's my pregnant sister's old man." I growled, inches away from her face. She smirked and shrugged.
"I don't see her around. This is a party, hon. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas." She said with a laugh. I smiled sarcastically and nodded.
"You touch him again and I'll break your hand." My voice was sweet and I fluttered my eyes innocently. She narrowed her eyes and stepped up to me.
"Last time I checked, you don't have a crow on you. That means you aren't shit. I guess you're just all used up. No wonder they keep passing you around." Tammy laughed as my eyes shot up in shock. I was baffled that she was dumb enough to talk to me like that.
"Used up?" I asked with a laugh as I shrugged my jacket off. I tossed it over to Tig, who was excited by the building tension. Plenty of sons and other rally attendees were looking on by this point. I started wishing I had worn a shirt, but it wasn't going to keep me from kicking her ass.
"First you let some guy rape your dumbass and then you go from Chibs to Opie? Who's next? Want to keep it in the family and hop on Jax yourself?" She hissed with a sneer. Her words froze me. She'd mentioned the shit from back in high school. There was only a handful of people that knew about that before now. I glanced over at Chibs, who had paled dramatically. I shook my head and turned to leave with Opie, no longer in the mood to fight.
"Not so tough are you, whore?" Tammy's voice struck a nerve. I took a deep breath and turned back to her. She was still smiling as I walked back up to her.
"You stupid bitch." I growled so only she could hear me. She didn't have time to move before my hand was around her throat and gripping tightly. Her eyes widened as she tried to wiggle out of my hold. I pounded my free fist into her stomach, causing her to cough and struggle even further to breathe.
She kicked out and connected her shin with my leg. It was still sore from the long ride, so it was just enough pain for me to loosen my grip on her. I felt her grab a handful of my hair before her other hand smacked me across the face. I narrowed my eyes and brought my knee up sharply, landing a hard hit to her side.
She stumbled sideways and I took advantage of her loss of balance. I lunged at her and knocked her onto her back. She was about to reach out to hit me when she must have felt the cold metal of my k-bar on her throat. I'd pulled it out of my boot as she was catching her breath. The crowd quieted as I held the blade against her skin.
The edge was sharp, so it was already drawing a thin line of blood. Tears started falling from her eyes as she realized how much danger she was in. I leaned in close to her ear and smiled.
"The next time I see you anywhere near my family or any of the Sons, I'll kill you." I whispered softly into her ear before pulling my blade away and wiping it clean on the shoulder of her shirt. She didn't move as I rose to my feet and put the k-bar back in its holster between the leather of my boot and my leg.
My eyes met Chibs' and I shook my head with a dark laugh. Any love I'd held in my heart for him was gone. He'd not only broken my heart, but he betrayed me by running his damn mouth. I turned to Opie, who was glaring at Chibs and placed a hand on his arm.
"Let's go, Opie." My voice broke through to him. He looked down into my eyes and nodded as Tig passed my jacket back to me. I felt everyone's eyes on me. I couldn't tell if it was from the fight or the words beforehand, but I wanted to leave all the same.
Announcement: I've decided how this story will end. That being said, we've still got a couple more chapters to go before that happens. I'm considering a sequel, but we'll have to see how the response going forward is and if I can create enough material to continue on. :) Happy reading!
