"Big news everyone! Big news!" Benson said excitedly, Everyone just stared at him. "The park is having a talent show and we're all able to audition!"
"Why should we care?" Muscle Man asked, "Because I already signed each of us up and if you don't do it, you're fired." Benson said smiling,
"Aww What?" Mordecai and Rigby said in unison, "Come on Benson, You can't make us do this!" Mordecai yelled, "You have no choice, that is unless you want to be fired."
Mordecai went silent. "Yeah, that's what I thought." Benson said,
"Wait, what's in it for us?" Ryan asked,
"Winner gets $2,000.00." Benson said, Everyone's eyes widened. "Well, that's about it. Better get your chores done and practice…The show's in two days." Benson walked away.
"Ugh! dude this sucks!" Rigby yelled, "I know dude." Mordecai said, "But $2,000.00, Just think of the video game consoles we can buy with that money!
"Well, at least we can pair up." Muscle Man said, "You and me Fives, all the way!" the two high fived to that.
"Wanna perform with me, Thomas?" Piper asked turning to the goat,
"I don't know Piper, I'm actually not that good at singing." he said nervously,
"Oh come on Thomas!" Piper said, "I know you can!" "Try singing right now."
Thomas sighed,
"When I look back on these times, and the dreams we left behind. I'll be glad 'cause I was blessed to get to have you in my life." he sang, His voice was perfect.
"When I look back on these days, I-I-I-I look and see your face. You were right there for me." Piper sang,
They sang in harmony,
"In my dreams I'll always see you soar above the sky."
"In my heart there'll always be a place for you for all my life."
"I'll keep a part of you with me-e-e." Piper sang alone, "And everywhere I am, there you'll be."
"And everywhere I am, There you'll be…" they sang together,
The others applauded behind them. "Alright! that was awesome!" Mordecai clapped, "Yeah, you two should totally enter together." Rigby said,
"So...Will you do it?" Piper asked, Thomas sighed. "Yeah, alright." he laughed a little, Piper smiled and hugged him. Thomas looked at the guys and Mordecai and Rigby both gave him a thumbs up.
Later on, Mordecai and Rigby were in their room with Ryan trying to think of a rap to do for the talent show. Mordecai was sitting on his bed with a notepad and pencil with Ryan sitting next to him while Rigby was laying on his trampoline with dirty clothes over him, eating CHEEZ-ITZ.
"Okay okay, how about this one?" Mordecai asked,
"This a show where people show their talents,
Seeing all this talent it makes me feel ecstatic.
Being in the limelight is the best light.
Boom! In the lime light!"
"Dude, no..just..no." Rigby frowned, he shoveled some more CHEEZ-ITZ into his mouth.
"Dude, I got it!" Mordecai said snapping his fingers,
"Cheese crackers, Cheese crackers, I wanna snackerz on Cheese crackers!"
Rigby looked at him sadly and Ryan just stared, "What? too cheesy?" Mordecai asked,
Meanwhile, Muscle Man and High Five Ghost were practicing a cannon trick.
"Alright, is the cannon ready?" Muscle Man asked, He was inside the cannon wearing a red, white and blue jumpsuit and cape along with a helmet.
"Yeah." High Five Ghost replied, "Okay, prepare to launch in three...two...one." Muscle Man said,
"What are you guys doing?" Piper asked as she Thomas were walking up,
"Duh! This is our act for the talent show!" Muscle Man said, "Okay Fives, Light it."
High Five Ghost gave a single nod and lit the fuse with a lighter. The cannon exploded and Muscle Man went flying. They watched in amazement as the fat green man flew through the air and finally landed on the safety net miles away.
He came walking back, "Whoo! Whoo!" he screamed, "That was epic! Huh!" he gave High Five Ghost a high five. That $2,000.00 is as good as ours." he grinned evilly,
"I beg your pardon?" Piper said,
"Well, it's obvious that we're going to win." Muscle Man said, "But because you're cool...I'll might even throw you some pity cash."
"Sorry to spoil the ending, But me and Thomas are going to win that $2,000.00." Piper said,
"Pfft! Piper you have one of the lamest people in this park as your partner!" Muscle Man said with his arms folded,
Piper looked at him in anger and shock. "What did you just say?"
"He's pathetic! he's a loser! an utter embarrassment!" Muscle Man yelled,
Piper began to seethe with anger, "I mean seriously, of all the chumps in this park, you had to choose him!" Muscle Man said,
Piper was really mad now. She ran over to Muscle Man and punched him straight in the face. The little goblin-like man fell to the ground and he covered his nose with his hand. He looked up at Piper angrily looking at him.
"No one insults Thomas in front of me and gets away with it." Piper said, "Whoa Piper, calm down." Thomas said taking her hand,
"Did you not just hear the stuff he just said?" Piper said,
"Yeah, I heard it, but it doesn't affect me or make me feel hurt." Thomas explained to her,
Piper turned and reached down to help up Muscle Man and he took her hand and she pulled him up. He dusted himself off.
"Sorry Muscle Man." Piper said, "Eh, it's all good." Muscle Man shrugged, "At least your punch didn't do any damage to my face."
"Come on Thomas, we'd better go continue to rehearse." Piper said walking away.
"What a woman." Muscle Man said, "Yeah, she's pretty amazing isn't she?" Thomas said looking absolutely lovestruck,
"I can't believe that when you two first met she hated you." Muscle Man said,
"Yeah, She wasn't a close person to me at the time. I didn't really like her at first to be honest." Thomas explained,
"When did she say that she got feelings for you again?" Muscle Man asked,
"When I saved her from those weird hugging creatures and when I saved her from falling." Thomas answered,
"Hm." Muscle Man said finally understanding,
"Hey Borscht mouth, You coming or what?" Piper called,
"Yeah, coming." Thomas called back, "I guess I'll see you around Muscle Man."
"Later bro." Muscle Man waved,
It was the night of the talent show, Everyone in town showed up and the gang was doing last minute rehearsals.
Piper was wearing a short golden, sparkly dress with no sleeves with strappy silver heels that sparkled and her hair was done in curls thanks to Zoey.
Nearby, Mordecai, Rigby, and Ryan were reciting their rap one last time.
Muscle Man and High Five Ghost were checking the cannon to make sure it had a new fuse for them to light. Pops was playing the harpsichord and everyone else was just doing their own thing. Benson walked in wearing a white sweatband.
"I just wanna say, that I hope you all 'break a leg' tonight." he laughed, then he walked away.
Then, Alexandra came in and walked over to Thomas and Piper and said, "Break a leg tonight! I just know you both will do great!" Thomas looked away ignoring her, she put her hand on her son's shoulder. "I just know you'll do good, son." then she just walked away sadly to go find her seat.
"What was that all about?" Piper asked, "Piper, that woman abandoned me! how can I forgive her for that?" Thomas asked, "Maybe you should at least try to forgive her...Please...for me." Piper looked at him sadly, then the announcer for the talent show went out on stage and spoke into his microphone.
"Good evening everyone and I'm pleased to be announcing and partially hosting this extraordinary event this evening." "You will see some of the finest talent that Two Peaks has to offer. But in the end, the winner who will be decided by our three judges, will be taking home $2,000.00!" The audience cheered.
"First up we have...Benson performing his rock opera, 'Bensonphonia.'" the audience clapped.
Benson then came out onstage and sat down at his drum kit. Benson gazed out at the audience and began to play. The rock opera was epic! there were so many drums beating and so many cymbals crashing as he played, it all was in perfect harmony and it even sounded like more than one person was playing!
When Benson finished the song, The audience clapped and cheered. He got off stage and walked backstage and wiped the sweat from his forehead.
"Benson, that was amazing!" Piper said, "Heh, Yeah I was pretty good wasn't I ?" Benson bragged,
"Alright, the judges liked what they heard." The announcer said, "eights from all three judges!" "Alright people, we've got a long night filled with entertainment ahead of us. Next we have Pops, playing the harpsichord!" The audience applauded as Pops walked out onstage.
The rest of the evening went on as anyone could really expect. everyone did their acts pretty well. People cheered at Pops' harpsichord playing, People adored Skips' magical spells and enchantments, Finally, Mordecai, Rigby, and Ryan got up onstage and performed their rap.
"Tonight's the night we show off our skills…" Mordecai rapped,
"Being here tonight, It gives me the chills!" Rigby rapped,
"Here we are together, rapping together." Ryan rapped,
"Here we are together, rapping better, better, better, better than ever!" The three finished together, "OOOOOOHHHHH!" They cheered,
The audience applauded and the judges gave them three nines, and with that, the three high fived.
"Okay, next we have...Thomas and Piper singing a duet of the song, 'Lonely Tonight feat. Ashley Monroe' by Blake Shelton." The announcer said,
Thomas and Piper walked out onstage and got the mics on their headsets ready. Thomas looked at the band offstage and gave them a nod and then the band started playing the song. A.N: Play the song while reading this...it's complicated.
"I never thought you'd pick up the phone It's Friday night you should be out on the town. Didn't think you'd be sitting at home all alone like me." Thomas sang,
"Nothing on TV, nothing to do Nothing to keep my mind off you and me And the way it was Are you thinking it now because…"
"...I could be there in five? One more, one last time."
"We don't have to be lonely tonight."

"When the sun comes up, we can both move on, But we don't have to be lonely tonight." They sangtogether,
When the song ended, everyone(including Thomas' mother stood up in their seats cheering for the duo. Piper smiled and kissed Thomas and some people from the crowd awed.
"Judges?" the announcer asked, The judges held up their number signs. Two held up nines, while the other remaining one held up an eight.
The audience slightly booed. But the judge stood up and said, "Hey, I made my choice, get over it."
Finally, for the finale, Muscle Man and High Five Ghost performed their cannon trick. Muscle Man flew through the air and people were amazed as they saw him fly through the air. In the end, the audience gasped because Muscle Man missed the safety net by a few centimeters.
The judges held up their number cards in disappointment and they got two ones and and a two.
"Aw come on!" Muscle Man complained, "Why did we lose?"
"Because a cannon trick is old and unoriginal!" One of the judges said standing up.
"Ugh! forget this! come on Fives let's bail!" Muscle Man said, then the two walked offstage.
At the end of the night, it was time to announce the winner…the audience clapped.
"And the winner is...Mordecai, Rigby, and Ryan!" the announcer yelled, The audience clapped as Mordecai, Rigby, and Ryan walked out onstage and took the check for $2,000.00.
"Yeah yuh!" the three cheered,
"Thomas and Piper came in second place." The announcer said,
The two walked out onstage as the audience applauded loudly for them.
"And in third place…" the announcer said, "Benson!" Benson came out bowing and saying "Thank you, thank you."
"Congratulations guys." Piper smiled, "Thanks." Mordecai smiled back,
"So, what are you guys gonna spend the money on?" Thomas asked putting his arm around Piper's shoulder,
"Don't know yet." Mordecai said, "I think we'll save it for a special occasion."
"That's cool." Piper said, "Hey, how about we go out for a victory dinner? it's on me."
"Yeah yuh!" Rigby said, while the other four just laughed,
The group walked away, to go celebrate Mordecai, Rigby, and Ryan's victory.
