*As it is Mother's Day, I felt the need to add another chapter. :)
I hope you enjoy it.
I haven't done this in awhile, so here it goes.
Disclaimer and Warnings: I do not own any of the DBZ characters, but I do own the characters I have created for this fanfic. Please be advised that this story contains language, violence, and sexual situations for mature audiences only (if you haven't already noticed, lol.)
******* It has also came to my attention that there is a bit of confusion on the last chapter. I have realized that I may have described cannibalism in the last scene. I assure you, that is not what I meant to interpret. That is all I'm going to clear about those last few paragraphs from chapter 25, because...I just can't get into it, or it will ruin future chapters, and I didn't want you all to worry because I love all you guys! I do apologize. *******
Thank you once again for reviewing and letting me know what you all think and I hope to give you all more entertaining chapters!
Give Me Back My Mate
Chapter 26: Falling Star
Three days had passed since they were accepted into the village. The villagers seemed to be warming up to them, especially Gohan. He fit right in with the other children. Chichi prowled the training grounds, watching the clans warriors battling in sparring sessions. She asked to participate but was kicked off the grounds for even thinking of learning their ways of fighting. But she still watched. Besides returning home, Chichi wanted nothing more than to fight a long side them. The way they moved, it was incredible. The warriors were fast, agile, and tremendously strong. She would love to be trained under their command, just to understand how they fight as one.
"You there. Didn't I tell you before? No females!" The over-sized male yelled down to her, breaking her from the trance of fighting warriors. She looked up at him with a hateful glare. It was the same one that had kicked her off the field. Chichi just smirked. "What are you smiling about?" He growled while his lips peeled away from canines made for definite tearing of flesh. He had seen many fights in his time by the looks of his scarred face and torn ear.
"Nothing." Chichi tried to hide her amusement but the male clearly saw it.
"Well then get out of here! Go back to tending your young."
He began to walk away, but Chichi couldn't hold back any longer. Her arm raised, but in the blink of an eye, her wrist was caught by another.
"Boduke." An angered voice said from behind her.
When the rude warrior turned he stuttered, "H-Hikaru!"
Chichi twisted around to see if it was really him, and sure enough, Hikaru held her wrist. His angered voice matched his eyes perfectly.
"Apologize." Hikaru demanded. But Boduke only laughed at the request.
"No. Not to her."
Chichi's arm was released and a flash of long brown hair passed by. Hikaru was in Bodukes face, his long canines exposed, and a deep growl emitted from his throat. He was truly the next in line Alpha. The way he demanded respect and cooperation from his warrior was a little intimidating.
"I said, apologize. Or I will beat it out of you." He warned.
"Why are you acting as if she's your female, Hikaru?" Boduke asked with a snarl on his lips.
"The way I act is none of your concern. She is our guest. You will respect her, as you will of me."
"Hikaru, it's fine," Chichi tried to intervene.
"I will not have him disrespecting a female."
"Well I didn't ask you for your help, did I?" Chichi angrily bit out.
She watched as Hikaru shook with rage. He released the one known as Boduke and turned to face her. He inched his way closer and hovered over her. "You did not ask for my help at the waters, but you needed my help, did you not?"
A snickering laugh came from the male Boduke, but what ever hateful words that were on the tip of his tongue was immediately silenced from a simple glare by Hikaru.
"And I'm grateful. But I do not need someone fighting all my battles!" Her words made him take a step back. Maybe it was her Saiyan pride, but she couldn't help but to be angry at him for making her feel as a useless female.
Suddenly, someone screamed. They both turned their heads and looked at the direction of the shouting. "Look up in the sky! Another falling star!"
Chichi squinted to focus on the falling object in the sky. That was not a falling star. It was a ship. Could it be someone to find them? Her heart raced in her chest and the thought of returning home made her eyes sting with forming tears she would not let fall.
"It's a ship." Chichi let slip past her lips. Hikaru was looking at her in disbelief, but he nodded his head.
"That is the same way you arrived. It looked as falling stars."
Chichi couldn't hold back the chest full of air she had held on to. It had to be a Saiyan ship.
"Warriors!" Hikaru shouted, "We go in search of this falling star!"
"I'll come with you!" Chichi happily chirped but was pushed back with a large hand on her chest. Hikaru stopped her from taking another step.
"I will not risking your life if the Mongrels were to show up as well."
"Screw you, I'm going! That could be one of my kind out there!" Protested the Saiyan female.
"You will stay here!"
"I'm not one of your females to boss around, now let me go!"
"Do you not think of your son? What if you were killed? How could you leave him behind?" Hikaru's words struck a nerve. He was daring to say those words. Chichi always put her son before herself. He knew nothing of that sacrifice she faced countless of times for Gohan. "Return to him. Let us do our duty as warriors."
That was the last thing Hikaru said as he ran off towards the gates. Chichi couldn't think of anything else to say. It would take days to even begin on how much she cared for her son. All she could do now, was do what he said. She was being treated as a useless female again, and it was not sitting well with her.
When Chichi return to the hut they were staying in, she was greeted with a warm smile of an elderly villager. She held up a bundle of leaves and placed them into Chichi's hands. "Make the blue-haired one drink this with warm water. It will help with the sickness." And she turned away and left without another word. Sickness? When had Bulma become sick? Chichi quickened her pace and entered the hut to find Bulma sitting in the corner with a very pale face. Oh God, Bulma was sick.
"Bulma? What's wrong?" Chichi knelt beside the Saiyan Queen and felt her forehead. No fever, but she looked miserable.
"I don't know. I've been dizzy the last couple days. Then I got sick." Bulma explained and slid over to her side, yelping when she landed on her hidden tail.
Chichi gasped and covered her mouth. Flash backs of seeing her own self in this condition once before caused her heart to race.
"When did you last have your cycle?" Chichi calmly asked. Bulma immediately shot up to her feet. She began to pace. And pace. And pace. "Bulma?"
"Oh God, I don't know Chichi. I've been so stressed out I can't remember!"
"I think, you might be-"
"Don't say it! Don't you dare say it. If I am...Oh! Vegeta. How, how would I be able to tell him? I don't," Bulma slumped down to the ground on her knees, her shoulders shaking as she covered her face, "I don't even know if he's alive." She cried into her hands. Chichi tried her best to comfort Bulma, but the Queen continued to quietly sob. There were no words to express the pain they both felt in their heart. To think their mates, the strongest males, to be dead? "I can't feel Vegeta in my heart any more. Since we came to this planet, I haven't been able to feel him."
"There was a ship." It was the only thing she could think of to say.
Bulma stopped her sobs and slowly turned to face her. The tears were still streaming down her cheeks, but there was a light of hope.
"Just a ship? One ship?"
Chichi nodded. "It fell from the sky and landed just as ours."
"It could be them. It could be our way out of here Chichi!" Bulma cried again, her happiness unable to confine.
Chichi could only hope it was true.
The wait was painful. The sun had already set and there were still no signs of the warriors return. If it were any Saiyan, they would have been here by now. Chichi couldn't stand it any longer. She lifted off the ground, freaking all the villagers as she flew up above the gates to get a look. She spotted fire. Torches in the distance.
"There! There they are!" She announced to the gaping faces below. Chichi landed back on solid ground and ran to the gates. The Alpha had already been waiting, looking out in to the night as if he could see everything clearly.
"Something is wrong." The Alpha spoke lowly for only Chichi to hear. She took a step back from him, giving him space to wait for his warriors.
When the light of torches drew near to the gates, Chichi could finally make out the dozen warriors returning, limping and sluggish.
"Oh no," Chichi gulped and waited just as the Alpha. They made it to the gates, reveling a unconscious Hikaru, and a female with black hair draped over her face.
"What happened?" The Alpha asked, his emotions hidden behind his authoritative status. Did he not see that his son was injured?
"We were attacked by the Mongrels while getting this female from a strange vessel. Hikaru drove them back, but he is severely hurt. There was another female, but those damned beast took off with her." One of the warriors reported as they carried in Hikaru and the unknown female.
"What of the female? Is she still alive ?"
"Yes. But when we pulled them out, they were already injured."
Chichi watched as they carried Hikaru to his resting quarters and then turned her attention on the female presented to her. The black locks of her hair fell from her face, sending a chill down Chichi's spine. She took a step back. That female...
"Sissta?"
"Oh. My. God," Bulma gasped as they watched a villager work on the Saiyan female known as, Sissta. She had many wounds, and some broken bones. How did she end up like this? "Chichi? She came to this planet like this?"
"That's what they said. They also reported another female with her that was just as bad, but the Mongrels took off with her." Chichi said through gritted teeth. Her fists clenched at her sides. Even though this female was her own enemy, she was still a part of her race. She needed to know what had happened, and why they had come. "Let me know when she wakes up."
"Chichi! Wait!" But Chichi didn't listen. She ran out of the hut and took off flying into the night. It was already starting to become day light when she reached her destination. The ground was caved in where the ship had landed, and it didn't land with ease. Chichi hovered over the wreckage and confirmed the ship. They definitely came from planet Vegeta.
Bulma sat in the far corner of the hut. Gohan was out playing with his new friends and she was stuck watching over this female she detested. Sissta and the other female, Kallena were the ones who abducted them from their home, that she can thank them for. But the way they treated her and Chichi? Unforgivable. She seemed to have more than a grudge than Chichi, even when Chichi had more reasons to hate them than Bulma.
"You better wake up soon. You have a lot you need to explain." Bulma mumbled over to a sleeping Saiyan.
The commotion began to get louder outside as Bulma listened. The villagers seemed to be panicked about something, causing Bulma to go outside and see what the fuss was about. Her face twitched up into pure shock. There was a Saiyan space craft floating above the village, and it was being carried by...
"Chichi?"
"Stand back, Bulma." Chichi called down from the sky as she began her descent. The villagers scattered, along with Bulma hugging her back up against the hut. Chichi placed it down right in front of her, being careful not to damage it any further.
"Chichi? Did you even ask the Alpha if it was ok to bring this here?" Bulma asked in a very nervous tone while tapping her finger tips together. They were being stared at, and it really wasn't helping the situation any.
"This is what they arrived in. Since our ships were broken, maybe you can take a look at this one?" Chichi suggested as she tiredly sat down on a patch of grass.
Bulma looked down at the female and smiled. She worked very hard to get this here. That meant her power was returning to her and Chichi was returning back to her old self.
"Technically, our ships aren't broken. The night you came for us, I found a panel with wires under the seats. I think I could rewire it, only if I had some tools."
"Inside." Chichi said as she laid on her back. She was really worn out.
Chichi could only lay motionless on the ground. Well, she did just carry a ship half-way around the world. Thank goodness the planet wasn't that large. She let out a sigh and let her muscles twitch. If felt good to be tired again, and in a good way. The ship its self was large as the biggest hut in the village. Add metal and engine, making it ten times heavier, then you ended up with a very heavy package to deliver. At least she perked Bulma up a bit. The Queen was ravenous when it came to mechanics, and Bulma just hit the mother-load.
"You carried that all the way here?" A rough and amazed voiced asked.
Chichi threw opened her eyes and looked up. Hikaru was standing above her, his long brown hair put into a braid. His gray eyes looked down at her with astonishment as he leaned on a cane. Bandages covered his arms and legs, but pain seemed to be the last thing on his mind.
"Yep." Chichi answered and tried to sit up, only to find her body frozen. Her muscles were too tired, resulting in temporary paralysis.
"Amazing."
Chichi smiled. To her it was just a small achievement, but to them, it was a Godly like act.
"Chichi!" Bulma exclaimed while racing from inside the ship. The female was carrying a large metal box that looked to be heavy, forcing Chichi to forget about the fatigue and leaping from the ground to grab the weighted object from the Queens hands. Bulma looked a little confused when Chichi made eye contact.
"You need to be careful," Chichi quietly warned her friend and sat the tool box on the ground, "Just...let me do the heavy lifting, ok?"
Bulma nodded and turned just as her eyes began to wield up with tears. Chichi picked the ridiculously heavy box up and asked Bulma where she wanted it placed. Once the box was set down, the Queen investigated the contents, ripping through countless of brand new tools, hand-held devices for repairs, and countless bolts and wires. A smile formed on Chichi's lips as she watched the blue-haired females eyes light up with hope. Hell, her heart was beginning to jump for joy at the slightest chance of going home. But first, they needed to understand why Sissta and another Saiyan female were there. Why had they come injured? Chichi could only imagine the planet being in turmoil, thus causing an Elite soldier to flee.
"Yes!" Bulma happily chirped as she dashed from place to place around the ship. "With these tools, I can easily get this baby up and running!"
"How long?" Chichi couldn't help but ask.
"I'm not sure. Maybe in a couple weeks?" The answer made Chichi's stomach do a flip. Would she really see Kakarot that soon? She missed her mate dearly. Her body burned just to feel his touch again, or even just hear the sound of his voice.
Chichi began to walk away, her mind deep in thought when a hand grabbed her shoulder. "Where are you going Chichi?"
The female stopped and looked over her shoulder, meeting a pair of gray eyes. Hikaru had a hold of her and his strong grip wasn't about to let her go until she answered. "I have to train. If my planet is still under attack, they will need my help." Hikaru seemed shocked at her words. With a slight jerk, Chichi brushed his large hand from her shoulder and sauntered off towards the gates. To her surprise, the Alpha's son still limped behind. "Why are you following me?"
"Who said I am following you? I'm just simply observing my village," He answered with a cool, calm smile. "But while you are here, may I ask you something?" Chichi continued walking, turning her head slightly to show she was listening. "How can one train alone? Wouldn't it be beneficial for the warrior to train with others?"
Chichi let out a laugh and picked up her pace, "I'll be fine on my own."
"I could help."
Her feet came to a sudden halt and flipped around, "What?" She wanted to make sure she heard him right. This male who had been against her going with them to investigate the falling ship, the same male who prioritizes in keeping the females of the village from fighting, had actually offered to help her train? Not just a simple 'lets see what you're made of' fight, but training?
"I said, I could help." He repeated with a serious stare.
"But, you are injured."
"I can take you on as you are, with these wounds." Hikaru never flinched. He spoke truthfully, but his words brought a smirk to Chichi's lips. The thought of fighting? The thrill never failed. Since he was acting too cocky, Chichi decided to test him. In a flash, she vanished from his sight. Just as Chichi had made contact with his walking cane to knock it from his hand, Hikaru jumped back and swung his uninjured leg out to block her.
His speed to block was nothing compared to training with Bardock or Kakarot. Until his fist rammed into her jaw, sending the female to her back. When the pain finally came easing in and throbbing, she winced and clutched her swelling face. It was one of the hardest punch she had ever received. How the hell did he get so much strength built up behind one hit? Her head was spinning while trying to figure out how he did it. Surely he wasn't that powerful?
"As I said, I can take you on as you are." He smiled over her as she groaned to get up. "Unless you can't take a hit?"
Chichi's anger flared. How dare he say that! Especially after everything she had been through. If this was the only way to get her strength back, then so be it. By the end, she would show him what a Saiyan warrior could do.
"I accept your help, Hikaru. And when it's all over, you will be on your knees and speechless."
She was uncertain, but Chichi swore she saw a blush lit his cheeks, "I am looking forward to it."
