A/N: Hey guys, I am so happy you guys like the new chapters. I hope you like this new chapter :) I'm so sorry that's its a been a while since the last update, but I have been super busy lately. So many people have told me that I should kill Jessica off, I'm not sure if I want to though, I actually had plans for her later in the story, what do you guys think?
"You'll have to get used to the morning sickness I get." Kate said with a laugh.
"I suppose so." Ryan smiled widely. Kate set the table as Mike and Ryan talked in the kitchen. When the table was set, Mike and Ryan placed the food on the dining room table. Soon the breakfast was gone, and they were heading to the car outside.
After a twenty minute drive, they were pulling up to the hospital again. We walked into the hospital again, and went to the receptionist desk again.
"We're here to see Jessica Bird." Mike said to the lady behind the glass.
"Just go to that door, and I'll buzz you through." She replied with a sad smile on her face. Mike nodded to her as a thank you before walking over to the door, and walking through it when it buzzed. We walked into the cubical and went and sat beside her almost lifeless looking body.
A few hours passed, and voices were heard outside. Soon the voices came into the same cubical as them. Ryan looked up, and was a little surprised to see his mother and two other people he had never seen before.
"Ryan, these are Jessica's parents, Jay and Des Bird." Maxine informed her son, smiling warmly towards him.
"It's very nice to meet you both." Ryan said with a small smile on his face, while shaking both of their hands.
"How do you know my daughter?" Jay asked.
"We met while at shore, and then I was transferred over to Hammersley." Ryan said, leaving out the fact that they were in a relationship.
"You don't have to hide the fact, that you two are involved romantically." Des laughed, causing all of them to laugh.
"We've only been in relationship for a few days." Ryan expressed, looking down sadly at his unconscious girlfriend. He knew that this relationship had on being going on for a few days but he truly believed that she was the one, his soul mate. It was definitely love at first sight for the both of them.
"We'll leave you two alone for a little bit. We'll go get some food, did you want anything Ryan?" Jay asked warmly, a soft smile on her face. Ryan looked up at her and smiled slightly but shook his head in response. Both parents nodded before leaving Ryan and Maxine alone for a little bit.
"You really love her, don't you?" Maxine asked softly, almost afraid if she spoke any louder that it would break her son. Ryan nodded and smiled sadly in the direction of Jessica, a tear escaping from his eyes. He moved his hand to his face and wiped it off.
"I really do, it's only been a few days, but mum.. I really think she's the one. I think she's my soul mate." Ryan expressed his true feelings for his mum. He knew that he didn't have to hide his feelings from her, she could read him like a book anyways, so it was no point in denying anything. Maxine nodded, and gave her son a tight hug before leaving the room quietly, leaving Ryan with Jessica for some private time together.
Ryan moved his hand to Jessica's and interlaced their hands, her hands feeling ice cold against his warm ones. He rubbed his thumb along the back of her hand, almost in comfort, letting her know that he was there and he wasn't going to go anywhere anytime soon.
A few hours had passed since they had arrived, and so far nothing changed in Jessica's condition. Her hand had gained some more warmth into it, if that was any reassurance to them that she actually will be okay. A light squeeze was felt on Ryan's hand, and when he looked up to Jessica's face. Her eyes were fluttering opened. A beautiful colour of brown was filling the space where her eyelids once lay closed. She looked over at Ryan, and smiled weakly towards him. He made his way to get up and get the doctor, but she pleaded him with her eyes to stay, which he agreed too. Her mouth opened and formed three words. Words that almost seemed like she was saying goodbye.
"I love you."
And with those words whispered into the room. The machine flat lined.
A/N: I hoped you guys liked this chapter, I feel like it was a bit of a rush job, and honestly probably not my best chapter, but I hope you guys still liked it anyway. I'll try and update soon. Please keep reviewing, I really appreciate every review I get. Thanks guys.
