~Chapter 26~

We laid there in silence now as the sun was slowly coming up.

"How are you feeling?" I asked. His eyes were looking out the window and I looked at the warm view and Johnny inhaled softly.

"Good." he replied and we were silent once more. Everything was perfect right now. Nothing could ruin this moment that was between us right now. Our breathing was slow and calm and his arm just remained around my shoulder and my body remained on his chest. I remembered Dom saying something about driving the cars later on and I knew I had to go. I sighed softly and pulled back gently from his hold. He looked down at me now with confusion as to why I was moving from him.

"I have to go." I replied softly sitting up on my arm and he tilted his head gazing up at me.

"I don't want you to go and you can't walk home." he replied and I smiled and leaned down and kissed his forehead.

"I must and I will be fine. I will see you later." I replied and he wrapped his fingers around my neck gently and pulled me down so his lips could kiss mine and I smiled against them and replied to them. "Will you be alright by yourself?"

He gave a mild scoff.

"Yeah I'll be fine. I'll just lay here for a while." he told and I nodded moving from the bed.

"Will Lance be around?" I asked and he nodded.

"He always is." he replied looking up at the ceiling. I began to put on my clothes. I knew I would have to head home and get dressed. I also had to tell my mom how everything went since I did not come home. Once I was dressed I looked at Johnny to see he was looking at me and I smiled.

"What?" I asked and his deep thinking eyes did not change.

"I love you." he said lowly and he sounded so serious as he said this. My heart leaped a bit at his words and I felt nervous as he spoke these words. I gave a soft smile.

"I love you too." I replied and he smiled.

"Go on. I'll see you later on." he said and I nodded and made sure I had everything on me before leaving his garage. I hurried home and it only took an hour and thirty minutes. All was quiet in the house so I hurried and took a shower and got cleaned up. Luckily I had no missed calls or messages so I felt in the clear. I re did my hair and got dressed in blue jeans and a black tank. Once I stepped out of my room, keys and phone in hand, I was met with my mother's face.

"Tell me everything." she said and I jumped a bit at her presence.

"Oh mom you scared me. And we danced, ate, and went back to his house where we fell asleep and that's it." I replied and she squealed.

"Oh good. Your father was really hoping everything went well last night. He thinks this would make his partnership with the Tran's stronger." she replied and I nodded not really listening to her.

"Oh great." I replied and she nodded and looked at my keys.

"Going back to Johnny's?" she assumed with a smirk and I groaned in my head. I was not in the mood to really talk about last night.

"No. I am going to go into town and eat breakfast with some friends. I will be back in a few hours." I replied and she nodded.

"Around three I am going to the mall. You will meet me there so we can shop." she replied and I nodded making a note of her words.

"Alright mom. I will be there." I said kissing her cheek and leaving out the house. Once I was in my car I just sat there and leaned against the seat and sighed heavily. Thank god I was alive. I started my car and reversed and drove to Dom's house. I pulled up slowly and Leon and Vince were on the front porch. The garage door was open and I saw Jesse and Dom inside. I stepped out of the car and everyone saw me and smiled as if happy to see me. I expected looks of anger, but I was greeted with only love from my family. I walked up onto the front porch and Leon hugged me.

"Hey girl. Where have you been?" he asked and I grinned.

"On adventures with my mom is all." I lied and the door opened and out came Letty and Mia. Both women smiled.

"Hey girl. How's your shoulder?" Letty asked and I looked at almost forgetting the wound.

"It's alright. Thanks." I replied and Mia just gave me a look knowing that everything I said was a lie. Mia motioned her head to the door.

"Come on. I can only imagine you need a drink with this vicious heat." she said and I nodded and followed her inside.

"I so could." I told.

"Cazzy hurry up if we are going to do this we need to do it now." Dom yelled and I nodded.

"Okay one sec!" I yelled out and moved into the kitchen and Mia handed me a glass of lemonade.

"So what happened?" she asked leaning against the wall and I sighed.

"Johnny took me to the Black Panther last night." she told and her eyes stayed on mine for a while.

"The Black Panther? Isn't that the African club?" she asked and I nodded.

"Yeah. Everything was good until Warrick Cornwallis showed up." I told and her eyes flexed a bit.

"Warrick showed up? No wonder that area is his turf." she replied and I nodded.

"He started the shooting at the race and he was the one who shot me a few days ago. He also tried to have Johnny killed last night. I... killed one of them and we managed to get out." I told and her mouth dropped in shock and she covered it with her hand.

"Oh my god." she said and came over with open arms. I placed the drink down and hugged her back.

"I had never been so afraid for him in my life." I whispered in her ear and she nodded.

"You love him." she whispered and I looked forward and nodded as I listened.

"I do." I replied and she pulled back and sighed.

"I won't tell them. But you know you should." she replied and I nodded.

"Yes I know." I replied and she nodded.

"Cazzy come on!" Dom yelled and Mia and I laughed at how impatient he was being.

"Yeah yeah I'm coming." I replied loudly and Mia smiled at me.

"It will be okay." she replied and I nodded.

"I know." I replied and the two of us left to meet Dom.
