Chapter 27: Discussion

Later that evening in Azarath the Titans, Raven's mother and the two aliens were standing in the court yard in front of the Cathedral. The courtyard, was a large circular structure that was decorated with thousand green hedges that encompassed the entire layout. All The hedges were designs of animals from earth. They ranged from the massive and majestic Blue Whale to the tiny field mouse.

In the middle of the patio sat an alluring Water fountain. It had a reflecting pool that was filled with crystal blue water. On the far left side of the courtyard was a massive white cobblestone cathedral that had two giant oak wood doors with a set of bronze knockers and gold handles. The door itself had very intricate and gothic designs carved into its lumber. The cathedral had many statues of past Azars situated along the front of the building, and tens of thousands of gargoyles were perched upon the edge. The pool was made of limestone and was twelve feet in length and two feet deep. In the middle of the pool sat the fountain which was an aesthetically pleasing statue of the cities beloved Azar. The effigy was carved out of pearl white marble stone, it depicted a female in her mid-twenties early thirties. Draped in a floor length hooded robe that shrouded her completely.

The only thing visible from her hooded statue were a pair of emerald stones that glowed brilliantly from underneath the shadows of her hood. The likeness stood on a circular terrace as jet streams of water break free and dance in a jovial display.

Looking around the empty patio the occupants of t there now were getting restless. "Ms. Roth." Garfield said gaining the attention of the older woman who stared at her son-in-law with a small smirk. "Now Garfield you can call me mom." The woman said in a cheerful voice, "Sorry.'' Said the changeling. A rosy tint invaded his cheeks causing a few of his friends and his wife to chuckle at the scene. "Well, mom where is the Azar."

As soon as the words fell from his lips the doors to the church slowly creaked opened. Once the door was opened completely a female figure wearing; a green hooded robe, standing at five foot nine inches stood in the entrance way.

Arella, Raven, and the others stood up straight and stared at the figure awaiting a response. The figure stood at the exodus silently scanning the crowd before her. In a sultry and demanding voice the figure said, "It is so nice to meet you Titans. I am the Azar, come on in we have much to discuss."

Stepping aside the Azar waited for her guest to enter the place of worship. When they entered the doors creaked closed behind them with a dull thud. The room they were in was dark and quiet. The arrant smell of burning candle wax and incense permeated the enclosed space.

There were two giant red and purple stained glass windows in the front behind a cherry wood podium. The imagery on the glass depicted a picture of a former Azar in a forest, with a silver broad sword in their hands battling Trigon.

On the floor out in front of the Titans, on either side of the room were rows of pews. Ten pews across and ten down on each side of the room. On the floor beneath the pews was giant depiction of a black feathered raven in flight that covered the entire stone flooring.

A smattering of people were seated in the pews with bowed heads giving their worship to their leader. The Azar then ushered them away from the main part of the church into a backroom that had a door with a plaque that read, 'Conference' The Azar opened the door, stepped from the doorway and with a wave of her hand motioned our heroes to enter the room.

Brazil Onsenburg Building

Silently making his way down the hall the thief came across a wooden door that had a bronze handle, which had no hint of what was held within it. Interest piqued Red X placed his hand on the handle the cold metal chilled his hand momentarily causing him to shiver. Slowly turning the handle an audible click echoed throughout the emptiness of the hall. Slowly opening the door after looking around to see if anyone herd the noise, when the door was fully opened what he saw both surprised and intrigued the master thief.

'Hmm, now isn't this convenient.' Behind the mystery door was a secret elevator, the inside of the hoist was metal all around from floor to ceiling. On the left of the door was buttons that were labeled; basement and warehouse. Smiling behind his mask X pressed the button on the side of his visor as the 3d projection of the building appeared in front of his eyes, a red dot started to blink sporadically in the image that indicated where his prize was.

Zooming in on to the blip that was on the top floor right where the warehouse was at. Stepping into the escalator and closing the door behind him the master thief pressed the warehouse button. A bell dinged as the elevator ascended slowly up.

Azarth

In the conference room which held a long silver table that measured six foot long, with twenty wooden chairs surrounding the piece of furniture. But at the head of the table was a plush satin swivel chair. Along the walls on each side of the room were long short bookshelves filled to the brim with different books; some on the shelves and some were strewn haphazardly along the top. Different portraits of the past Azars were also hanging up along the walls surfaces. The walls themselves were painted in a deep navy blue that gave the room a very trusting environment.

Looking around the room just enjoying the environment Garfield and Raven looked at each other and said at the same time, "This reminds me of your room." The couple stared at the other with slightly shocked expressions on their face that dissolved into giggles after a while. Arella who was watching from the side smiled at Raven happy that her daughter has found happiness with another person.

The sound of the door closing caused the occupants of the room to turn around as the Azar made her way into the room and sat down at the head of the table. As soon as she sat the others sat too. Raven, Garfield, Cyborg, Starfire, and Nightwing sat on the right side of the table while Bumblebee, Tempest, Speedy, Jinx, and Mas y Menos sat on the left.

Star and Micheal stood up at the other end of the table. Star on the left and Micheal on the right while Arella sat in the middle of the two.

The Azar then folded her hands in front of her face and let out a sigh and asked. "What seems to be the problem?" Raven explained everything including everything that led them to Azarath.

The Azar sat silently throughout the entire story just listening to the tale. Once Raven was done with her story the Azar got up and walked toward one of the shelves, her hands behind her backs.

"So this vision you had when was this attack supposed to take place?"

"Tonight Azar." Said Raven

Turning back toward her seat the Azar looked at the Titans the hood of her robe shadowing her feature but the tone of her voice was one of determination and resolve.

"Titans I leave this to you find this creature and take him down."

Getting a nod from everyone in the room the Titans stood up from the table and marched out of the room.

Arella was still seated when her daughter and her friends exited out of the conference room looking at the door Arella thought, 'Be careful everyone protect my daughter and Raven protect your friends.'
