"Sarah, what are you doing here?" Stiles wanted to know as his big sister walked into the hospital.
"Um, I actually wanted to see you." Sarah scoffed. "Look, you know that Lydia's awake now, so I think it's time to come home. School starts tomorrow."
"Since when so you care about school?"
"I don't." Sarah responded airily. "But I care about your education." Stiles was about to shoot her a remark but Sarah stopped him. "Look, I know you're cranky and you're about so say something rude. But before you do, let's go get something from the vending machine to quell your hunger."
"Only you would use the word 'quell' in a normal conversation."
"And only I would use it in proper context." She pulled her brother up and they walked arm-in-arm to get a snack. Stiles put his change in to get some candy, making Sarah purse her lips. "That is not food." Stiles ignored her and got irritated when the snack got stuck, which only amused Sarah. Her amusement grew when her brother started fiddling with machine. "Aren't you going overboard?" He was practically shaking the entire thing now. And it didn't surprise Sarah when the entire thing fell over, nearly crushing Stiles, who jumped out of the way just in the nick of time. "Jesus Christ!"
"No, I'm Stiles." Sarah rolled her eyes and was about to respond when an ear-splitting shriek filled what seemed to be the entire hospital. And from pure instinct, Sarah knew that it was Lydia.
The police arrived within minutes. The sheriff was puzzled at all these happenings and why they all seemed to revolve around the same people. He thought that once Kate Argent had been killed, the two weeks of winter had brought some sort of peace to Beacon Hills. But it seemed not.
"Do we have any other descriptions?" The sheriff asked.
"She's 5'3, green eyes, fair skin and her hair is actually strawberry blonde." Stiles reported as a matter of factly. Sarah tried to repress her laughter but it came out in soft snorts. It was deemed very unladylike by Stiles.
"Stiles, what the hell are you still doing here?" The sheriff asked.
"Um, providing moral support?"
"How about you provide your ass back home, where it should be?" Sarah took her brother by the arm and began guiding him out to the Jeep to take him home so he could actually sleep. They passed a couple of janitors trying to turn the vending machine right side up and walked even more quickly away, giggling mercilessly.
"Whoa!" Sarah was startled to find Scott already sitting in the front seat. "Aw, someone's mom made him get a haircut." She ruffled her friend's hair to his annoyance, but nevertheless allowed it.
"Is this what she was wearing?"
"I think so."
"Where the hell did you get that?" Sarah was highly worried.
"Her hospital room." Stiles answered.
"Creeper." Stiles only shrugged.
"It's a necessity. Look, can you just put the thing to your face and find her?" Suddenly, Allison appeared out of nowhere and Scott kept whispering to her about being seen together, but the hunter's daughter wouldn't have any of it. She was determined to find Lydia and bring her back safe and sound.
"Look, I just saw my father and two other guys leave in two big SUVs."
"Search party." Scott muttered.
"More like a hunting party." Sarah corrected.
"Get in."
"Oh, no, she is not sitting on my lap. Sorry, Allison. You'll have to sit on Scott's lap." Sarah muttered. "But I have a feeling you're ok with that." Both teenagers blushed.
"They won't tell me anything about Lydia or my family or the funeral."
"Ok, your family has some serious communication issues." Stiles noted dryly. "Scott, are we going the right way?" Scott had his head sticking out of the Jeep just like an actual dog would. Sarah giggled at the antics being used.
"Take the next right!" Stiles did so and they took a trail until it was too dark to see even with the Jeep's headlights. So the four teenagers got out and began walking with Scott as their guide. A familiar house appeared and Sarah sighed.
"This is where the scent leads?" Stiles asked in exasperation. Scott nodded. "Well, has Lydia ever been here?" They all shook their heads.
"Maybe she was drawn to Derek."
"You mean, an Alpha?" Sarah responded.
"Isn't it an instinct?" Allison wondered. "To be part of a pack?"
"Yeah, we're stronger in packs."
"Like strength in numbers."
"No, like, physically stronger, faster and better in every way." Scott responded.
"Is it the same for an Alpha?"
"Yeah, it will make Derek stronger too."
"Hey, guys, look at this." Stiles was brushing around looking for something. "I think it's a Trip Wire." Sarah bent down next to her brother and Allison and watched as Stiles pulled it, seeing where it ended up.
"Hey, Stiles."
"Yeah, buddy?" The three turned around to see Scott hanging by his leg. Allison tried to fight giggles, but Sarah was outright laughing.
"It's ok to laugh, Allison. It's therapeutic." The younger girl let out a few chuckles.
"Next time you see a Trip Wire, don't trip it."
"Duly noted." They were about to cut Scott loose, but a snag in the forest made Scott stop his friends from doing so.
"Someone's coming. Go! Hide!" Sarah took the other two by the arms and led them behind some trees and saw Chris Argent approaching Scott. They all held their breath and then realized that Mr. Argent wasn't going to do anything to the young werewolf. There was a firm talking to and then the hunters left the scene. The three others raced back to their friend and cut him loose. They headed to the Hale house, but upon finding nothing, they called the search off for the night and headed home.
Hey, all! I know, you all probably hate me because it's be eons since I've updated. Anyway, here is the start of Season Two. I'm very excited about this. I feel like we see a lot of character development with Sarah in this portion of the series and we see her relationships struggle and grow because of it. There are some harsh things that I put into this season, which you may not like, but I have dubbed important. Originally, I wasn't going to start posting this season until I'd finished with Season Three A and was in the process of editing it. However, with all the plot twists, it's a little difficult to keep Sarah involved as much as she is now. But I've come up with something that I really like for her character and I hope you continue to love her as much as I do.
Don't forget to review! I love you all!
