"I can't wait until we get home Jiraiya-sensei!" Azula beamed as she walked slightly more energetically than normal. Today was the day that she got to return to her home. This was the moment that she had trained her but off for. She didn't spend all of her time out of the village training for nothing. No, Azula trained with intensity because she wanted to have as much of a life as possible.
The blonde haired girl knew that she had people like the Akatsuki whose goal was to make her life as miserable as possible. That didn't even include the fact that there was two whole entire countries who were out to make her breeding stock and until every single one of her eggs were used. Worst of all, as much as she didn't want to hear it, Azula was aware to the fact that there would be political moves from inside the village and they would affect her.
The most notable one that Jiraiya forced down her throat was none other than the Godaime Hokage Danzo Shimura. Everything that Azula had heard about Konoha through the grapevine came from the decisions of this man. From what she had heard, there was nothing other than the improvement of the shinobi academy program that Azula could say that she supported.
Everything else that he had done had essentially taken the character and emotion out of the village. Thankfully her godfather had warned her to the point where she knew what the man was willing to do and the lengths that he was willing to go to.
This was none more so prevalent in the way that Danzo completely eviscerated Sunagakure after their failed attempt to stab Konoha in the back. The village of sunagakure was no more and all it took was six months. The country was in complete and utter turmoil as there was no hidden village to protect the daimyo.
Eventually said man settled to let his country be supported by Iwagakure since they were the closest nation. This was not something that Danzo liked at all. The massive upgrade in terms of land mass didn't really bother Danzo. It was the potential strategic advantage that Konoha's greatest enemy gained from it.
Azula wasn't as naïve as she once was. She knew that the world was heading to another shinobi world war. Danzo had militarized Konoha too much for it to be anything but. The training program had changed and every student was coming out as good as Shino and Ino.
The big difference though was that every shinobi graduated. Once you joined the army, you never got discharged for being bad. You were sent to remedial classes where if you still could not get the concept of being a ninja, your training would allow you to progress into a civilian job making sure the army ran smoothly.
Apparently, from what she had heard from Jiraiya-sensei, her three students if you could call them that were on par with herself, Naruto and Sasuke. Well at least that was the rumour spreading around town.
She doubted that they were as strong as her let alone Naruto and Sasuke. She didn't brag about her skills anywhere near as much as what she previously used to do when she was younger but she was still confident in her abilities. Then there were her two teammates Sasuke and Naruto…
Azula wasn't sure of the current situation but she doubted that neither of the two had let up in their training. You didn't develop a work ethic like what they had at such a young age and let it go to waste. No, Azula was confident that they had improved a lot over the past three years where she had been with Jiraiya-sensei.
When she was younger, Azula liked to think that she was on the same level as those two but looking back on it with more experience and ability, she knew that Naruto and Sasuke were in a different league. She could only hope that she had managed to close the gap on her two teammates.
Teammates were one word you could use and it was the one that Azula herself was going to use until she at least had the chance to talk to them face to face. Everyone else in Konoha except surprisingly Jiraiya-sensei called the pair traitors but she didn't want to do that. She wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt.
There was nothing more that Azula wanted to do than bring her two boys back home. She hadn't seen them in ages and she wanted nothing more than to be a team again doing missions like when they were genin.
Speaking of genin, she was not one anymore. She didn't know it was possible but high ranking shinobi could promote genin rather than having to wait for the next available chunin exams. Azula got a pretty good birthday present two years ago when her sensei Jiraiya just chucked a chunin vest at the girl.
The good thing about her training with Jiraiya was the fact that she wasn't just learning how to become stronger. Azula was getting the chance to put all of these new skills into action and get them field tested.
Most importantly though, Azula wanted to get her boys back. There was not a shadow of a doubt in her mind that there was more to the story of Naruto and Sasuke leaving Konoha than what the rumours of Konoha were telling her. She wanted to get to the bottom of it as soon as possible. Because of her status as the fourth Hokage's daughter, it made Azula much more guarded and she rarely let people into her inner sanctum of friendship.
Outside of Ino, Naruto and Sasuke were the only two people who managed to break into that group. She was acquaintances with the rest of the Konoha 10 but it was not as if that Azula had sent notes back to Konoha addressed to Ino. On that same token, Azula never received any from anyone either.
It was why when someone or in this case two people managed to break through her barriers, that they became so important to her. The betrayal to the village was something that she didn't even care all that much about to be honest. It was the betrayal to her in that they left her that she wanted to find out the truth behind.
The Sasuke and Naruto that she knew wouldn't have simply left the village because they felt like it. She was certain that there was fare more to it. There was not a snowflake's chance in her mind that Naruto corrupted the mind of Sasuke Uchiha to leave because he was a demon.
That… That was definitely something that was impossible because she knew for a fact that Naruto was not the demon holder. She was. Jiraiya certainly had a surprise for Azula that day…
To think that they would think that Naruto was the demon was completely untrue and it was this that told Azula not to trust the villagers when it came to her teammates.
x-X-x
Naruto could finally smile. He could finally sit back and admire all of the hard work that everyone had put into the construction of the new hidden village. The spine of the new village was now fully functional.
The first and part of the shinobi village that was completed was arguably the most important part. Thanks to its development being overseen by the best in the world at their chosen field, Tsunade created a state of the art medial facility that would not only cater to shinobi but also civilians as well. The hospital wasn't completely class free. It didn't matter if you were poor or wealthy, it didn't matter if you were a shinobi or a civilian, you would get the best possible treatment available.
It wasn't completely free but the way that the laws were written up meant that it was heavily subsidised by the taxes that you paid. Because all of the hospital's construction was being overseen by Tsunade, it meant that a state of the art had been created. It was one of those things which the population of Hamagakure didn't mind spending extra money on as it would keep their loved ones safe.
The second part of area to be fully completed was the academy. With creating a new village and a lot of the people joining said new village being people with little to no money, all of the education had to be completely free of charge and it was. Everything from books to lunch all the way through to onsite accommodation for the orphans was all taken care of by the government.
The only catch was that if you dropped out, then you would have to pay back every cent that you spent. For every kid who came from a poor background, this was a massive incentive to stick through it and become a shinobi.
The thing was that everyone came from a poor family except for a select few. All the people who came from the land of tea were blue collar workers. All of the people that Sasuke picked up from the land of lightning were unemployed although most of them weren't at an age were working was legal. The people hailing from Sunagakure wasn't much different because what assets they did have quickly dried up when they moved to a place where they had to buy new homes even if they were subsidised and cheap to begin with.
It wasn't just the threat of having to pay back all of the money though that kept the kids in school. Even at their respective young ages, the kids realised just how good this new life that they were living was. They definitely didn't want to go back to the lives that they were living. This new standard of living brought to them by being a shinobi was something that they wanted to keep.
There was definitely a good chance that they would keep that standard of living as well because of just how well they were getting trained.
All of the kids who were starting at the academy were not used to any other academy schedule so they didn't have anything else to gauge it on but they thought it was intense. They were right. They had no idea just how different it was from other academies.
Flashback
Naruto, Sasuke, Gaara and the principal of the school were all sitting in a room together. It had been three months after leaving Konoha that the four of them all got time to go through the curriculum for the shinobi students. Of course whatever was decided upon now was subject to change as this was only the first draft of the final product.
At the moment, Kankuro was the only shinobi to volunteer to become a teacher so he was head of the training at the moment. This was very problematic mainly because of the simple fact that Kankuro had never actually been to a school himself. All of his training came from the jonin that his father had assigned to his sister and himself.
This left Kankuro having to just wing it and hope for the best. Thankfully at this point in time with how raw and undeveloped his students were, all he really had to teach them was just get them to do some strength and conditioning alongside some meditation so that the kids could eventually unlock their chakra.
"So let's get started." Naruto stated to which everyone nodded.
Normally, Sasuke was willing to let conversations take place and interject only when necessary. This time was different however. He felt passionate about establishing a positive environment for the children at the academy because like Naruto and Gaara, he didn't want any other kids to have similar childhood's to the one that he had.
It was why he spoke first.
"School will start at 8:30 am and go to 5pm. The extra time at the academy will mean that there will never be any need for homework."
The civilian woman who had been a teacher for 3 years before relocating was still nervous around the trio of shinobi. She had witnessed everything that Gaara was capable and struggled to be around him. She had seen the massive change in him and was now more comfortable around him than ever. She still didn't want to annoy him though.
The fact that Gaara had been defeated by one of the other two men scared her more than calmed her. She had no idea what they were capable of.
"That seems awfully long hours for a child. At a civilian school, they only do six hours a day." She nervously said. Just when Sasuke turned around, she got chills down her spine.
"We are not at a point where we can shave hours off the curriculum. We are so small and insignificant to other villages that we have to obtain a strong army as soon as possible. The second that the other villages find out about us, they are going to send scouts to determine how strong we are. The weaker we are, the more incentive there is for them to attack us."
After listening to Sasuke's explanation, the principal was on board. "But wouldn't training as intensely as what I assume you're suggesting burn them out?" The civilian asked as she had no idea what shinobi training was like.
It was Naruto who spoke up next. "No they won't. We will have large breaks so that they have a larger than average amount of leisure time. Also, if we notice this happening, we can easily tweak the schedule." Naruto stated as along with Gaara agreed with the sentiment of Sasuke.
"Shinobi also shouldn't be one dimensional fighter. I myself am the exception to the rule because I am a jinchuuriki." Gaara stated. This was one thing that Gaara had done research on as he was somewhat considering to be the leader of Sunagakure. He noticed that there was too much of a coincidence in terms of their shinobi being too specialised and if anything out of the mission parameters came up, they were screwed.
Both Naruto and Sasuke definitely agreed because they knew you were only as strong as the weakest link in the chain.
"We can't go down the same path as the Konoha academy. That was really crap. All they did was focus on textbook learning. What we need to do is focus less on jamming info into their skulls and more on things like critical thinking and problem solving. There was this girl back at the academy who was the smartest student in terms of being able to recite a textbook but failed because she was so shit in every other area."
The civilian was writing down everything that Naruto said and went with it. She knew there were a lot of differences between the civilian school system that she previously taught to the shinobi way. The woman could tell that being able to apply what you know was better than not being able to apply what you know.
"Finally as per the actual curriculum, I don't think it is asking that much if we expect the graduation test to involve, one elemental ninjutsu, one c-ranked genjutsu, basic use of the mystic palm jutsu, an eighty percent mark on a test and finally a physical component that involves a spar with a chunin where they have to combine everything they know to last 15 minutes or they fail." Naruto stated to which Sasuke nodded. Gaara seemed a bit sceptical but he was trying to be optimistic these days so he didn't say anything.
The civilian on the other hand had no idea what any of this meant so simply agreed. It would only be after a few years of looking at her students would she realise just how demanding this was.
"To help get these kids up to that level, I am going to offer up everything that an academy student could need from the Senju Library." Now, she didn't know what the significance of this was but judging by the expressions coming from two of the best in hiding emotions that she had ever seen, she thought that this was somewhat important.
Seeing the girl's expression, Naruto elaborated. "Yeah unlike this fuck head over here, some of us actually have to study. We can't just look at text and immediately ingrain that into our brains. My clan's name means the clan of a thousand skills. We built our own library that is the biggest shinobi library in existence just so we could have a chance at killing this faggot's" at this point, Naruto aimed his finger at Sasuke "ancestors.
Flash back end
The fruits of this were finally on display as Hamagakure finally had its first shinobi graduates. Unfortunately the standards that Naruto had requested were not something that could be feasibly met. The students had only had two and a half years of training under their belt.
Unfortunately though, the village treasury that had been won at the chunin exams was quickly drying up. They needed to get the shinobi in training out into the field so that they could earn the village some money or the economy would break down.
Some of the most gifted students of the academy were at the same level where they could potentially graduate from Konoha. The compromise was that they were getting led by a team of two chunins and their five man team would start doing missions.
The only thing that kept Naruto without nightmares at night was the fact that the part that was drilled into the shinobi the most was the healing jutsu so that if anything did in fact happen well then at least there was something that could be done to help out.
Seeing just how good these kids were with only half the time spent in the academy bolded well for the long term future of the curriculum. The goal that everyone in the development of the academy had was that each genin that comes out of the academy would be at the level of a Konoha chunin only without the experience.
It had to be this way because they didn't have the numbers that other villages had. Instead they had to make this up with quality shinobi. The way that Hamagakure was doing this was revolutionary. All other schools offered the one curriculum.
Hamagakure was different though. Instead they made a student channel some chakra into a piece of chakra paper the second that they would unlock their chakra network. This would tell the teacher how best the student would learn. Of course, this was not perfect and there' are exceptions to the rule but for the most part it was correct.
The part where this really stood out was when it came to what taijutsu style would each kid learn. At Konoha, some kids got the academy taijutsu style in a matter of days. Others like Naruto took longer to learn it. Naruto found out later on that this was because the academy fighting style was the same as the base fire element fighting style that he found in a scroll when he was studying.
It was here where Naruto had the idea to have a different taijutsu style for each element. It was a win win situation. Each student would not only learn a fighting style that they were suited to meaning less time learning it but also, it meant that they would get to spar against different fighting styles and gain more valuable experience.
Naruto stood down from his position on the three watching over the genin hopefuls. Whilst their numbers were definitely small, Naruto was confident that they would punch above their weight and protect the village.
In the meantime, there were a few things that he had to do before he could see the fruits of the academy. He had a sister to visit.
x-X-x
Samui smiled softly. she honestly couldn't believe how much her life had changed. The jury was out on whether or not it was for the better but she definitely knew that it wasn't for the worse.
The blonde haired woman definitely did not expect to enjoy the mission that she had gone on those years ago. Sure, the death of C was not in the plan but plans always changed at the first thrown kunai.
It had been rough for Samui during her first few weeks settling into the new village of Hamagakure. Samui wasn't proud of the fact that the every night for the first week of staying in the new village she had nightmares. The jonin vividly remembered the day where she was almost raped. The only reason why she wasn't was because of the man she was sleeping next to.
She knew that said fact was very good for the mission but in all honesty, samui didn't care one bit at the moment. She didn't want to spit in the face of the hospitality and just start getting semen injected into her womb. Of course, samui knew that this was the best chance to start touching Sasuke Uchiha under the guise of wanting comfort from the event.
Samui shivered in her sleep the second night she spent in the bed of Sasuke and moved her arms out until she felt the hand of the Uchiha. just the touch of skin between the two shinobi was enough for Samui to fall back asleep.
Sasuke for his part knew from Naruto that he should expect this from the girl as she was suffering from PTSD. the strange thing was for the black haired boy was that he didnt actually mind the feeling. He hadn't ever thought of women that way before until the moment when he had the best sensation of his life. It was tonnes better than the best pump he had ever received from training.
It was the best orgasm ever and with him being a teenage boy going through puberty, there was not a second where the thought would leave his mind. he wanted to experience it again.
This was the sole reason as to why sasuke uchiha didnt mind it when Samui touched him during sleep time.
It was from there on that slowly, progressively, Samui inched closer and closer until the pair of them cuddled during thier sleep every night. The thing was that each day was as if what had happened the night before didn't happen at all.
That was until Samui decided to try and up the touching. Just from the small amount of time that she had spent with the teenager, Samui knew that Sasuke was not the type for a one night stand. He had far too much pride for that. She had seen the way that he talked about clan values and knew that he didn't want to build up the reputation as a player.
It made Samui respect the man that much more. It made Samui realise that Sasuke wasn't actually that bad of a guy and that if she had to have some children immediately, there were worse choices out there. The blonde haired woman realised that there was no set time frame for getting pregnant. Realistically speaking, she could spend as much time as she wanted attempting to get Sasuke to impregnate her.
Right then and there Samui realised that she could spend a little time with Sasuke and taking it slow before pregnancy. It made Samui happy as the thought of a relationship with Sasuke Uchiha didn't actually sound all that bad. The epiphany brought a smile to the face of the former Kumo Jonin.
The other way that Samui justified doing what she did was because she had received a secondary mission from the Raikage in addition to getting a baby inside of her stomach by the Uchiha. She was to spy on the new village and report on their strength.
I still haven't seen the full strength of Sasuke Uchiha, if I had to guess, Sasuke would be on the same level as Darui Raikage-sama. As for Naruto, I think he is about the same as Sasuke Uchiha although probably a bit less. He is a medical ninja who has received training from Tsunade Senju. Finally, the other strong ninja in the village is Gaara Sabaku the jinchuuriki of the one tail.
Gaara is the only person I have seen display his abilities enough to properly guage him. Outside of the village he is jonin level but it is inside the village where he is much stronger. As his ninjutsu is based on sand, I would say that Gaara is nearing Kage level in the village as we are based near a beach which he can pull the entirety of to aid him in battle.
Outside of those three, the village has no noteworthy ninjas to call upon so if you kill those three, the village will crumble.
It is hard to tell because they have only produced one class of genin but I would say the standard of the academy is slightly below the standard of Kumogakure.
As for the original mission, I have finally coerced Sasuke Uchiha into a relationship. We cemented the relationship with sex but he insisted on using a condom. I am certain that I will get pregnant soon.
As she finished up her most recent letter to her boss the Raikage, Samui had a realization. The more time she spent with Sasuke and to a lesser extent the village, her messages back to Kumogakure were becoming slightly more vague and containing less valuable information.
The major point being one time having lunch with Sasuke, she asked him just how strong he thought he was. The answer she got surprised her as Sasuke honestly told her that he thought he was a Kage level shinobi already. The thought intimidated Samui as it shocked her that someone so young could be so strong.
She did not disclose this information to her superior. She did not disclose the fact that this whole new village operation was being overseen by Tsunade Senju. For all intents and purposes, Ei was led to believe that it was being run by a bunch of teenagers who had no idea how to run a village. If word got out that it was being administered by one of the sannin then more respect and attention would be given.
This coincided with how she under sold the academy. The only reason why the academy was slightly worse than Kumo was because of time. Once the academy students had the full five years to develop their skills, she was confident that they would be capable of fighting kumo freshly minted chunin to a stand still.
At least when it came to talking about the strength of Naruto, she was not lying. The only reason why she told the truth about the Uzumaki was because Samui had not been on a mission with the blonde yet. Because the two of them were both jonin, there previously had not been a chance for the two of them to go on the same mission. There were very few jonin so they were generally leading different squads.
Today was the day where she got to go on her first mission with Naruto. Samui was eager to finally see if all the shit talk that Naruto spewed out on a consistant basis was something that he was capable of backing up with his fists.
She had the distinct pleasure of listening to Naruto ramble on about complete shit in how he deserved to be called "The Great One" although he actually didnt mind the other nickname that seemed to have stuck. "The People's Champion" was something that Naruto himself thought was pretty catchy.
Disregarding thoughts about her teammate in this mission, Samui finished writing the message to the Raikage and quickly sent it to him without a trace to be found. After that, Samui put her uniform on over the top of a pair of non descript bra and panties.
She had to admit that she did like the standard uniform of Hamagakure. The bottom half of her outfit was heavy duty spandex which had padding from a chunin vest covering the large muscle groups of her legs. It didn't cover the whole area but it didn't have to. It offered protection whilst still allowing for mobility. The theme was the same for a long sleeve spandex top that came up to her neck. It was filled with thicker padding around the stomach to mimic a chunin vest.
The only weakness of the suit was the joints but the added increase in flexibility and mobility was a worthy trade off.
Not wanting to have her body completely on show, Samui wore a black long sleeve blouse that showed no cleavage. She finished off the look with a pair of shinobi sandals.
After having packed everything else she needed into the sealing scrolls stored in the pockets of her holsters, Samui made her way to the front of the vilalge where she met Naruto who also looked fully prepared for the mission. She was interested to see how this raid on a Konoha base which controlled a shipping port vital to the new village's interests would go.
Author's Note: Yeah, this chapter is essentially filler and finishes off the timeskip. Consider from this point on to be shippuden. This will be Naruto's first proper fight. If there is anything jutsus or moves that you want to see Naruto use, send it to me in a review and I will consider it :)
I used a different word processing program this time as I have given my laptop to my parents for a holiday. The grammar is probably going to be slightly less.
