Woo boy. I keep taking breaks to get caught up in other things. It's bad for my commitments.

FLUFF/ANGST CHAPTER INCOMING!

Skywarp peered down at Kira, smiling at her sleeping face. She was just so cute! Crawling onto the bed, he snuggled his helm into her neck, ignoring her mumbled protests; she never did anything when he slept with her. So soft… He vented happily, optics off in contentment. He felt good around her, like the good that he felt around 'Cracker and 'Screamer, but NOT like that also. He felt…warm inside with her, like he ate too many Energon goodies or cookies and was buzzing.

It wasn't a bad feeling, like when he was around Henry; that made him feel sick. Skywarp hmmed a bit, thinking about how weird it was to feel a sensation because you were near someone—a someone you weren't bonded to, at that! He crinkled his nasal plates—too weird!—and snuggled in closer with Kira. He wrapped his arms around her, marveling at how small she was compared to him; he could tuck her whole body under his chin! Imagine how small she would be if you were fullsized? You could crush her.

Skywarp stilled, optics flaring on in a burst of blood red. He could hurt her; she was so fragile and it would be too easy to snap her. His servo grasped her hand lightly, bringing it up to his face plates as Kira slept. Her skin was soft and pliable under his claws as he rubbed it tenderly. We have to be careful. Could you imagine what it would be like without her? Skywarp shuddered, curling around her tighter. It would be so lonely without Kira; there would be no one to cuddle with and hug and make pancakes and cookies with and—He took a deep breath. That wouldn't happen; Thundercracker and Starscream would help him keep her safe. They made a whole criminal empire they could use to defend her if needed! But could you stop the Decepticons? This isn't our dimension; we don't know them, they don't know us. He held back a growl, narrowing his optics in the darkened room. He would take them all down if he needed too, Imposter-Screamer included! Kira belonged to him, and by extent his brothers, and Seekers take care of what was theirs!

But what if they take her from us? Skywarp clenched his servo, angrily; it wouldn't happen. A screech of pain startled him and he let go.

Kira scrambled away from him, eyes bleary with shock and sleep as she clutched her bleeding hand to her chest. "Skywarp, what—" He didn't hear the rest of it, staring at his servo in horror. It was too easy—he didn't mean too, it just happened! He turned his shellshocked optics to Kira, and saw that she had wrapped her hand up in a blanket. She moved towards him, eyeing him warily but warmly; Skywarp flung himself off the bed and onto the floor in a rush to get away. We can't be near her—we already hurt her. He gave a strangled noise in his throat as Kira approached again, cooing at him as he began rocking back and forth.

"Hey, it's okay. It was just a nightmare.* I didn't know you guys could get them too; shhh, calm down it's alright," Kira drew him into a hug, rubbing her hand down his helm. "It's alright."

A sob caught in Skywarp's throat. "I didn't, I hurt, I…I'm sorry! So sorry," he coughed, as Kira comforted him. We're horrible, hurting her. She's so nice, and sweet and we are going to break her because she's so delicate. Monster; we're a monster. We can't be near her, let go of her. You'll hurt her again, let go.

"It's okay, 'Warp," His spark choked at the nickname. Too nice, we're going to crush her. "I know you didn't mean to. You would never mean to; you're just too sweet. Sweet like a cookie. How 'bout that huh? Do you want to make cookies with me?" Skywarp shuddered, leaning into her hug and nodded.

We can't lose her; not to Them or to us. As Kira stood up and led him down to the kitchen, Skywarp watched her hand in his, still dripping blood through the blanket. He couldn't lose her. He swept her up gently, ignoring her squawk of surprise. Once they reached the kitchen he set her down on the counter and started to rifle through the cabinets.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Kira made to get off the counter, but Skywarp stopped her. Of course, in preventing her from getting down, he could no longer look through the cabinets. OH wait, he was part of a Trine.

::Hey 'Cracker? Could you come to the kitchen and help me find the bandages? Kira's hand is hurt!::

::Give me a moment.:: The sound of metallic steps rang through the house as Thundercracker came in—with the bandages.

::For future reference, bandages are in the bathroom.:: He knew that. Thundercracker gave him a look as he bandaged Kira's hand, recognizing the wounds. ::Skywarp?:: He asked, as Kira thanked him and hopped down to make the promised cookies. Skywarp watched her intently as she gathered the ingredients.

::I wanted to keep her safe but I hurt her instead. I can't keep her safe.:: Thundercracker huffed, and moved to help Kira in finding the chocolate chips.

::Then I will.:: He hefted the bag onto the counter, glancing at the still brooding member of his Trine. Moron; Trine's always had each other's backs. Why would this be different?

::But what if you can't?:: Skywarp obediently cracked the eggs Kira gave him, making himself giggle happily so as not to worry her. His optics softened as her face lit up, and Thundercracker rolled his optics, leaning against the counter.

::Then Starscream will.:: He glanced out the window towards the sky. Speaking of, his fearless leader would be arriving soon; he had dropped everything when Thundercracker pinged him about Skywarp being depressive. Motherhen.

::But what if he can't?::

::Then the ridiculously oversized criminal empire we built using fleshies will do it, under the guidance of Mr. Code.:: Mr. Code had proven himself trustworthy enough for them to introduce him to Kira, if they felt like it. It really was simply a matter of convincing Skywarp to share at this point.

Skywarp stirred the chocolate chips in as Kira poured them, optics glued to her bandaged hand. You did that. Shut up. ::But what if –::

::SKYWARP. Stop worrying or you'll turn into Starscream.::

Skywarp puffed up in indignation, still stirring the chocolate chips into the dough. ::Will not!:: And just like that the matter was dropped, and Starscream arrived to see Skywarp happily making cookies with Kira. He crossed his arms; and to think he had interrupted his world domination plans/plan for revenge for this.

He would be waiting until the cookies were done before leaving again though. Nothing to do with making sure that Skywarp was really okay. Nope, not at all. And Thundercracker was not giving him an indulgent look. That would be demeaning.

*Kira assumes that Skywarp was asleep when he hurt her, as he had always been so gentle with her in the past. Be assured, him hurting her did actually happen, and will play a role later on in the story.

So for this I tried to showcase how Skywarp was dually like a sparkling and an adult. Let me know if I managed to keep the character; it was hard.

OMAKE

Kira watched as Thundercracker huffed at Skywarp, and as Skywarp pretended to be happy. She measured out the chocolate chips as she watched them from the corner of her eye. She had hoped that cookies would get rid of Skywarp's guilt but it seemed not. But what could she do? As she pondered this, she poured the chips into the dough. What more could she do to cheer him up? I guess I could let up on him for sleeping with me...

Skywarp puffed up, looking upset and sent a vicious glare-if one was a child-at Thundercracker, who gave an indulgent smirk. Nevermind, Thundercracker got it. Moments later Starscream tore in-where did he keep going anyways?-and crossed his arms at the scene. He promptly declared he would be staying until he got cookies, and that was the only reason he was here. So Kira pretended she didn't see how he hovered around Skywarp, and watched him carefully. For his pride's sake.

Thundercracker didn't appear to be extending the same courtesy.
