Epilogue: Fixing a Broken Mind
The Titans were standing around Danny, his face not showing a single sign of emotion. Raven was holding her mirror.
"Are we ready, y'all?" Cyborg asked, looking ready.
"Fix Danny's mind so we can wake him up from his eternal beauty sleep," Beastboy said. "I am so ready."
"Me too," Robin said, looking serious.
"I am also ready," Starfire said.
Everyone nodded and looked at Raven.
"Okay, but I have to warn you," she said, looking at her friends. "This is very dangerous. If we fail to fix his mind while we're in there, we will be trapped in the recess of his mind, forever. Speak now if you want to reconsider."
Everyone held on the same look; determination. Raven nodded and started chanting the spell. A magic circle appeared around the Titans.
"Azarath-," Raven chanted, her eyes glowing.
"-Metrion-," the mirror started floating above Danny, glowing brightly.
"-Zinthos!" A beam burst from Danny's head and connected to the mirror.
The mirror turned into a portal as the Titans turned into light. The light then went inside the portal before it vanished. The mirror slowly descended and landed softly on Danny's chest.
Danny's Mind…
There was a flash of bright light and the Titans appeared, standing on a floating rock. They gasped when they saw the landscape in front of them.
"Woah…" Beastboy said.
"Woah is right," Robin agreed.
The entire place was destroyed; broken buildings were floating in the green, swirling sky. The sky itself looked like a shattered mirror. The only thing not broken was a thin path.
"I guess we better start walking," Cyborg said, testing the fragile-looking path.
"To where?" Beastboy asked. "How do we even fix his mind? Can we even fix it?"
Everyone exchanged looks, not knowing how to answer.
"Maybe we should have thought about this before going in," Robin commented.
"Hiya!" A happy voice said behind them. "Nice to meet you friends!"
They turned around and saw Danny wearing a pink version of his outfit.
"Friend Danny!" Starfire exclaimed in joy, rushing towards Danny. She hugged her when she suddenly let go, a look of disappointment.
"He is not friend Danny," she said in a sad tone.
"How can you know?" Robin asked.
"It's the power of friendship!" Pink Danny exclaimed in a happy tone. "And that makes me so happy!"
He suddenly engulfed everyone in a very tight hug, squeezing the air out of them.
"Oh man!" Cyborg groaned, trying to get free. "Not again."
"And I thought Raven was bad," Beastboy groaned once Danny released them. "At least she didn't try to squeezed the life out of us."
"It's one of those emoti-clones," Robin said, rubbing his ribs.
"Emoti-clones?" Starfire asked, looking at Robin.
"It's like a manifestation of a person's emotions," Robin replied. "This must be Danny's happiness."
"And I am so happy to see you guys!" Happy Danny exclaimed. "My heart is so filled with joy of seeing my best friends in the whole entire world! Give me a hug!"
"No thanks!" Cyborg, Raven, Beastboy and Robin exclaimed, backing away from Happy Danny.
"Please, Happy Danny," Starfire said, looking at the smiling halfa. "How do we help Real Danny?"
"Easy," Happy Danny said, skipping around. "See that broken building?"
Danny pointed at a large building that was cracked in three. The word Fenton Works was on the metallic part of the building.
"For you to fix his mind, you fix the hearth," Happy Danny said. "But this is only the first part."
"First part?" Raven asked, looking at Happy Danny.
"Yeah," Happy Danny replied. "There are three other parts."
"Will you help us fix his mind?" Robin asked, looking at Happy Danny.
"Of course!" Happy Danny cried. "Follow me to the doors of happiness!"
Happy Danny happily skipped through the thin path as the Titans stared at him with disbelief.
"I am never going to get use to this," Cyborg commented and the others agreed.
They followed Happy Danny towards the broken building, trying not to fall. Suddenly, Beastboy's foot slipped. Beastboy screamed as he started…floating.
"Huh?" He said when he realized he was floating. "Dude, how am I floating?"
"This is the mind," Happy Danny replied. "All laws of physics have no power here."
"Then why are we walking on this very fragile path?" Robin asked, looking skeptical.
"To know where to go, duh!" Happy Danny replied. "Here we are!"
Happy Danny opened the door and merrily skipped in. The others followed and saw that instead of a room, it was a large barrier that had a giant tear on the walls.
"What is this place?" Cyborg asked, looking around.
"This is where the memories are stored, my mechanical friend," a voice replied.
The Titans looked and saw another Danny, this one wearing yellow and has a pair of glasses over his mask.
"Greetings," he said, looking at the Titans. "I am Knowledge. I believe you have already met Happiness."
"It is good to see you, Knowledge!" Happy Danny exclaimed, floating beside Knowledge Danny. "How about a hug?"
"No thanks," Knowledge Danny replied, walking towards the Titans. "Your timing couldn't have been better, Titans."
"Why?" Beastboy asked, looking at Knowledge Danny.
"Because you are the key to fix the memories of Danny's old life," Knowledge replied, indicating on the tears. "You must fix this tear before they rip this place apart or Danny will never wake."
"But how do we fix the tear?" Starfire asked.
"We use thread to repair them," Knowledge Danny replied like it was obvious.
"We're gonna need a lot of thread," Cyborg said, looking at the giant tears. "Where's the thread?"
"You people are the threads," Knowledge Danny replied, pointing at the tear. "You must go in his memory and fix it, only then will you managed to fix this part in his mind."
"Okay," Cyborg said. "We go in, fix his memory then boom, we fix this house."
"But be warn," Knowledge Danny continued. "If you fail to fix his mind, you will be destroyed."
"Got it," Robin said. "Let's roll."
The Titans then jumped through the tear and the next thing they knew, they were in a lab. It was similar to Danny's lab, only bigger. On the far side of the wall was a Ghost Portal. In front of it were three teenagers, two boys and a girl. The Girl looked exactly like Raven, only with black hair. The boy had dark-skinned wearing a red beret. The other boy was Danny, holding a white HAZMAT suit.
"Friend Danny!" Starfire exclaimed. She flew towards Danny and was about to hug him when she suddenly phased through him.
Confused, Starfire looked at Danny and tried to poke him. She gasped when she couldn't touch him.
"It's a memory, Starfire," Raven explained. "We don't exist here."
Robin walked towards the people, frowning.
"How come they're not moving?" Robin asked, waving his hands at the people.
"Knowledge Danny did say we have to fix this place," Cyborg said, looking around the place. "Maybe we should see what's missing in this place."
Before anyone could say more, something terrible was happening. The entire place started disappearing.
"Quick! We have to find the problem!" Cyborg exclaimed.
The Titans nodded and started frantically searching around the place, looking for something that seems broken. While searching, Beastboy noticed something about the portal.
"Guys! I found something!" Beastboy exclaimed, gesturing everyone to come.
"What'd you find, B.B.?" Cyborg asked as half the room was vanishing.
"There's a hole on the portal!" Beastboy exclaimed, pointing on the portal.
Everyone looked and saw a small tear on the portal.
"Okay, but how do we fix it?" Raven asked.
"However we do it, we better do it fast!" Robin exclaimed as the darkness almost reached them.
Cyborg studied the tear. Suddenly, his hand started glowing. Everyone stared at him with wide eyes as Cyborg looked at his hand.
"Woah," he commented as he looked at his hand before at the tear. "I am the thread…"
Cyborg placed his hand on the tear and it started closing. Just as the darkness was about to when the portal started shining brightly, causing the Titans to close their eyes.
"Okay I showed you the portal," a voice said. The Titans looked and saw the three teenagers moving. "Now can we get out of here? Besides, my parents said it doesn't work."
"Oh come one, Danny," Sam said, smiling widely, holding a camera. "A portal that goes through another dimension? Aren't you a bit excited?"
"You know what, you're right," Danny said, looking at the portal. "Besides, I always wanted to do this. Who knows what cool stuff I'll see on the other side."
The Titans watched as Danny put on the HAZMAT suit.
"Hold it," Sam said walking towards Danny. She grabbed and pulled out a grinning man's face. "You can't walk around with that on your chest…oh, wait!"
Sam ran towards the spare HAZMAT suits, grabbed a pair of scissors and started cutting something. She ran back towards Danny and slapped a black DP logo on his chest.
"Uh…what's this?" Danny asked, looking at the logo.
"What? It's cool!" Sam said, shrugging.
Danny just shrugged and walked towards the portal. The Titans watched with a sense of foreboding.
"Why do I have a bad feeling?" Robin commented.
Suddenly, the portal started humming with power.
"Friend Danny!" Starfire exclaimed as the portal activated.
Danny screamed as the Titans watched him changed from Danny Fenton to Danny Phantom. When Danny walked out the portal, everything started going fast forward. The Titans watched Danny fought ghosts, being hunted by ghost hunters, the people fearing and hating him, his parents hating his ghost half, Vlad Plasmius and all the things he did to Danny, and an explosion. Suddenly, the Titans were teleported back to Knowledge and Happy Danny.
"Welcome back, friends!" Happy Danny exclaimed as he attacked the Titans with a hug.
"It appears you have succeed," Knowledge Danny said. "Well done."
"What did we just saw?" Raven asked once Happy Danny released them.
"That was the beginning of our saga as the Phantom," Knowledge Danny replied. "For every tear you fix, you will witness the events that played a great role in his life."
"But what was that explosion?" Beastboy asked.
The two Danny's didn't answer and they avoided looking at the Titans.
"The answer will come when we are ready," Knowledge Danny replied.
"Okay, so we fixed problem number one, where's number two?" Robin asked, trying to forget the explosion.
"Happiness will lead you there," Knowledge replied. "No pun intended."
"Uh…why won't you do it, dude?" Beastboy asked, grinning.
"Because I must remain here, in case the tears will reappear," Knowledge Danny replied.
"Yay!" Happy Danny exclaimed, dancing in joy. "We get to hang out more!"
Everyone but Starfire sighed as they followed Happy Danny to the exit.
"But be warn," Knowledge Danny said, looking at the Titans. "The seed that caused this is on the loose and will try to destroy you."
"Seed?" Robin asked. "But Slade did this."
"Slade was the one that activated the seed that was planted in Danny's head," Knowledge Danny explained. "It will destroy you once it realizes what you're doing."
The Titans nodded and exited the building. Outside, the place seemed to be looking fine; the sky was repaired the ground became more solid. Behind them, Fenton Works was whole and looking sturdy.
"C'mon my friends!" Happy Danny exclaimed, skipping towards a cave. "To the next part!"
He entered the cave and the Titans reluctantly followed. There was a bright light and suddenly, the Titans found themselves in a place where broken buildings were floating on the dark sky.
"Gotham City," Robin gasped, looking at the dark sky.
"Woah," Beastboy said, looking at the place. "When I pictured myself going here, I pictured the place to be whole."
"Hello," a timid voice said. They looked and saw another Danny wearing gray and had a very sad expression.
"Timidity!" Happy Danny said as he hugged the gray Danny, who started crying. "I am so happy to see you!"
"I'm sorry!" Timid Danny cried. "I…I…I saw you guys and I thought I could help you…I'm sorry! Please don't hate!"
The Titans stared in disbelief as they looked at the two Dannys, like they were watching a stand up show.
"Please, friends," Starfire said, flying between the two Dannys. "We must fix this place of flying buildings."
"I'm sorry…" Timid Danny said. "Follow me…"
Timid Danny floated towards a broken cave entrance. The Titans followed and saw a black space, just like the last time. A giant tear was on the ceiling of the space.
"Here we are, I'm so sorry for being so slow," Timid Danny cried.
"You did fine, friend Danny of Timidity," Starfire said, smiling gently at Timid Danny.
Timid Danny stared at Starfire before crying.
"I am so sorry for having such strange feelings for someone as lovely you!" He cried, bowing down at her.
"Let's go before we see something embarrassing," Raven said as she grabbed Starfire and flew through the tear, the others following her.
There was a bright light and the Titans saw Danny, who was looking like their Danny, looking at the city on top a building, his expression determined. Behind him was the Bat Signal
"Nice view," Beastboy said, following Danny's gaze.
"We don't have time for sightseeing," Robin said, pointing at the sky. They looked up and saw the darkness devouring the stars and moons.
"Let's get to work, people!" Cyborg exclaimed. "Search for the tear and fix it!"
Everyone nodded and started searching the top of the building. Raven flew above and noticed something missing from the Bat Signal.
"Found it!" Raven exclaimed flying towards the Bat Signal. Everyone ran towards the signal and saw that it was missing the Bat part.
"Okay Cyborg, do your thing," Robin said as the darkness was almost above them.
Cyborg nodded and touched the screen. Nothing happened.
"Why isn't anything happening?" Beastboy exclaimed, watching Cyborg pressed his hand on the signal.
"I don't know?!" Cyborg exclaimed, panicking. "I'm probably out of thread!"
"Then make more!" Beastboy exclaimed as the darkness was almost near them.
"What do I look like? A silkworm?" Cyborg exclaimed.
"What are we supposed to do?" Robin asked.
Starfire suddenly gasped.
"Friend Robin, your hands are glowing!" She exclaimed, pointing at Robin's hands.
Robin looked at his hands with wide eyes. They were glowing.
"Quick!" Raven exclaimed, pointing at the Bat Signal. "Touch the Bat Signal!"
Robin quickly placed his hands on the Bat Signal as the darkness started devouring half the buildings. There was a bright light and the darkness was gone.
They turned their attention to Danny as his cape moved with the wind. They heard him sigh as he turned around.
"Late as usual, Bats," he said as Batman walked through the Titans.
"Dude, where did he come from?" Beastboy asked, looking at Batman with wide eyes.
"Is something wrong?" Batman asked as Danny sighed again.
"I wanted to talk, Batman," Danny said, looking at his mentor.
"What?" Batman asked.
Danny looked at the ground, thinking how to say it.
"I…I wanna go solo," Danny said quickly.
"Okay," Batman replied.
"Now I know I need more training, but…wait," Danny said, surprised. "Did you say okay?"
Batman turned his attention to the city, the cape flowing with the wind, his back turned on Danny.
"It's been two years since you became my protégé, and you have become stronger," Batman said, causing Danny to blush in embarrassment. "And for you to become stronger than you are now, you need to follow your own path."
Danny stood besides Batman, the Dynamic Duo looking at their home.
"It's been great, working with you, Bats," Danny mumbled, looking at the sky. "You're a great mentor…and a great father."
"And you've been a great son," Batman said, smiling a bit at Danny.
Suddenly, police cars were chasing a purple vehicle with a clown on the side.
"One last chase for old times sake?" Danny asked, looking at Batman and saw that he was already in pursuit.
"Race you," Batman said, looking at Danny.
Danny smirked and flew after Batman. Suddenly, the scene fast forward to how Danny went to Jump City and the rest they already know. There was a bright light and the Titans were back in the space.
"Dudes," Beastboy said with a dazed expression. "We met the Batman!"
"He didn't actually saw us, Beastboy," Robin said, looking at the changeling.
"But we still met him!" Beastboy exclaimed.
"I'm sorry…to interrupt," Timid Danny said, hiding behind Happy Danny. "But we need to hurry…"
"He's right," Raven said. "There's only one part left before we can fix Danny's mind."
"Then go my friends!" Happy Danny exclaimed. "I must stay here and protect this place! But first, give me a hug!"
Before the Titans could react, Happy Danny grabbed them and hugged them with all his might. He then left them go and started dancing happily.
"I'll lead you to the next part," Timid Danny said. "I'm sorry."
The Titans followed Timid Danny through the exit and saw a town with tall buildings and a whole sky.
"This way," Timid Danny said, pointing at a path near Wayne Industries.
They started walking towards the exit when something roared. They looked up and saw a green Danny attacking them. His features were like melted wax. The Titans and Timid Danny scattered as the thing attacked them.
"Hey, stop!" Robin exclaimed as the green Danny attacked. "We're trying to help you!"
"I'm sorry, but…he's not one of us," Timid Danny said, hiding behind a lamppost. "He's the reason why Danny became catatonic."
"He's the seed?" Beastboy asked, dodging the creature's attacks. "I thought he was a plant!"
"Whatever it is, we better take him down!" Cyborg exclaimed. "Titans, go!"
The Titans charged at the melting creature. Robin threw some grenades at the monster, but it suddenly opened its mouth and ate the grenades. The grenades exploded and the monster burped out the smoke.
"That is so wrong," Robin commented before the creature swatted him away. "And that hurts…"
Cyborg fired at the melting Danny, but a hole appeared on its body, causing the shot to miss. The creature then fired at Cyborg, blasting the robot teen away. Suddenly, a green T-rex appeared behind green Danny and roared at him. Suddenly, green Danny roared back. The T-rex turned into a mouse and ran towards Timid Danny.
Raven fired at green Danny and managed to catch it with two black claws. Her victory was short-lived when green Danny melted, escaping the claws. The green slime then attacked Raven, smashing her to the ground.
Just as it was about to eat her, a Starbolt hit the green slime monster, splattering it around the street. The slimes started merging together back to green Danny before it glared at Starfire.
"Halt, monster!" Starfire exclaimed, her hands glowing.
Green Danny roared and charged at Starfire, his hands becoming claws. Before it could reach Starfire, someone kicked the monster away. The person landed in front of Starfire, his hands placed on his waist, doing the good guy pose. Starfire's eyes widened when she saw that it was Danny wearing green, a confident smirk on his face.
"Not so fast, slimey!" Danny exclaimed, pointing at green Danny. I'm you're dance partner! Get ready to have your butt kick by Bravery!"
Green Danny growled before charging at Brave Danny. He sliced and smashed, but Brave Danny dodged all the attacks, not breaking a sweat. He suddenly raised his palm and a torrent of air pushed green Danny away. The melted monster growled before he flew towards the portal.
"Yeah, you better run!" Brave Danny exclaimed, taunting the green monster. He turned his attention to the others, smirking. "Nice to meet you guys. Timid, I thought I told you to stop being…you."
"I'm sorry," Timid Danny said, hiding behind Cyborg, using his bulk to hide. "But…this is how I am."
"Thanks for saving us," Robin said, rubbing his head. "What is that thing?"
"It was a clone," Brave Danny replied. "Made by the one and only coward known as Vlad Plasmius!"
"What?!" Cyborg exclaimed. "How did it get inside Danny's head?"
"It happened some time ago when we met Dani," Timid Danny replied. "It stayed here, collecting all the negative thoughts before Slade did something to wake it."
"And with you guys here, we can kick it out here!" Brave Danny exclaimed. "Onwards to battle!"
Brave Danny flew towards the portal. The Titans and Timid Danny quickly followed him and entered the portal. There was a bright light and the Titans found themselves back in Jump City, only broken. Titan's Tower was in ruins, floating in the sky.
"Welcome," a calm voice said. The Titans looked up and saw another Danny wearing blue. "I have been waiting for you."
"What's up, Calm!" Brave Danny greeted.
"I am fine, Brave," Calm Danny said. "It appears you have angered our unwelcome visitor."
"Good!" Brave Danny exclaimed. "Where is it?"
"Be patient, Brave," Calm Danny said. "Your rematch will come. But in the meantime, we have more important matters to attend to."
Calm pointed at Titan's Tower, where the last part is. He led everyone there and opened the door. They entered the tower and saw a giant tear on the floor.
"You must hurry," Calm Danny said, looking calm. "Now that the seed knows you're here, he will cause more damage."
"And we'll look for him!" Brave Danny exclaimed, throwing his arm around Timid Danny. "Onward, my companion!"
"I'm sorry, but I don't want to!" Timid Danny cried as Brave Danny dragged him towards the exit. Brave Danny waved before they exited the building.
"Alright, let's go!" Cyborg exclaimed. The Titans jumped through the tear.
There was a bright light and the Titans found themselves in Danny's lab. They saw Danny sitting on the floor, crying. Around them, the darkness was so close, only a small circle was left.
"Okay Titans!" Cyborg exclaimed. "Find what's broken so we can fix it! And find if fast!"
"There is no need, friend Cyborg," Starfire said, walking towards Danny. "I know what is missing here."
"What?" Beastboy asked, looking at Starfire.
Starfire kneeled down in front of Danny and touched his face. There was a bright light and Danny started sobbing. Everyone watched as Starfire comforted Danny.
"It is not your fault, friend Danny," Starfire said in a comforting tone.
"Yes it is, Starfire," Danny cried, looking at Starfire as tears leaked through his mask. "Because of my weakness and selfishness, my family and friends paid the ultimate price. They're all gone because of me."
Starfire suddenly wrapped her arms around Danny, surprising the young halfa.
"Please do not cry," Starfire said gently. "I am here and I will not leave you. I promise, friend Danny."
Danny stared at her, looking at her eyes. Suddenly, Danny leaned closer to Starfire and their lips touched.
It suddenly fast forward to Danny fighting Slade and how Slade forced Danny to become his apprentice, how Danny stole and fought his friends, and finally, the fight with Slade. Suddenly, there was a cracking sound and the Titans were back in the black space, Calm Danny meditating.
"Congratulations," Calm Danny said, looking at the Titans. "You have fixed all three parts."
"Oh yeah!" Beastboy exclaimed, dancing. "Uh huh, we did it. We fixed it. Oh yeah!"
"Now we can go home, right?" Robin asked, looking at Raven.
"There's something wrong," Raven said, looking concerned. "Danny hasn't woken yet."
"Because your mission is not yet over," Calm Danny said, walking towards them.
"What?" Cyborg asked in disbelief. "How come? We fixed all three parts."
"You still need to do one more thing," Calm Danny.
"And what is that, Calm Danny?" Starfire asked, looking at the blue clad Danny.
"You must rescue Danny before he is defeated," Calm Danny said, leading the Titans towards the exit.
"Rescue him?" Cyborg said as they followed Calm Danny towards the exit.
"From who?" Beastboy asked.
Jump City and Titan's Tower were repaired. In the distance, they could see Brave Danny fighting the green Danny.
"From himself," Calm Danny replied, pointing at another portal. "He is now fighting his greatest enemy…and he is losing."
"You must help him before he is defeated," Calm Danny continued. "I would lead you there myself, but someone must protect the tower."
"So I'll have to do it," an angry voice said. The Titans turned around and saw a different Danny. He hair was spiky and instead of the DP logo, a skull was on his chest. He was wearing a red version of the outfit.
"Meet Anger," Calm Danny said. "He is the embodiment of Danny's angers."
"Which makes me the most powerful," Anger Danny said, huffing. "Let's just get this over with."
Anger Danny started floating towards the exit, the Titans hurriedly following him. On the way, Angry Danny keeps kicking at random stuff that was on his way, muttering about a 'stupid Fruitloop'.
"Boy, what's his problem?" Beastboy muttered to the others.
"Okay, we're here," Angry Danny said, glaring at the Titans. "Now go. I better help that idiot Brave."
"Thank you, Angry Danny," Starfire said, smiling sweetly at the angry halfa.
"You know what I hate about you," Angry Danny said, glaring at Starfire. "I hate how pretty you are! Now get going."
Suddenly, Brave Danny landed in front of them, making a crater on the ground. Timid Danny floated right behind him.
"I'm sorry, Brave…" Timid Danny said. "But…I can't fight."
Brave Danny suddenly jumped from the crater. He shook the dust of his body and grinned.
"Is that all you got, greeny?" Brave Danny exclaimed before Angry Danny whacked him on the head.
"Idiot!" He growled. "Leave the fighting to me!"
"No way, Anger," Brave Danny said, smirking. "This guy's mine!"
Angry Danny growled before he glared at the Titans.
"Well? Get going!" He growled.
The Titans hastily ran towards the portal. As they entered it, green Danny landed in front of Angry, Brave and Timid Danny.
"No bugs allowed, creep!" Angry Danny exclaimed as he and Brave Danny charged at green Danny.
Meanwhile, the Titans were teleported in a battlefield.
"Woah," Robin commented, eyes wide.
Buildings were in ruins, fire was roaring everywhere, dark clouds shrouded the sky and on the center, Danny was kneeling on the ground, covered with wounds and burns. In front of him was a ghost with light-blue skin and fiery white hair, wearing a black and white HAZMAT suit with the DP logo on his chest. He was sneering at Danny with red cruel eyes filled with wicked glee.
"Face it, boy," the ghost said as he kicked Danny in the gut, causing him to slide on the ground. "You cannot defeat me."
"Yes…I…will!" Danny exclaimed as he fired at the evil ghost. The ghost just swatted the attack back at Danny, blasting the young ghost.
"Why bother fighting, Danny," the ghost said, stepping on Danny's chest. "We both know that you will become me in the future. Why delay the inevitable?"
"I won't become you, Dan," Danny said as he tried to stand up. "I will never become you. I promised my family-"
"And yet here I am," Dan said, causing Danny to freeze. "Face it Danny, you will become me. Look, you're already changing."
Danny's eyes widened as he looked at a piece of glass next to him. His skin slowly turned light-blue, his ears turned pointy, his teeth slowly turning into fangs and his hair became fire.
"No…" Danny cried, clutching his head.
"Yes, Danny," Dan said as the mask fell from Danny's face. Danny's eyes slowly turned from green to red.
"That's our signal to go," Cyborg said, his arm turning into a cannon. "Titans, go!"
The Titans charged and Cyborg fired his sonic cannon at Dan, blasting the ghost away. Beastboy turned into a rhino and rammed the ghost away. Robin jumped over the green rhino and threw grenades at the staggering ghost. As the boys were fighting the ghost, Starfire and Raven flew towards Danny, who was slowly disappearing.
"Friend Danny!" Starfire exclaimed as he shook the dazed halfa. "Please out with the snap!"
"It's too late," Danny whispered in a dead tone. "I failed. I'm sorry…"
"You haven't failed yet," Raven said as she healed Danny, but her magic couldn't heal him. "We can help you."
"Go away, please," Danny said as he tried to back away from his friends. "I'll only hurt you."
Suddenly, Cyborg, Beastboy and Robin were blown towards them. Dan floated above them, not a scratch on him.
"The Teen Titans," Dan said, sneering at them. "How nice to see you again. Too bad I have to destroy you again."
Dan was about to fire when Raven suddenly used her to blast the ghost away. Starfire followed the attack by firing a large Starbolt and the ghost. There was a huge explosion and Dan was surrounded by green smoke.
"Nice try," Dan said as he dusted his outfit, not a mark on him. Suddenly, he fired at the two girls, blasting them to the grounds. "But I am inevitable!"
Suddenly, he looked and saw the three Titan boys charging at him. He waved his hand and the Titans suddenly froze in midair.
"Dude!" Beastboy exclaimed, struggling.
"I can't move!" Cyborg exclaimed, trying to move.
"Let us go!" Robin demanded.
"Now for the others," Dan said, waving his hand at Raven and Starfire. The two girls started floating towards the others and soon, all five heroes were in Dan's mercy.
"It's time to destroy you, again," Dan said as green electricity coursed though the Titans.
They started screaming in pain as Dan shocked them. Danny looked up, his red eyes started shining with little green light.
"No…" Danny said, looking down. "I caused too much trouble. They're better off without me."
"Do you really think that?" a voice said. He looked behind him and saw another Danny, clad in white clothing. "Do you really think they're better off without you? You're their leader."
"I'm no leader, I'm a monster," Danny cried. "I screwed up."
"Remember what I said," White Danny said. "Everyone screws up. They should just forget about it."
"Why?" Danny asked in a pleading tone. "What is left for me to fight for?"
"Must I really answer that?" White Danny said, pointing at the Titans.
Danny looked and saw that his friends…his family was in trouble. Danny then looked at White Danny, his eyes turning back to its green color. White Danny smiled and extended a hand towards Danny, who grabbed.
Dan was laughing maniacally as the Titans screamed in pain. Suddenly, a bright light behind him caught his attention. He turned around and saw Danny Phantom standing majestically with the light. The young halfa suddenly fired at Dan, blasting him away.
The Titans fell on the ground as Dan hit the wall. The Titans stared at Danny and could feel the warmth from the light around him. Danny then smiled at his friends, looking like his old self.
"Miss me, guys?" Danny asked as the Titans stood up.
"Friend Danny!" Starfire exclaimed, tackling him to a hug.
"Dude! You're back!" Beastboy cheered, following Starfire's lead.
"Booyah!" Cyborg cheered.
"Good to have you back, Danny," Robin said, grinning.
Raven smiled, happy to know Danny is back.
"Hate to interrupt this happy reunion," Dan said as he stood up. "But it's time to die."
He fired at the Titans when a shield suddenly appeared around them, surprising Dan. The blast suddenly went back to Dan, hitting him on the chest. Dan looked at Danny, shocked.
"Sorry, Dan," Danny said as he walked away from his friends. "But you're time is up!"
Danny took a deep breath and released his Ghostly Wail. Dan was pushed back by the attack and tried to counter, but Danny just added more power to the attack.
"No! No! No!" Dan exclaimed as he started changing. "I will not lose again to you!"
"Sorry, brother," White Danny said as he appeared above Danny. "But good will always win against evil.
"No!" Dan said. Suddenly, a black light surrounded Dan and he turned into Danny wearing black. He opened his eyes, revealing nothing but black.
"I will be back!" Dark Danny exclaimed as he vanished in the air. "And darkness will rule your heart!"
"Don't count on it," Danny said, smirking.
Suddenly, the entire place started fixing itself and the heroes found themselves in a city.
"Nice job," a voice said.
The Titans turned around and saw Danny's emoti-clones floating in front of them. They landed in front of them as Happy Danny danced towards them.
"What happened to the seed?" Cyborg asked.
"He became a puddle of slime," Anger Danny replied in an angry voice. "Serves that bug right!"
"I am so happy you succeed, my friends!" Happy Danny exclaimed, hugging them to death. "I hope to see you guys soon!"
Happy Danny suddenly entered Danny's body. Knowledge Danny walked towards Danny.
"It is good to see you well," he said as he entered Danny's body.
"I'm sorry, but I need to go in," Timid Danny said as he entered Danny's body.
"Wait for me, comrade!" Brave Danny exclaimed, following Timid. "Time to fight some evil!"
Calm Danny entered Danny's body in a calmly fashion followed by Anger Danny, who just huffed. Soon, other emoti-clones entered Danny and soon, White Danny was left.
"Thank you," Danny said, smiling at White Danny.
"I only showed you what you already know, young hero," White Danny said as he entered Danny's body.
Danny smiled as he felt a warm feeling inside him. Then he turned around and smiled at his team and family.
"Let's go home, guys," he said.
Suddenly, a portal appeared in front of them. Everyone entered the portal, except Danny, who looked back at the city. On the end of the street, his friends and family was smiling at him. Danny gave a small smile before he followed his friends back home.
Titan's Tower…
The sun was rising as Titans were in their living room, watching Cyborg studying Beastboy's bloodstream.
"Am I done yet?" Beastboy asked, his voice muffled by the mask on his face. His entire body was covered with wires, mechanics and scanners.
Cyborg looked at the scanner before smiling.
"That's it, y'all," he said, looking at his team. "The Teen Titans are officially probe-free."
Beastboy cheered as he pulled of the things around him and started dancing.
"Go Beastboy, you're probeless, no probes now," he sang as he danced.
Everyone, except Raven, smirked as they watched Beastboy celebrate.
"Um…I know this isn't my style," Raven suddenly said. "But we just kicked Slade's butt and saved Danny. Shouldn't we…celebrate, or something?"
Danny, Cyborg and Robin stared at her in disbelief until Beastboy landed on Cyborg's shoulders, grinning.
"Yeah!" He exclaimed as he and Cyborg grinned at each other.
"An all you can eat-" Cyborg exclaimed.
"Free form- Beastboy continued.
"Breakfast explosion!" They exclaimed, jumping around.
"Hey, you asked," Robin chuckled as Cyborg grabbed him and Raven and dashed towards the kitchen with Beastboy behind him.
Danny smirked as he watched his friends celebrate before he turned his attention to Starfire, who was sitting on the sofa.
"You okay there, Star?" Danny asked, sitting next to Starfire with a concern look.
"I…am sorry," Starfire said, surprising Danny.
"I'm the one who should be sorry, Star," Danny said. "In fact, I should be thanking you guys for saving me."
"Yes, when things were bad, there was moment when I truly believed you have become…like Slade," Starfire said, looking down. "I doubted you. And for that, I am sorry."
She looked up when Danny placed a hand on her shoulder, looking at her with an understanding expression.
"I doubted myself, Star," he said as he looked out the window and saw the sun rising. "There was time when I actually admitted that I'm like Slade. And I hate to admit it, but him and me are a lot alike…"
"But there's one thing I have and Slade doesn't," Danny continued, smiling at Starfire, who was looking at him. "And that's you guys."
Danny suddenly stood up and offered a hand to Starfire.
"Now c'mon," he said, laughing. "Let's eat. I'm starving!"
Starfire took his hand, smiling, and the two walked towards the party, where Raven was leaning on the counter and Robin was watching Cyborg and Beastboy fight about tofu-waffles.
I will never become like Slade, Plasmius or Dan, Danny thought as he looked at his friends. I promise…
The End…For now…
Hope you enjoyed the epilogue. Sorry if it's confusing. Anyway, the first series is almost over! Just one more special chapter! By the way, what time is it? It's review time!
nightmaster000- Thanks. Hope this chapter greater than the last.
phantom000- I will. But be warn, this is the second last update. Oh and thanks!
The Keepers of the Worlds- Minefield…good one!
Justus80- Yes, it will. It will bring Danny closer to them, especially Raven, in a brotherly fashion, of course.
Kaybugg1- Don't worry, he's all right!
princessbinas- Nah. Though that would make a good, comic relief fanfic…
Kingdom Hearts Slayer- I wish I could, but it's almost over.
Nehamee- Of course he's okay. The main characters are…sometimes okay.
aliceelric7- I promise to make a sequel! Authors' honor!
newboy- Yes they will, from his origin to his little make out session with Starfire. And Vlad better watch out, cause he just made the Titans' personal black list.
Okay, before I go, let me remind you to ask some questions for the final special chapter! Now go to bed, brush your teeth, do your homework and leave a review. See you later!
