It was the next day and Eryn and Lucy both had a lie in. Zoe eventually woke the girls up at 11 o'clock.
"Come on girls" Zoe shouted and the girls got up soon later. They went down the stairs and started making their breakfast and Zoe came down after having a shower.
"Good girls" Zoe said giving them both a kiss on the head. The girls continued to eat their breakfast while Zoe sat with them drinking her coffee.
"So what do you fancy doing today?" Zoe asked them.
"Can we go shopping for a bit and then maybe like have movie afternoon" Eryn said and Zoe nodded.
"Yeah, that sounds good" Zoe said.
"I don't want to go shopping" Lucy complained.
"It won't be for long" Zoe said and Lucy just huffed. The girls disappeared up the stairs to get changed and Zoe went into her room to get changed.
Lucy wondered into Eryn's room.
"Erz, I can't go shopping what if I leak? What if Mum comes in the changing room with me?" Lucy said and Eryn looked at her sister.
"I thought you said it was finished" Eryn said.
"I thought I was but then it started again this morning and it's all over my jammy bottoms." Lucy said getting a bit upset.
"Hey, it's okay. Don't worry. Look, mum has given me new pads. Do you know how to put them on?" Eryn asked handing one to Lucy.
"Em, I don't know if I put it on correctly" Lucy said.
"Okay, let's go to the bathroom and get you sorted" Eryn said as they walked to the bathroom and Eryn let Lucy get sorted while she looked at the wall. Once Lucy was sat on the toilet Eryn went and helped her. She showed her how to put the bad on correctly.
"Thank you for this Eryn" Lucy said quietly.
"It's okay" Eryn said and they both washed their hands and went into Lucy's room.
"Are you going to talk to Mum?" Eryn asked and Lucy shrugged her head.
"I don't want to but" Lucy said.
"The quicker you tell her then the easier it will be" Eryn said.
"I don't know" Lucy said.
"Come on sweetie" Eryn said.
"I'll see, it depends how I feel later" Lucy said and Eryn nodded.
"Go and get changed and we'll talk again later" Eryn said and Lucy nodded.
Lucy changed into black layered crochet shorts and a tightish white printed vest top. She knew that she had a pad on but was still nervous about leaking so wanted to wear dark bottoms just incase.
Lucy walked down the stairs to see Eryn sitting at the kitchen table. She was wearing denim shorts and a white long sleeved gypsy crop top. Lucy instantly felt jealous of her sister. Eryn always looked so good, she always looked grown up while Lucy still looked like a baby.
Zoe was soon ready and all of them jumped into the car. They quickly arrived at the shopping centre and they decided to have lunch first as it was nearly 1 o'clock. They went to Subway and all sat down to eat and chatted happily while they eat.
They then decided to go shopping. They went to New Look first and the girls got new shorts for the summer.
"Oh my god, these bras are so cute" Eryn said looking through for her size.
"Thank god, they do my size" Eryn said holding some.
"Why would you want theses ones when you can get a proper bra from the adult section" Lucy asked.
"Because these are so cute" Eryn said and Lucy rolled her eyes. They got some more clothes before deciding to go home.
They got back home and it was after 4 o'clock. So they decided that they would just have a movie night.
The girls and Zoe got changed into their jammies and went down the stairs with a duvet. They cuddled up on the sofa all squeezed on one.
"Mum, I think Lucy has something to tell you" Eryn said knowing that unless she starts it Lucy won't say anything.
"No I don't" Lucy said.
"Lucy, just tell her" Eryn said and Zoe looked between her two girls.
"Lucy, what's wrong?" Zoe asked. Lucy looked like she was about to cry.
"Eryn, can you go into the kitchen and make drinks or something" Zoe said just wanting Lucy to be on her own. Eryn sighed and dramatically walked out the room.
"Come on baby, what's going on?" Zoe asked and Lucy just burst into tears. Zoe held her daughter in her arms until she had calmed down.
"Sweetie, please tell me what's wrong? You are really worrying me now" Zoe said.
"It doesn't matter, it's not important" Lucy sobbed out.
"Baby, if you are this upset about it, then it is important" Zoe said.
"I don't know how to tell you" She said now her sobs had gone to whimpers.
"Just say it" Zoe said.
"I've started" Lucy said and Zoe just looked at her.
"What do you mean?" She asked completely unsure what her daughter was on about.
"Bleeding" Lucy said and suddenly it clicked.
"When did you start your period?" Zoe asked.
"On Wednesday" Lucy said.
"Why didn't you say anything?" Zoe asked and Lucy shrugged.
"I couldn't" Lucy said.
"Come here" Zoe said pulling Lucy onto her knee holding her like a baby. She rocked her baby in her arms. She couldn't believe Lucy hadn't told her straight away, even Eryn went to her straight away. What was she doing wrong?
"Are you angry" Lucy asked quietly.
"No baby, I'm a little upset that you didn't feel you could talk to me about it though" Zoe said putting a strand of hair behind Lucy's ear.
"I'm really sorry" Lucy said her lip starting to bubble again.
"Baby, don't cry. You have told me now and that's all that matters. Why did you tell Eryn?" Zoe asked.
"She found out yesterday" Lucy said.
"Did you tell anyone on Wednesday?" Zoe asked and Lucy shook her head.
"So what did you use?" Zoe asked.
"Just toilet paper, and I stole one pad from Eryn's room. That's how she found out, well she just guessed it was me that stole it" Lucy said.
"Oh that's horrible. Listen, I always keep some in my bedroom which were especially for when you start so you don't need to use horrible toilet paper" Zoe said and Lucy nodded.
"Come up the stairs with me" Zoe said as she helped her daughter stand up and they disappeared up the stairs.
They walked into Zoe's room and she got Lucy some pads.
"Do you know how to put them on" Zoe asked and Lucy nodded.
"Eryn, showed me" Lucy said and Zoe nodded. It felt strange this time, with Eryn she felt they bonded over Eryn starting but with Lucy it just showed how separate their relationship was.
"Are you feeling okay?" Zoe asked and Lucy nodded.
"Did you have any cramps or anything" Zoe asked and Lucy shook her head. She found this really awkward.
"You are lucky then" Zoe said smiling trying to make light of the situation slightly. Lucy just dodged them.
"Shall we go and watch a film then" Zoe asked and Lucy nodded. They walked back into the living room and Zoe sat down where she had previously been but Lucy went onto the other sofa by herself.
"What's up with her?" Eryn asked snidely.
"Leave her alone" Zoe said. They put the film on and then Zoe ordered pizza. After they ate, Zoe could tell Lucy was starting to get tired.
"Come and get a cuddle Luc" Zoe said and Lucy shook her head.
"Just because you are a woman now doesn't mean you don't still need hugs" Eryn said and Lucy just glared at her before darting up to her room. Zoe closed her eyes and sighed.
"Lucy, come back her" She called but the girl didn't come down.
"She'll come down soon" Eryn said and they carried on watching the rest of the film. They went to put a new film on so Eryn went to see if Lucy was coming down.
"Come on, Lucy" Eryn moaned. Lucy sighed and realised she was not going to get out of it unless she went down. She sighed and walked down the stairs.
Zoe patted the area next to her and Lucy went and sat next to her.
"Please just relax baby, it doesn't change anything" Zoe said and Lucy just sunk into Zoe.
"We are going to have to have a proper chat about it but don't worry about it for just now" Zoe said and Lucy nodded. Zoe decided to wait for a bit until Lucy was more relaxed and less emotional before trying to have a grown up conversation about it.
They watched the rest of the film and then the girls all went up to bed. Zoe followed not look after and looked in on her children. She realised how little Lucy still looked in bed and decided to go and give her a hug. However once she was down in the bed she drifted off to sleep and ended up spending the night in Lucy's bed.
