Disclaimer: Still don't own…
AN: I'll be trying to update once a week from now on, but still, trying. There will be weeks I won't make that. But I'll try ;) Thanks to Emmax101 and Ishani for reviewing, and everyone who has faved/followed this story. A lot of thanks go to PI-Valkyrie-exLorien for being my beta ;). I've got 44 favourites and 55 follows, can you believe it?!
Well, I wrote this weeks ago, actually 4 days after the last update, but I wasn't satisfied, and I thought: 'I'll improve it later,' which become a lot later… Sorry!

Jade thought of that when she was sitting in the stands, waiting for the players to arrive. She was too early, but no surprise there. Daisy had been talking about this day for a week now, she was really too enthusiastic at times. She was also talking about how much of a dick Snape was for over a week. Even though Jade didn't like it when people spoke ill of others behind their backs, she silently agreed with Daisy. And she wanted that book back.

The first Quidditch match of the season was Slytherin versus Gryffindor. Most people favoured Gryffindor, only the Slytherins and some of the Hufflepuffs were dressed in green. Hardly anyone wore other colours than red or green, and most of those were the teachers, and the referee, of course. The first goal was for the Gryffindors. So was the second, and the third. You could see the Slytherins were getting gloomier and gloomier with each goal, while the Gryffindors couldn't believe their luck. Daisy said the Gryffindors hadn't won in years, and Slytherin usually won. The Slytherins were very good, and had the Quaffle most of the time, but just didn't manage to score. They were growing more desperate, and they stopped at almost nothing to get the Quaffle back. Madam Hooch had to tell them off a few times, and eventually called some of their moves fouls. A few minutes after the second foul, the Slytherin beater directed a Bludger at one of the chasers. She tried to avoid it, but dropped the Quaffle. Marcus Flint, the Slytherin captain, caught it in one hand, and managed to get past the other Bludger, and a Gryffindor, before passing the Quaffle over to Adrian Pucey, another Slytherin chaser, who passed Katie Bell and Angelina Johnson, and scored the first goal of the match for Slytherin. They supporters dressed in green cheered loudly, but Daisy groaned: 'I really hope that was their last goal and that they lose. It would be great if Malfoy didn't walk around with such a smug look on his face.'
'Tell me about it,' Jade agreed, 'he always thinks he's better than the others, because his parents got a lot of money. But money isn't that important. Sure, you need it to buy food and clothes, but I'd rather be good in classes than have a lot of money, because it's more useful. Money isn't going to make things fly, right?'

Loud cheering called their attention back to the game. The snitch was spotted, and both seekers were in hot pursue, and the Gryffindor chaser was a lot closer. Everyone was at the edge of their seats, was it finally going to happen? Would Slytherin be defeated for once? The Gryffindor seeker was really close now, he stretched his hand, he was only 2 inches away, 1 inch, and out of nowhere, there was Flint. The Gryffindor seeker couldn't avoid him anymore, and crashed into him. The snitch was gone again, but the Gryffindors did get a penalty. They were so mad however, that the one who took it missed by several meters. The thought of almost winning from Slytherin, and to have that chance taken away from them by the last second, left a sour taste in their mouths. This was easily noticeable in their play, they were angry, and threw the Quaffle too hard, dropped it, and generally were less attentive. The Gryffindor seeker seemed to have some pain from the collision with Flint, and when the snitch was spotted again, he had no chance of getting it before Terence Higgs, the Slytherin seeker, did, and what felt to almost everyone like a great match because Slytherin would finally be defeated for once, ended in what felt like a cold shower.

AN: And now I need to go again… Sorry! And sorry for having Slytherin win, but without Harry, they're just not that good…
And I need a name for that seeker; does anyone know who the Gryffindor seeker was before Harry? Because I can't keep calling him the Gryffindor seeker…
