Prompt: Liv and Kat go to 6 flags (Follow up of Chapter 9 and 22)

Age: 15

"Smile mom," Kat grinned at her mother. "We don't get to come here a lot and we are going to ride one of the best rides in this park."

Olivia Benson turned to glare at her daughter. "How can I smile? We're going to sit front row seats to a ride that has a very steep fall. Not only that but we have to go on it twice. "

"One of the reasons to smile," the teen winked at her mother before moving up the line with the rest of the people until they came to a stop. Kat noticed that one of the workers had stopped the people in front of Kat and Olivia. "At least we are almost there."

"I can hardly wait," Olivia says sarcastically.

Kat snorted and shook her head. "But you got to admit that we are having fun."

Liv glanced at her daughter and smiled softly. "Yes, we are."

They moved up the line and they guy that worked there smiled at them. "How many people?"

"Two," Kat smiled back. "But can we get the first row, please?"

"You would have gotten to first row anyway," the man said. "Enjoy the ride."

"We will," Kat grinned, grasping her mother's hand and directing her to the first row. There were four people in front of them and Kat couldn't help but jump in excitement.

Olivia smiled when she saw her daughter how happy she was. Despite the fear settling on the detective's stomach because it was almost their turn for the ride. "I don't know why you like this ride."

"It's all about the speed and drop," Kat explained to her mother.

"So this is your favorite ride?" A guy asked Kat, who had overheard part of the conversation. He was standing in the second row and looked to be in his early twenties. His eyes were light blue and his hair dark as night. He was rather buff and had a light tan.

"One of my favorites," Kat smiled at him, she glanced on the left when she heard the train leave with cheering passengers. The teen looked back at the guy and smiled again. "My other favorite is Superman. But sadly is closed today."

Olivia narrowed her eyes on the guy that was talking to Kat. She stood a bit closer to her daughter. Kat noticed but didn't say anything.

"Yeah, that does suck!" The man nodded. He extended his hand towards Kat with a charming grin. "The name is Gerald."

Kat shook his hand briefly. "Kathryn."

"I like your name," Gerald smiled, moving closer to Kat as his eyes roamed the teen's figure. He looked at her chest longer than necessary. "Do you think that maybe—"

"She's fifteen, Gerald," Liv coldly said, taking a step closer to the young man. "Not to mention that her mother works for the NYPD."

Gerald took step back and his eyes widen slightly. "I'm sorry ma'am I didn't know."

The guy's friends started to snickered at Gerald's expression. With one last look at Kat, he turned around to continue to talk to his buddies.

Kat rolled her eyes and turned to look at her mom. "You didn't have to do that, mom."

"Yes, I did," Olivia looked at her daughter. "He was flirting at you and—"

"—And he was also kept staring at my chest for a long time," Kat raised an eyebrow. "I could have handled it. It's not the first time a guy has tried to flirt with me. Or stare at my chest."

Olivia narrowed her eyes again. "How many—"

"It doesn't matter," the teen shrugged. "But I always tell them that I'm not interested. And if words don't work and keep bothering me, then a punch or slap will do the trick," Kat bluntly said.

Olivia blinked but then she smirked at her daughter. She pulled her into a side hug and rubbed her hand up and down on Kat's arm. "That's my girl."

Kat laughed and patted her mom on the back. "I'm a Benson after all."

Olivia tensed again when she heard the train come back. Some of the riders were either clapping or cheering.

"Welcome back guys!" The woman operating the ride cheerfully said. "Hope you had fun on the ride. Have a wonderful time for the rest of your day at Six Flags."

The bars popped open and the riders started to climb out the ride. Seconds later the little gate opened and Kat and a reluctant Olivia walked towards the train. Kat walked over to put her mini backpack in the safe zone with a few other riders and walked back to sit next to her mother. She gladly hoped in and pulled back the safety bar.

While she waited for the ride attendants to check everything is alright. The teen glanced at her mother and noticed how slightly pale she looked. "If you don't want to do this mom, we don't have to."

"I want to do this," Liv glanced at her daughter.

"I was joking about you been old," Kat frowned. "You know that, right?"

"I know," Liv smiled slightly. "And you will also know that I don't back down from a deal."

Kat chuckled. "Yeah, I know."

"We are all set!" The woman that was operating the ride cheerfully said. "Remember to keep hands and feet on the train the whole time. And please no flashing. We had to block a few pictures recently because people tend to flash at the camera. Other than that…enjoy the ride!"

The train move forward and people started cheering.

"Finally!" Gerald shouted.

Kat rolled her eyes but couldn't help to agree. They have waited an hour and a half to ride this ride. Kat started to bounce her feet anxiously when they started to go up the hill.

"I'm so excited," Kat sang as she looked at her mom with a big grin on her face. "I just can hide it."

"Kathryn Benson now is not the time to sing that song!" Olivia growled at her daughter.

"Yes it is," Kat tapped excitedly on the safety bar. Seeing her mother taking deep breaths, the teen grasped one of her mother's hands.

Olivia closed her eyes and tightened her hold on Kat's hand. "I swear that this is the last time I will make a deal like this!"

Kat laughed and turned her attention to tracks of the ride in front of her. They were really close to the top. She was about to do something that there was a great chance will kill her by the end of the ride. Kat glanced back and noticed a few riders had their hands up.

"We're all going to die!" A guy shouted from the back.

"Don't say shit like that man!" The woman next to the guy that shouted hit him on the shoulder.

Kat chuckled and squeezed her mother's hand in reassurance that everything was going to be fine. She felt the train slightly slow down so she turned her attention back to the front. She felt her mother gripped more tightly on her hand. Before the train went down, Kat raised her hands up, even the one that was holding her mother's hand.

"WOOOO!" Kat yelled as they went down.

Olivia tried to take her hand out of her daughter's grip the moment Kat raised them up so she could grasp the safety bar. But no avail. Her eyes shot open and she regretted that as well. She hated having her eyes open and arms up in the air during a ride. She never understood why someone would do that.

"Oh shit!" Olivia shouted, as they went down.

Kat laughed and kept on yelling enthusiastically as they went up again. This time she let go of her mother's hand. "That's what the young people do mom!"

"Well fuck that!"

Kat kept laughing as they went down again. For the rest of the ride, Kat kept her hands up in the air and screamed enthusiastically with the rest of the riders. Her mother kept her eyes closed and a tight hold on the safety bar.

Too soon for Kat, the ride slows down at it makes its way back. Kat fixed her hair and glanced at her mother. She started to laugh again when she saw her mother's hair was tousled. "Nice hair. That was fun."

Olivia opened her eyes and glared at her daughter. "No it wasn't." She started to fix her hair and grumbled lowly about the ride messing up her hair.

"I'm sorry for putting your hand up in the air," Kat said to her mother, still laughing slightly.

Liv knew that her daughter didn't mean it at all. "You planned it didn't you? You wanted me to open my eyes the moment we went down."

Kat smirked, "Maybe."

The detective let her head rest back on the cushion and let out a huff. "I swear you are trying to take me to my grave early."

Kat shook her head but still had a big grinned on her face. "Oh lighten up mom. It's just a ride."

Olivia scoffed as they made it back inside, "Just a ride? Yeah, right."

The ride operator greeted them and told them the same thing she told the others. Kat hoped off and helped her shaky mother get off. She grabbed her mini backpack and left to the exit with the others. She was still grasping her mother's hand and let the detective sit on one of the nearby metal chairs.

"Let me just catch my breath before we get on it again."

"Oh we are not going to get on it."

Olivia frowned to look at her daughter. "The deal was to ride El Toro twice. Front row."

"Oh we will," Kat's lips curled up into a smirk. "We're going to get on it at night before we go get funnel cakes."

The detective let out a sigh of relief but tensed again. They were going to ride it again but during the night. Her daughter was definitely trying to push her closer to the grave. She took out the park map from one of the back pockets of her jeans. "Fine then. Which ride should we go on next? I'm sure it can't be worse than El Toro."

Kat grabbed her mother's hand and led her to the next ride she had on her mind. "Kingda Ka."

"I spoke to soon," Olivia groaned as she let her daughter lead the way.

The teen grinned at her mother. "This time we'll sit on the back."
