Abanding battle is not something Sesshomaru would have ever done before this day. He sped away from the fight to a call much stronger than enemy blood.

His mate's blood.

He stopped, coming into the clearing that held the well, Inuyasha not far behind him.

She screamed his name again and he, the great Lord Sesshomaru flinched.

"What the hell are you waiting on go down and get her stupid!" His brother's annoying voice woke him and with heavy footsteps he made his way to the well and then down.
He landed with on knee to the ground "Miko."

She grabbed hold of him and yanked "What the hell have you done!" She yelled both in anger and in pain. He looked down at her swollen belly and in inhaled, forgetting that it was raining. "You are in labor." He placed his hands under her and lifted her and jumped from the well.

"Kagome!" Inuyasha rushed forward, but Kagome could not even look at him "What have you done!" She kept asking over and over.

Sesshomaru looked down at her as another contraction pushed through her, and he to wondered what had he done?

The only thing he knew for sure is his baby was coming and now. "Come Inuyasha"

With that, he took off, and she clutched to him as if her life depended on him. He burst through Kaede's old hut and laid her down.

"Where is Kaede" She cried,

"Long dead Miko, you have been gone a long time" He started to undo her clothing as Inuyasha walked in. Sesshomaru turned and glared "Get out."

Inuyasha snorted "So just like that hu?"

Sesshomaru growled, and Inuyasha threw his hands up and back out.

"Sesshomaru"

He quickly looked back at her "What are you doing?"

"The baby comes Miko are you to deliver it yourself?"

"Why did you send me back here?!"

He ripped the rest of her clothing and pushed her legs apart. Kagome arched and screamed as he put one finger in "He is coming, I can feel his head. you need to push."
Kagome breathed, and when another contraction hit her, she gripped old dirty sheets and pushed. Sesshomaru watched as his son's head appear slightly.

Kagome fell back and tried to catch her breath "It hurts!" Everything hurt. Her head, her body, her heart. He was reacting as well. His eyes were pink "Again Miko" He knew another wave was coming. Kagome gripped again, pushed up on elbows and pushed. She screamed as the pain went through her, this time the babies head came out. "Your son will be here soon Miko."

She cried.

He rubbed her belly with his hand, feeling her. It calmed her heart rate like he knew it would "Again Miko, once more" He moved his hand down and touched the crown on his sons head, his hair was black as night.

Another wave of pain, she inhaled and then screamed.

Sesshomaru grabbed his son as Kagome birthed him into the world. Her screams faded as their child took his first breath of air. But he didn't cry, and Kagome became scared "Sesshomaru?" She looked at him panicked.

Sesshomaru growled and busted the room with demonic power, and soon the room was filled with a new cry.

Their sons.

A blind new power broke through the room and made waves over the land. It made every demon and ever Miko alike pause is fear.

Sesshomaru pulled his son close and stared at him wide-eyed.

Kagome laid back with tears slowly falling from her eyes "What have you done?" She asked again.

Sesshomaru looked at her, and for the first time, she saw emotion in his eyes, though she didn't know what emotion it was.

"The question is not what I have done miko, but what you will do"

She swallowed, her mouth dry.

"What?"

He moved and knelt beside her and laid the baby next to her. Kagome turned slowly on her side, and the baby found her breast and began to suck. She smiled weakly at the small infant with pointy black dog ears. She rubbed his black hair "He is beautiful" She looked at Sesshomaru who was staring hotly at her.

"What?"

He was silent for a moment "Will you leave me?" He asked, and it made her belly flop "I didn't want to leave in the first place."

He moved, resting his head against hers, then his nose ran down the length of hers and then after a slightly second guess pause his lips met with hers.

"I fell in love with you in the future" She whispered,

He looked down at their new son. Not a half breed but with half breed physical traits.

"What did you do?" She asked again,

"It is simple Miko."

Their eyes met "I to fell in love."

"With power?" She asked,

His eyes never wavered from her "Yes, a dark-haired, defiant power Miko."

He sealed her mouth with another kiss and closed his eyes. He knew now what he had done. He had lived without her, found her, made her his and sent her back.

The future would be changed. Lives would be spared and she, she would be loved, and their children would be the reason that the world would survive and coexist.

The baby cried again. This time its power flew past its uncle and through a meadow and down a well...
