Chapter 26-Intervention Planning

It had been four days since AJ and Punk had gotten into a fight about AJ seeing her father and so far neither teen was talking to each other. They had completely ignored the advice that they were given and felt that in their own minds they felt like the other one was in the wrong and needed to apologize. It was so uncomfortable in the house that even Erica could feel the tension and she wasn't even home most of the time.

For the most part, AJ hung out with Kaitlyn a lot and complain about how Punk was an asshole and didn't know what he was talking about when it came to her dad. While she was away with Kaitlyn, Punk spent most of his time with John. Even though both John and Kaitlyn loved their friends, they were getting upset with their behavior. They needed to come up with a plan to get them back together, so along with Stephen, Kaitlyn met up with John at the local mall to discuss the matter.

"Hey John, how's it going?" Kaitlyn asked him as they sat down at the food court.

"It's going okay I guess, I've been talking to lawyer recently about this whole Maria baby issue and according to my lawyer, things are looking like they will work in my favor," John told them.

Stephen smiled and patted his friend on the back, "I'm happy for you fella. I think ya will make a great papa."

Kaitlyn agreed with her boyfriend, "Stephen is right John. By the way that you are handling things, you're going to be a great responsible dad."

"Thanks guys, I appreciate that, but let's get down to business. How are we going to deal with the AJ and Punk mess?" John asked. He really needed his space back seeing as Punk had been attached to hips for four days.

"We think that we have an idea, but it's going to take all of us to make it work," Kaitlyn told him. "In my opinion, we need to have an intervention for our dear friends. As much as I love AJ, she won't leave me alone. All she does is call me and follow me everywhere. She completely refuses to talk to Punk."

John nodded his head, "I know what you mean. For the past four days, Punk practically refuses to leave my side. I love the guy, but I just want my space back. So with that being said, tell me what you guys have planned."

"Well ya see fella, it just so happens that me parents are going on holiday a week and left me all alone. I was thinkin of throwing a party tonight," Stephen informed him.

"It's at this party that we plan on throwing an intervention for Punk and AJ," Kaitlyn interjected. "We need to corner them and let them know that they are being stupid about this whole thing."

John smiled at the idea, "Ya I totally agree with you on the whole intervention thing as well as the party. We just need to let them dish it out while we have a good time at the party."

Since everyone was in agreement, it was time to get the ball rolling. "Okay so since everyone agrees, here is what we are going to do, John you go home and call Punk to tell him about the party. I'll do the same with AJ and pick her up around 7:30 after I help Stephen set up the party. How does that sound?" she asked.

Everyone nodded and knew what they had to do. If they wanted their lives back, they would have to get Punk and AJ back together for everyone's sake.

Later At John's House…

"I don't know man, I really don't feel like partying tonight," Punk sighed as he spiked his hair in John's bathroom. "I would rather stay home and watch hockey."

"Stop being a pussy Punk and go. There is no fun in watching hockey when the biggest party of the year is happening tonight. Everyone is going and we are not going to miss it," John told him sternly.

Punk walked back into John's room and sat on the bed, "I'm not being a pussy John, I just don't like to party. It's just not for me. I hate the alcohol, the loud noise, and the obnoxious people."

John just shook his head, "Look Punk, I know that the only reason why you don't want to go is the possibility of AJ being there. I just don't see why you can't man up and talk to her already. It's been four days."

"Because I'm not in the wrong here, she is. I've spent years protecting April from her jackass abusive father and look how she repays me. One little phone call from daddy and she's instantly back in his arms like nothing happened!" Punk shouted angrily.

"Hey don't take it out on me man. I'm not the enemy here and neither is AJ. You're just jealous that if all ends well, you won't be the only man in AJ's like anymore," John told him.

Punk let out an arrogant snort, "No way am I jealous of that asshole John. All I'm saying is that if Carlos hurts April in any way, I don't know if I'll be there to pick her up off of the ground."

John couldn't believe what he heard, "You don't really mean that Punk, I know that. Somehow one way or another, I feel that something else is bothering you and it's got nothing to do with Carlos hurting AJ."

"I have no idea what you're talking about man, but we better get going to this party that I don't want to go to," Punk said quickly changed the subject as he put on his leather jacket.

"Okay man whatever you say," John sighed and followed his stubborn friend out the door. He silently prayed that everything worked out at the party.

At The Party…

A few minutes later, John and Punk arrived at the party. Luckily John's parents knew that he would need a car once his daughter was born, so they chipped in and bought him a nice car that he and Punk used to get to the party.

Walking into Stephen's house, the party looked like it was in full swing. Everyone at school had showed up and was having a good time. Making their way through the crowd of people, they finally found Stephen in the kitchen with a drink in his hand.

"Hey fellas, glad ya could make it," he smiled as he saw his two friends walk into the room. So far things were looking good.

"Ya man, thanks for inviting us," John told him and looked around, "Where's Kaitlyn at?"

Stephen put his cup down and ushered them out the kitchen and towards the stairs, "She's up here. C'mon, I want to show you guys something."

At first Punk was a little skeptical and felt like something was up, but eventually shrugged it off and followed them upstairs. "So where are we going?" Punk asked Stephen.

"Oh I want to show you guys something cool that me parents put in," Stephen told them as they walked up to a door at the end of the hall.

When Stephen opened it up, Punk couldn't believe what he saw, "A…A…April, what are you doing here?"

"I brought her here, because you two idiots need to talk already. It's been four days," Kaitlyn told him as she sat on the bed with AJ who looked like she had been crying.

"Well I have nothing to say to her or to you, so I'm leaving," Punk said obviously pissed off at being set up.

As he turned around to leave, Stephen and John stopped him. "No Punk, you're not leaving. You and AJ are going to stay up here and talk it out until everything is back to normal," John told him.

Kaitlyn got off the bed and walked towards them, "John's right Punk, all of this fighting is driving us crazy. If you two don't talk it out, then I will hurt you and that's a promise. Let's go guys."

The trio then walked out the door and left the couple alone to work out their problems. Hopefully they would or else Kaitlyn would definitely make good on her promise.

Well I for one agree that Punk and AJ need to talk about what is going on between them. I hate to see something bad happen to them. Also, I agree with John that there is something bigger going on with Punk and hopefully we find out what. Please let me know what you guys thought of the chapter.
