A/N: Hello everyone, Celestial Sky Dragon Here...Man it has been a wild year. I was going to do this a few He days ago, but I've been quite busy as of late, but its better late than never. Its been a whole year since I decided to post this fic on here. One year since I pasted it onto this document and and hit submit. And all i can say is, I'm glad I did, this community has been kind to me, giving me such positive reviews and thousands of views daily. This story isn't just a work by me, its a work by you, who inspired me to continue.

Alex was just a character I came up with as a joke at one point...If i was in Fairy Tail, this is who I'd wanted to be. When i first came up with him, I wasn't expecting him to become more than just that, words on paper...but now, he is among those characters that I love wholeheartedly. He is the freedom I wish I could get in this world, sure I most likely wouldn't be like him, but the fact that he exists at all makes me super happy...

Even when the first major story arc came along, i wasn't taking this seriously. I was just writing what felt right...The four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and his father Thomas were supposed to be the major hard hitters of this fic, but ultimately, that role went to Jackson and the rest of Stormwind Flames.

When i wrote his character, I was in a dark time. I was dealing with several things at once, I didn't feel safe where I was, so i retreated into my room and ignored the world. I wasn't on earth anymore, I was in Fiore, living through my characters. Jackson came from the darkness that loomed over me during those times. even though I had friends, i sometimes felt alone. The major turning point of the story was the fight between Alex and his brother Jackson, which I can compare to me ridding myself of the problem that had overtaken my life at this point. It was a bitter sweet ending I suppose.

However, my computer died at this point, and I couldn't salvage the story, so it went into that long Hiatus, until I was able to recover it with the help of a friend, a resident Earth Dragon Slayer might I add.

Since then, I wrote and rewrote certain parts, adding and taking away and overall improving everything, but the format, except for that one battle in chapter 22. Alex's ending came and went, and I moved on from the story for a while.

Now that its been a year, I've had time to reflect on things I could have changed, and I decided to keep it the way it is, format and all. sure its a bit hard to read but...It still holds the memories of the hard times I went through, the hard times that Alex and his friends went through. But that's all in the past.

I will say this, I have already started the sequel, and will be posting it soon. How soon, I don't know...recently, the Tartarus Arc ended, and I have been thinking of ways I can incorporate some stuff into it, even though I didn't feel like adding it. I still wont, but there is a lot of good information there. the recent chapters of Fairy Tail have also been very good and very hectic, especially the last one with Wendy and Carla.

For now, I will continue to write the sequel, which will be titled Advent of the Stars Zero...All I can say from this title is that there will be several plot points revolving Mavis Vermillion, what they will be? you'll have to see.

Also, I have created a spin off of Advent of the Stars called Advent of the Stars Rules of the Game, which revolves around the new main character Elsu and his very unique card magic. This time around, instead of Wendy being targeted by his affections, it will be Carla who will have the spotlight. Yes she is an Exceed technically, but due to a flawed Transformation spell, she has been stuck in human form, albeit with her cat ears and tail. He's hopelessly in love with her and will try to win her over, with Mira's help of course.

Until then, stay tuned everyone..I won't know when I will post a legitimate chapter for this, but I won't leave you hanging for too long. May the Stars forever Guide you!
