Okay last one of the bunch. The prompt was "What do they like to talk about?"

Meowdar slept more than humans. More often than not, if Tetsuro took a moment to sit down, Meowdar would curl up beside him and rest his head on Tetsuro's lap. There was no chance for protest, as Meowdar was usually asleep within moments.

It wasn't really something Tetsuro minded, but it left him with long periods of silence, and that was boring. Boredom was the worst. Nothing to look at, nowhere to move, and no one to talk to. He grew fed up with it almost immediately.

"Hey," he said, pinching Meowdar's cheek until cat-like eyes had opened.

They rolled up to him sluggishly but with a fair amount of interest brightening them. "What is it?"

"I'm bored. And you sleep too much." They'd been in one place for at least ten minutes, and that was far too long. Unless they were stopping to eat, Tetsuro preferred not to spend too much time sitting on the crumbling rock slabs that made up most of the city. They made his butt ache.

Meowdar smiled his usual soft smirk as he reached up to pat at Tetsuro's cheek. "What would you rather do then?"

"Well I'd appreciate it if you didn't try to nap on me every five minutes. We could at least talk or something."

"Or you could nap with me," Meowdar said with a sharp-toothed grin. It rewarded him with an irritated pout form his human friend. "Fine-fine. What do you want to talk about?"

The question made Tetsuro pause. There weren't many topics they hadn't exhausted. "I dunno. Something interesting."

Meowdar hummed in thought, sharp eyes focused on the peppering of stars overhead. "Have you ever heard of Arcadia?"

"What, you mean Harlock's ship? Of course."

Meowdar waved his words away. "No, not that. The place he named his ship after – the planet. The place that's supposedly paradise."

"Oh." Tetsuro's eyes shone with a newfound interest. "Yeah, sounds great."

Meowdar couldn't help but frown. Of course it sounded great. Fairytales always did. "Do you believe it exists?" he asked with an honest curiosity. Surely Tetsuro knew better.

"Sure," he said with such a genuine smile that Meowdar felt lost for a moment. "I've been to all kinds of planets. I don't see why one like that couldn't exist."

Reaching up, Meowdar twirled a strand of Tetsuro's hair around his finger. "That is…a very childish way to think." His smile warmed his tired eyes. "But I suppose it's just like you."

Tetsuro puffed his cheeks. "I'm not childish. You're just boring."

"Boring? Still?" Meowdar laughed. "Whatever can I do to entertain you?"

"Well for starters, you can stop sleeping for like fifteen hours a day. You also need to learn how to cook."

"I know how to cook," Meowdar huffed, sitting up.

"Yeah, you know how to cook garbage."

"You're no better."

Tetsuro crossed his arms, his shoulders scrunched up by his ears. "Well when we get to Arcadia, and there's a whole bunch of food, I'll show you that I can make some really great edible stuff."

"You think you can actually make it to this Arcadia?" Meowdar smirked.

"I'm going to just to show you that I'm not childish."

The statement itself sounded so childish that Meowdar began snickering, much to Tetsuro's irritation. "But I like that you're childish," Meowdar said quickly, since it was obvious Tetsuro was about to jump up and storm off. "It's nice. I forgot people could think so positive until I met you."

Then they both felt how odd the idea was as it repeated through their heads, both their faces warming a few degrees. "What else would you like to talk about?" Meowdar offered before the silence could become uncomfortable.

"Let's talk about sports."

Meowdar blinked. "Sports?"

"Yeah, okay," Tetsuro grinned. "I can work with that."
