Haruka shook like a leaf, crumpling the paper between her stiff fingers as she took deep breaths, in an attempt to calm herself down. Her eyes nearly watered in nervousness, seeing that they were up next. It had taken a while to finish up the song, a few days in fact. Otoya had kept trying to convince Hayato to join and Masato talking to Ren briefly about how they would propose the idea to Saotome with or without them. Both said no to the idea and left, barely speaking a word to them since. It was the day before the deadline, one of the last chances to sign up for the competition. There were already a few people here, setting up their little areas to stay in during the competition, since it's been known to stretch out for a few days. It was rather loud, even thought it was still early in the day and in the competition time.
The person in front of them moved out of the way and the lady at the counter called them forward. Haruka's legs froze and she shook, unable to move forward. She felt a hand on her back and another on her shoulder. She looked to her shoulder, seeing Masato give her a comforting squeeze. Looking at her back she saw Otoya comforting her in a similar way.
Syo gave her a thumbs up, giving her a confident smirk. "Nanami, it'll be alright. We'll work it out!" He said, brimming with confidence.
"Haru-chan," Natsuki said, patting her on the head. "Have faith in us. We'll find a way to sing together." He said, smiling at her. She nodded her head and took a few steps forward, stopping n front of the counter. The lady smiled kindly at Haruka. The lady had long, pink hair and blue eyes, a big, fancy dress on.
"Hello, how may I help you today?" She asked kindly.
"I-I." Haruka said, blushing from ear to ear, causing the lady sitting at the desk to giggle in amusement. "W-we would like to sign up for the competition, please." Haruka stammered, shrinking under the pressure. The boys tried to suppress their snickers, Natsuki patting her on the head.
"Okay, which one of them are you entering?" She asked, assuming that since Haruka was so shy, she wasn't the one signing up.
"Er, thats the thing. We..." Haruka looked to the boys for help and they complied esile, Masato finishing her thought.
"We're signing up for a group audition." Masato said. A few people nearly stopped walking and some stopped their conversations to stare at them. The lady behind the counter blinked in surprise, not sure how to react to such a proposal.
"You know that this competitions only allows for single auditions, correct?" She asked.
"Y-yes, we're aware of that." Haruka said, looking down.
"D-demo!" Otoya cried, causing a few more heads to turn their way. "We want to try anyways."
"Please let us compete." Natsuki asked.
"Or at least let us talk to the president about it." Masato asked, insisting on competing. The pore lady at the counter was a little overwhelmed, blinking rapidly.
"Masa-chan, you know I can't do that." The woman scolded, holding one finger out at him. "As your teacher, I suggest you rethink this." She warned.
"We've already thought this over, Ringo-sensei, and we want to try this." Masato said confidently. Haruka looked back and forth between them, wondering how they knew each other.
"Na-chan, you too?" Ringo asked Natsuki, Natsuki nodding in response. "I can't believe you boys." She sighed, rubbing her head.
"Nanami," Syo said, tapping her shoulder. "Ringo is one of the teachers back at Saotome academy. She taught Masato, Natsuki, and Tomochika's class while Huyga-sensei taught Ren, Tokiya, and me." Syo explained, both Haruka and Otoya nodding in understanding.
"Darling," Ringo said, pointing at Haruka. Haruka flinched at her stern voice, nodding rapidly. "Whats your name?"
"N-Nanami Haruka..." Haruka whispered, shrinking.
"Haru-chan," Ringo said. "Because I have a soft spot for my old students, I'll try to get in touch with Saotome and see if you guys can talk to him about this arrangement." Haruka's face lit up and she gave a joyous 'Thank you'. "Your a cute one~"
"Arigato, Ringo-chan!" Natsuki thanked, his bright smile shining. He turned to Haruka, smiling. "He's always been a great teacher and let me get away with bringing my cookies into class." Natsuki smiled.
"He?" Haruka asked, confused.
"You don't know?" Natsuki asked.
"Ringo-sensei is a boy." Masato pointed out. Haruka blushed and apologize profusely, causing Ringo to laugh.
"Honey, don't worry! When you cross dress, you're not expecting everyone to know your real gender." Ringo assured, patting Haruka on the head. Haruka nodded her head, still feeling embarrassed for not knowing. Ringo picked up the phone and called Saotome, waiting for him to pick up. He hummed while waiting and Haruka was surprised by how much Ringo did seem to be a girl. Finally Ringo made a little happy noise, indicating that the other line had been picked up. "Good morning, Saotome~ Sorry to interrupt you during your meeting, but we have an interesting proposal here right now." Ringo said, giving Haruka a wink. "Perhaps you can discuss the matter with them after you get back- I'm sure they'll wait." Ringo nodded his head a few times in response to what he was saying and finally gave a big smile. "Thanks great, I'll lead them to your office to wait. Goodbye~" He said, putting the phone down.
"Well?" Syo asked. "Did he say yes?"
"His meeting won't be over for another hour, but he will see you as soon as possible after that." Ringo said, causing the boys to cheat in victory. Haruka gave the biggest smile she could to Ringo and he gushed over how cute she was.
Meanwhile, a little bit away, the crowd of people were mumbling to each other about the four boys and their composer.
"There's no way they'll get in."
"What makes them so special."
"Why did I have to pick one person when she picked 4?"
"How is this fair?" Just past them, sneaking around in the shadows is a boy with blue hair, staring out at the idols- to- be and composer- to- be. He watched as Ringo lead them away, down the hallway and told a man with orange hair to fill in for him. Hayato shook his head, following behind them. Not to say he was coming with them to convince the president to let them in. He was there for his own reason anyways. But... he wouldn't mind giving a little extra push for the pink haired composer he had a weakness for. He followed behind them and watched them walk into a room with a big, wooden door. He stood outside, waiting for Saotome just outside of the room.
