Cammie POV

"You can't escape the inevitable, it isn't as simple as that. Sooner or later, you'll be caught out." My mum had said once to my dad, I had heard them one night when they thought I was in bed, I had gone down for a late night snack and heard them before dad went out. I had always kept that thought in my head, it was a good saying, and a true one. That kind of reflected Alexa's life, I thought, how she'd just kept running and hiding and thinking she'd be safe forever, never letting anyone in or getting hurt. I know that sounds like quite a deep evaluation of her life to say, I didn't know her that well, but she was easy to read.

"Have you go the last of the bags?" Zach asked, shouldering one of them. He looked tired, and concerned.

"Of course I do, come on, the others will be waiting in the hotel." I told him, heading towards the building. We walked in, not saying a word. Townsend was waiting for us, he took a bag off me and looked to Zach with exhausted eyes.

"Is this everything?" He asked, walking towards the elevator.

"Everything in the van." Zach replied, going into the lift just before me. We have two rooms, girls in one, boys in the other. Which will be a big squish, me, Bex, Liz, Macey, Anna and Alexa all in one room. But we'd manage. Townsend handed me my key and hit the floor 2 button, up we went.

He then showed me to room 22, the boys had room 24, right next door. I opened it and walked in to see Macey, Liz and Anna. The walls were cream looking, with diamond patterns on them. The curtains matched the bed sheets, dark red and the carpet matched the walls. "Hey Cammie." Macey yawned, sprawling out on one of the 3 beds, she had wrapped a white blanket around herself and was lazily flipping through an old magazine. I smiled at her.

"How's it going in here?" I asked, looking to Liz and Anna. Liz looked around and nodded, making a piece of blonde hair fall into her face. She blew it away and looked back at the telephone in her hands.

"Just making sure we can't be tracked." She said, her hands pulling wires inside the back of the phone. Anna was sitting cross legged on the dark red couch, arranging pillows and a blanket.

"I got the couch. You 5 can decide who gets the 2 doubles and the single." She said. I kind of felt sorry for Anna, she really didn't know how to handle this. I know she was a spy and everything, but this was something knew all together, we all had blood on our hands now.

"Macey, any word from Bex and Zach?" I asked her, sitting down on the other double and taking off my shoes with a sigh. I wiggled my toes and looked at her. She shrugged. "Don't know, in case you haven't noticed Liz has taken the phone to pieces." She threw a pillow at Liz who shrieked.

"I'm working on it, unless you want to have a go." She threw it back, but she missed and knocked the lamp off the bed side table.

"Careful." I laughed, thankfully it didn't smash. "God this seems so normal, like old times." Anna licked her lips.

"I wouldn't say that, but it is good not to be fighting or driving anymore. That van was uncomfortable." She rubbed the back of her neck and lay down on her newly made couch bed.

"It is good to have a proper bed, it seems like years since the attack on the school." Macey said distantly. "I wonder where everyone else is, what happened to them?" I didn't have an answer, and truthfully, I didn't want to guess.

"Maybe the Circle Of Cavan took them." Liz suggested, voicing my worst fears.

"No, not all of them, far too many girls in that school." Macey said, more trying to reassure herself than the rest of us I bet. "Besides, all those spies, come on, lots probably escaped."

"But then where are they?" I asked quietly. Then louder I said: "Why haven't we heard anything about them. At least a few would have tried to find any of us, our van wasn't exactly subtle or anything." I swallowed a lump in my throat.

"What about Blackthorne?" Anna mumbled, rolling over to face us. "Didn't Solomon say something about an Order of... whatever, maybe they helped." Liz raised an eyebrow.

"How did you hear about that?" She asked. Anna looked away.

"I over heard you guys, just before the shooting, that's how I managed to find Townsend so quickly." She coughed a bit before changing the subject. "Or they're with Ms. Morgan."

"Or both." I said. "What if they're all at Blackthorne, not with the Baxters." I sat up straight. "What if we've been heading the wrong way." Macey shook her head.

"No, I doubt it -"

"Think about it, how obvious would going to see Bex's mum and dad be, I mean, isn't that what the Circle would expect." I argued.

"Cam, that is what they'd expect, which is why they'd go there, hiding in plain sight. Besides, Blackthorne is crawling with Circle spies, they are too smart for that." Liz said, putting the phone back together with a satisfied grin. I stood up and went to the door.

"Where are you going Cammie?" Macey asked, trying to grab my arm.

"To see Zach." I pulled away and slammed the door behind me.
