This chapter has more overprotective!Dragon Slayers, because I think everyone needs at least one bit of that in their life. This chapter was pretty rushed, sorry! I'm trying really hard to get this done before May.

Carla began to twitch in the realization that her Wendy, her precious, sweet Wendy who was like a daughter to her, was being followed by someone who wanted to kill her. Her stomach gurgled and she suddenly felt the need to throw up. She walked over towards the group of Dragon Slayers to comfort the crying bluenette.
"I'm ready to kill someone," Bickslow sneered, cracking his knuckles.
"Fro thinks so, too," said Frosch, albeit somewhat monotonously. Happy and Lector nodded in agreement. Pantherlily changed into his large form and went outside to blow off some steam using rocks.
"We're gonna find this bastard," Evergreen said. "I thought Macao was a creep, but to resort to stalking a thirteen year old girl..."
Levy stared at the ground. "We had so many people at school guarding, and they still managed to slip in and get info on Wendy."
"Why Wendy, of all people?" Happy wondered aloud with deep sadness in his voice.
"She's the most powerful out of all the kids," Freed answered, "and the most famous one. Plus she has potential, which means there's magic in her that hasn't been used yet."
"But still..." Evergreen said.
"...someone so sweet like Wendy," Levy continued.
"It leaves a bad feeling in your gut," Lyon finished.
"Maaaaviisssss," groaned a voice. "Can't a girl get her beauty asleep here?"
The group turned. Cana was slowly getting up from the floor. Her fellow unconscious mages began to move as well.
"Cana!" exclaimed Evergreen.
"Eve!" cried Hibiki.
"Sherry!" yelled both Ren and Lyon. The tan mage and the white haired former disciple of Ur reached towards the pinkette.
"Oi, idiot," said Ren, "wake up. I don't wanna have to worry about you."
"Wendy!" Lyon shouted towards the petite bluenette. "Sherry isn't awake yet. Come heal her."
The blockade around said bluenette seemed to tighten. It took a few minutes for Wendy to poke her tear-stained face through the wall. "H-hai."
Wendy began to heal Sherry, while Freed relayed what had happened to the previously unconscious mages.
"Damn," Yuka said.
"Wendy-chan must be terrified right now," stated Eve.
"She can protect herself," Cana groaned, not yet recovered from the attack. "To be honest, I'm kinda pissed off that someone managed to defeat me with my own magic."
"It's not your fault," Freed replied. "You were all caught off guard."
"But still," Cana said. "I feel so weak."
A stirring was heard from the left side of the room. The group looked and saw a mane of pink hair begin to get up.
"R-ren?" Sherry's tired voice said. "Wh-what happened?"
Both Ren and Lyon looked relieved. Ren clutched Sherry close. Lyon attempted to as well, but instead settled for sulking in the corner.
Looks like a love triangle, Yuka smirked. [1]
Heh, their wedding's gonna be pretty interesting, Bickslow mentally chuckled.
The trip back to Magnolia was tense. The Dragon Slayers refused to let Wendy leave their side. The five decided to head back via Exceed, leaving the rest to go back by train.
When Freed and his fellow Fairy Tail comrades arrived at the guild, it seemed that they had beaten the Dragon Slayers, if only for a second. The Raijinshuu cheered when they saw their leader seated at one of the bar stools.
"Laxus!" the trio exclaimed, with Freed's voice the loudest of all.
"Hey," replied the blond offhandedly. "Did you get anything new?"
Evergreen was the first to break out of her Laxus-induced stupor. She handed him the envelope.
Green-blue eyes read over the contents. Suddenly, a thunderstorm began to rage outside.
"Fucking hell!" yelled Laxus. The guild, for the first time since the Tenrou team returned, was completely silent. Although loud bursts of anger weren't uncommon for the artificial Dragon Slayer, nobody had ever heard him that mad.
"What the hell is going on, Laxus?!" Makarov said.
His grandson did not reply and instead walked over to the guild doors. Laxus pulled them open, and, as if on cue, in walked in five Dragon Slayers along with five Exceeds.
A dark aura filled the normally-energetic Fairy Tail guild. The pure anger radiating off of Laxus, Natsu, Gajeel, Sting, and Rogue was enough to make even Mirajane and Erza cower slightly. The silence was deafening, and soon, Max and Warren began to tremble in fear.
A soft and gentle yawn broke the tension. The source came from Wendy, who rubbed her eyes lazily. "I'm tired. Let's go home, Carla."
And just like that, the guild erupted into chaos once more.
"Oi, Kid, hold on, I'll take you home—"
"—I believe it would be best if I did, Wendy—"
"—No, let me take you h—"
"—I'm the one who kicked all three of their asses, so it should be m—!"
"—I kicked your ass with one hand, which makes me more qualified to—"
"Will you all just shut up?!" snapped Carla. "There's no law that says you can't all walk Wendy home, for goodness sake!"
"There's no need, really!" Wendy said. The looks the Dragon Slayers gave her (all identical, she noted) read the same thing:
Listen up someone wants you dead and there's no fucking way in Mavis/Arceus we are letting you be alone so you listen to your damn oniisans and let us walk you home.
Wendy sighed and nodded. She walked out the door, followed closely by her so-called "oniisans."
"Why the fuck are you so close to Wendy, huh, Metal Mouth?! I didn't know you were into little girls, Gajeel!"
"Shut the fuck up, Salamander! I'm closest because I'm the one who can protect her best—!"
"I defeated you, remember?"
"In all honesty, I feel that Natsu-san would protect Wendy better."
"What the fuck, Ryos? Weren't you my sworn brother?"
"Natsu-san is the best!"
Laxus rolled his eyes and followed them out the door. He felt a light tap on his shoulder and turned around.
"E-excuse me, Laxus, b-but can y-you please stop the th-thunder outside?" stuttered Pantherlily, covering his ears in fear. Laxus took slow, deep breaths, and within minutes the storm outside calmed.
"Th-thanks," Pantherlily said.
"Sting-kun! Rogue-kun! Wait up!" yelled Lector, running after them.
"Fro thinks so, too!"
And just like that, the Fairy Tail guild began to fill up with energy once more.
The next morning, Romeo went to Fairy Hills to pick Wendy up. When he opened the door, he was surprised to see five mages sprawled out on the floor, asleep.
"What the hell?" he whispered, slightly afraid to wake any of them up. "What's going on?"
"Shut up, Mini Salamander!" growled Gajeel. Romeo flinched, not realizing he had been awake.
"S-sorry, Gajeel-nii," apologized the Conbolt boy.
"Whatever," replied the metal-eating mage. "We were waitin' for ya, anyways."
"What?"
"We wanna talk to you, Romeo," said Natsu. It seemed as though, within the five seconds Romeo had spent talking to Gajeel, the rest of the Dragon Slayers had awoken from their sleep.
"Why?" asked Romeo. "Did something bad happen to Wendy-chan last night?"
The five men stared at the floor, unsure how to respond. Romeo was just as protective of Wendy as they were, if not more. There was no telling what the reckless teen would do.
"Nothing that you should worry about," Rogue replied, feeling that a vague answer was best.
Sting coughed. "We just want you to promise us that you'll protect Wendy more, ok? She's the most powerful of all of you, and she could be a target."
Could be and is, Laxus thought.
"I promise I'll protect Wendy-chan no matter what," Romeo said after a pause.
The Dragon Slayers smiled and nodded in approval.
"Alright, then, we'll go wake up Wendy and—"
Romeo continued, "But, I think that Wendy-chan will protect me more than I could ever protect her."

Some people might feel like everyone's overreacting, but you have to put into perspective that A) the villains in this story are not above harming kids and B) Wendy's still young. I think that all of the guilds are protective of the children withing them, i.e. Chelia, Romeo, Wendy, Haru, Asuka, and West.
