Chapter 26: Reunion Or Looking For Clues Or I Don't Wanna Do This

I do not own the Legend Of Korra Of ATLA Universe.

I'm sorry. I try to get a chapter out every two weeks. But Writer's Block and Family shit fucked with my head.

I'm Truly Sorry

Republic City, Outside Of Fei Yen's Apartment- Still Night

"Asami we don't have to do this, let's just go get a noodles. Rich people like noodles right?"

"Your going to have to do this sooner or later. Why not now?"

I could only stare at her. She knows what Fei Yen was like. Just because Fei Yen liked her doesn't mean she likes me. Doesn't matter what Asami said. That old lady was terrifying.

"If I had to choose between now and later, I choose later. Preferably never."

I spun around to run as fast as possible. And then her door swung open. I flinched and froze mid step. I shouldn't be scared of an old lady, but I am.

"Yoh? Your Back?", she slowly walked out to stare at me.

I slowly turned around to look Fei Yen anywhere but her eyes. Her

I cant show fear, old women can smell fear.

Asami turned to me,"Yoh, calm down and talk to the woman"

Scratch that. All women can smell fear.

Republic City, Fei Yen's Apartment- Surprise Surprise Still Night

And now we were all sitting around her table. Fei Yen and Asami staring at me on one side.

Me on the other looking at anything but them.

What the fuck am I supposed to say? Sorry for not calling or writing but you terrify me to the bone? How do you explain that your scared of an old la-

"I'm sorry Yoh."

I-huh?

I wasn't expecting that. And from the look on Asami's face neither was she.

I blinked and shrugged,"Don't worry about it, it's no skin off my ba-"

Fei Yen's eyes flashed,"LET ME FINISH SPEAKING!"

Asami likes to say that my shriek was like a little girl. I disagree, I'd say my shriek was at least middle school aged. But yeah I'd agree that it was a girly shriek.

After I finished freaking out she continued,"I treated you like a fool. Mostly because you acted like one"

Oh um...okay? I thought she was apologizing. I would've cut in with a quip, but the glare Asami sent me would've turned me to dust if I did interject.

"But...the reason I treated you so rudely was because you remind me of my grandson."

I had to butt in now!

"I'm like your grandson? But that would mean your grandson is third coolest person on the planet!"

Asami slowly turned to me again,"Third coolest?"

"Well yeah, I'm second coolest and I'm trying to decide if you or Ai are number one"

Asami snorted,"Well I've known you longer."

Fei Yen laughed," If I could continue my emotional speech please?"

Asami and I stared at each other for a moment. Then we collapsed into a laughing fit.

It took a good ten minutes before the two of us could talk coherently again. Fei Yen gave us a half-assed glare and continued,"My grandson is exactly like you, snarky and stupid. The only difference between you two is where you ended up."

Fei Yen stopped and looked aside at my old room,Asami interjected wrapping her arm around Fei Yen's shoulder,"Her grandson joined the Agni Kai Triads..."

Oh.

The boy she helped take raise and take care of joined the gang, and the homeless jackass she barely knew joined the police force.

That must hurt. I'd know I'd be hurt.

I sighed and looked her dead in the eye. "I am so sorry Fei Yen...Do...Do you want me to look for him?"

I was rewarded with her hand slamming into my head. I collapsed into the carpet rolling around clutching my head.

"WHY?!" I cried out from the floor. Asami had rushed over to me and once she realized that I was okay had descended into giggles at my misfortune.

Laugh it up you witch.

Fei Yen took that moment to walk over to me,"No, Lee is dead to me. I just wanted you to understand why I was so hard on you... when you lived with me"

"I get it, but are you sure? I can t-GAH JESUS?!"

And another fist was bashed into to my skull.

Asami turned to me,"Okay seriously you have to tell me who this Jesus guy is"

Fei Yen sighed,"Get out of my house..."

Republic City, The Streets- Make A Wild Guess...Still Night

After getting tossed out of the apartment, Asami had basically forced me onto her moped and off into the night. It would be at least a hour before we reached the docks to get back to Air Rikers Island.

"And that's why I say his name so much!"

Asami turned her head to me,"Where are you from? I've never heard of that myth before!"

I blinked,"First of all, I don't make fun of your I'm from a pretty small village. Small enough that if I didn't leave I'd have to change my last name to Lannister if I married anyone there."

I snorted laughing at my little joke, Asami just gave me a confused look and turned her head back to the road.

Wait...how long had she been looking at me and not the road?

"Asami...could you please keep your eyes on the road?"

She snorted,"No one is ever out this late. At least not driving...We'll be fiiineeeee"

"Oh God we're gonna die. Or run over some other kid." She turned to me with a glare,"Really?"

"Hey, I calls em like I sees em."

For the next ten minutes we rode in silence, just taking in the city at night.

Asami unsurprisingly was the one who broke the silence,"We're looking for the kid aren't we?"

I grinned,"Did you even have to ask?"

Asami looked back to me and smirked,"Just the two of us?"

"Easier to stay under the radar if it is just us."

Asami smiled,"Bitchin..."
