Ch.1

Six months before Nightmare moon's return...

Luna was gazing down at Equestria when she heard a rather loud thump and crying from in a crater not far from where she was, the imprisoned princess walked over and found something quite amazing in the form of a clear bubble of magic with a peculiar creature inside. The creature was crying and looked very hungry and thirsty, Luna walked a little closer and gently called out "Are you ok?"

2 year old Star Potter was startled at the sudden voice and scrambled backwards despite the pain she was in, she then noticed the pretty Horsie looking at her in shock and crawled towards the Horsie. Luna looked at what was obviously a very young "Foal" as it babbled in an unknown language up at her, Luna then smiled and walked even closer to the bubble as the "foal" then touched the bubble at the same time as her. A brilliant Light then surrounded Luna and the "foal", Luna yelped as she found herself in front of a couple who looked like the "foal" and looked around for the little one when the woman spoke "Please, we have a request of you, your Highness!"

Luna blinked in shock and said "You talk?!"

The man laughed softly and said "Yes we do your highness. My name is James and this is my wife Lily, you found our daughter after our spell which activated if she was in danger from her relatives that she was never supposed to go to."

Luna looked worried at those words and said "What exactly was the spell?"

Lily then spoke up and said "It was to send her out of their reach to the closest person that's suitable to raise her if her godfathers couldn't, for some reason the spell chose you."

Luna then asked "But what about you? Why can't you raise her?"

James and Lily became sad and said "Because we're dead, we were murdered by someone in our home dimension that was after our daughter."

Luna then understood and said "The spell was a fail-safe just in case..."

The two spirits nodded and Luna smiled as she said "I would be honored to raise her, may I ask her name?"

Lily smiled and said "Her name is Star but we must warn you, the spell will make her your Blood Adopted daughter...are you sure about this?"

Luna nodded with a smile and Lily then began to cry in relief and said "Thank you, thank you so much. We are indebted to you, Please protect her best as you can!"

Luna gave her word then the light faded as she heard Lily's voice say "Once again thank you..."

Luna blinked her eyes free of the light spots dancing in front of her then looked around for Star, She blinked as she found the little girl but the child was now an adorable Silver Alicorn foal with a star silver speckled black mane and tail that was sitting and looked confused. Luna smiled and helped the little Alicorn stand up as Star looked at her and said in an adorable voice "Horsie play?"

Luna blinked then smiled as she said "I'm your new mommy now, little one..."

Star's eyes went wide as Luna then nuzzled Star to her side and began to lick the tiny filly's forehead, Star relaxed happily then yawned as her new mother laid down and then got her to lay down right next to the older Alicorn. Star was soon asleep as Luna gazed down at her new daughter with a smile then thought to herself, "I'll have to change her name slightly but I'll keep the Star part of her name the same but what to call my sweet little princess…"
