A/N: READ THIS!
Just to clear up the confusion, italics are dreams, flashbacks, thoughts, texts, phone calls and one was a vision in the future. There's a flashback in this chapter so I'll notify you guys.
And I'm cleaning up some chapters so they make more sense, but it's going to take a while. I'm starting at 'Night School'. I already changed the school Madison went to, instead of going to a mixed private school she went to a private all girls school. And Derek won't know about Elijah until he's sees the flashback.
Last but not least, to me Beauty & The Beast sounded a little cheesy so I renamed the book Daydreamin'.
Disclaimer: I don' town anything you reconginise.
I opened my lyric book after grabbing it from my school bag. When school had finished, Derek messaged, telling me to meet at his place. Cassie, Isaac and Jackson had received the same one. Two of them had turned up, so we where just waiting for Jackson who was 15 minutes late.
I sighed out of boredom, "Maybe you should just tell us why you want us here. Jackson can wait."
"He's part of the pack," Derek said.
"Not for long," I mumbled. Jackson was moving to London soon.
Just then the loft door slid open and in he came.
"Sorry, I got caught up."
I scoffed, rolling my eyes, before going back to my book. I grabbed a hold of my pencil and began to write. 'You don't need a lot of money. Honey you don't have to play no games.'
Derek's voice made me stop writing. "The full moon is tomorrow." I glanced over to him. Oh great. "We'll meet at the abandoned sub station." That's even worse.
"Will I shift?" I asked.
"No," a new voice said. I saw Peter walking down the spiral stairs. "Pregnant werewolves won't go through the full process of shifting. You'll still want to kill, but it just won't be painful."
I nodded, looking down at my thighs. I lightly traced my fingertips over the scar from when Matt shot me.
"Can we go to school tomorrow?" Jackson questioned.
"No," I responded before anyone else could, "We could easily snap and kill everyone we see. Everything will be heightened tomorrow."
"How do you know so much about werewolves?" Ha, Stiles had asked me the same thing.
"I'm a daughter of a retired werewolf hunter, I'm suppose to know these things." That was partly a lie. When I first began training, it was only archery and hand-to-hand combat. Elijah and his family were the ones who mostly told me about werewolves.
Jackson seemed okay with my answer, although Peter was smirking. Somehow he knew... I shot him a glare, then went back to my book. 'All I need is all your loving. To get the blood rushing through my veins.'
"So I heard rumours about you and Adam." I immediately stopped writing, calming my heart rate down.
I looked up and over to Jackson who wore a smirk. I wanted to smack that off his face. "He's my date for prom," I said.
"Who's Adam?" Derek asked. His tone was laced with jealousy.
I didn't want to tell Derek about the date. Even though we broke up, it would still hurt him. I needed to move on, but also did he.
"Adam Carter, a lacrosse player. He's good, but not as good as me." I rolled my eyes. Cocky much? "You could of asked me to go with you."
I shivered at the thought and my phone buzzed. I picked it up and saw it was a message from Adam.
'How's pizza?'
I bit my lip to keep myself from smiling. 'Sounds great. Can't wait :)'
"Who was that?" I heard Peter's taunting voice.
"Allison," I lied perfectly, locking my phone. I closed my lyric book and shoved it and the pencil in my bag. "I've gotta go."
Just as I made it to the door, a voice stopped me. "Madison–"
I turned around and looked Derek in the eyes. "Don't worry. Tomorrow I'll be at the station, and in the meantime, I won't do anything to raise my heart rate." I turned back around and left the loft.
"She is so going on a date with him," I heard Jackson say.
I growled under my breath.
"So...this date," I heard Dad trail off. I jumped on the spot, almost screaming. My heart was beating rapidly.
"Please knock next time," I said sighing, "You almost gave me a heart attack." He apologised, before chuckling. "And yes I have a date. He is 100% human and 100% good." I opened my closet, grabbing a grey wooly scarf and loosely wrapping it around my neck.
"Is there anything I need to worry about?" He asked.
I tilted my head to the side, thinking over his question. "His ex-girlfriend," I muttered.
"What?"
"Nothing," I dismissed, shaking my head. I fixed up my parted hair and smoothed out my creamy jumper.
"You'll have your phone on, right?"
I silently chuckled, turning to face Dad. "Yes, I'll have my phone on. And if anything happens–which I'm not saying anything will–I'll call 9-1-1 or you."
He was about to open his mouth and speak, but the door bell rang.
"I'll get it!" Allison yelled, running out of her room.
I began walking downstairs with Dad following behind me. Allison was making small talk with Adam.
"Hey," I smiled at my date.
He returned one, "Hi, ready to go?"
I nodded, waving to my family members.
"Be back before eleven," Dad demanded.
I closed the door behind me, smiling shyly at Adam and tucking some hair behind my ear.
"You look beautiful," he complimented.
I blushed, looking down, "Thanks." I haven't been on a date in years. It kind of hurts that I never had a date with Derek, but I guess we never had the time.
I laughed, throwing my head back. "That is the worst pick up line ever!" After we ordered the pizza, he started telling me about when he was younger, he would use pick up lines to get girls. They were terrible.
My laughter died down and I took a sip out of my water bottle. "In San Francisco, there was this one guy who wouldn't take no for an answer. One time he said 'if I could rearrange the alphabet I'd put U and I together'. It was probably one of the worst pick up lines I've been told."
"How'd you respond?"
"I said, 'and if I could rearrange the alphabet it would start with F and end with U.'" My lips twitched, a laugh escaping my mouth as did his.
"Do you know you have a crazy ex?" I asked, changing the subject.
"Yeah," he said nodding, "Amanda can be a handful."
"Well, why'd you go out with her in the first place?" I asked.
"She wasn't always like that. She use to never care about what people think about her. Then something changed inside of her and she changed. I didn't like it, I had to go everywhere and anywhere she wanted. At first I thought it would pass, but it got worse so I broke it off," Adam explained, every now and then making eye contact with me. "And she also became sort of obsessed with wanting to have sex. She wasn't the Amanda I knew, and she's still not."
I was a little shocked. "So you're a..."
"Yes, I'm a virgin," he said smiling. He didn't seem embarrassed about it. "I'm saving myself for the right time."
"I sort of wished I had done the same," I replied softly. I was fifteen at the time.
When our pizza came, he had two slices of supreme, while I had two slices of cheese and tomato pizza. Once we finished eating, Adam insisted on paying–he wouldn't let me. Then we went for a walk to the local park.
He picked up my wrist, turning it over to reveal my tattoo. "What does it say?"
"It says 'être courageux' meaning 'be brave' in French," I told him, "My mum always said that to me, whether it was my first ballet recital or speaking in front of huge crowds. Now that she's no longer here to say that to me, I want to have that as a reminder so I don't forget."
"I'm sorry," he said softly, knowing it was a touchy subject. A small smile plastered its way on his face. "So...are there anymore tattoos I should know about?" Butterflies flew around in my stomach.
I pressed my body up against his, standing on the tip of my toes–I hate that I'm too short–to whisper in his ear, "You'll have to wait and find out." I turned around, continuing the walk. Was that a little too much for a first date? Eh, it's probably because the full moon is tomorrow.
Glancing over my shoulder, I saw him staring at me with wide eyes and a dropped jaw. I laughed, throwing my head back. He quickly composed himself and caught up with me.
Ten minutes later, we were on a park bench. I had my head in his lap as he sat upright, softly running his hand through my hair. A weak gust of wind blew in our direction causing my body to jolt with a shiver.
I heard him chuckle. Glancing up, I saw him looking down at me. We stared into each other's eyes for a while, before he leaned in a bit.
"Do my lips gave permission to touch your lips?" He asked quietly. I nodded mutely, slightly parting my lips.
I could feel his warm breath on my lips just before we kissed. It was slow and soft. I'm glad it didn't get too heated otherwise I'd probably want to do more than kiss him. Stupid full moon. My eyes fluttered open as he broke the contact.
"I've wanted to do that all night," he whispered. I smiled at him.
"Me too," I whispered back.
My nose twitched and I caught an alpha scent. It wasn't Derek. I abruptly sat up, looking around. I couldn't find the source of the scent.
"Are you okay?" Adam asked. He must of noticed my worried expression.
"I caught a scent," I spoke without thinking, "We should go."
"I had fun tonight," I said, glancing over to Adam as we walked up the footpath to my house. "We should do this again sometime."
"I'd like that," he replied, "See you later?"
I nodded, standing on the tip of my toes and pressing my soft, pink lips to his. "Goodnight," I whispered after breaking the contact.
"Night," he smiled one last time.
I opened the front door and walked inside. Rapid footsteps echoed in the house, then came Allison running down the stairs.
A bright smile was on her face. "How was it?"
"Where's Dad?" I asked, changing the subject.
"In his study, now answer my question."
"It was good."
"Good? Really? That's all you're gonna give me?" She raised her eyebrows.
I looked at the study down the hall. The door was still open. I sighed, grabbing Allison's arm and pulling her upstairs. When we reached her room, I closed the door and turned to face her.
"It was better than good," I bit my lip.
She laughed, looking excited. "Well, what did you found out about him?"
We sat down on her bed, legs crossed. "He has two younger brothers, Clinton and Damon, an older sister, Crystal, who is away at collage. His favourite movie is 'The Book of Eli', his favourite colour is blue and his birthday is on May 14th. Um...even though he plays lacrosse his passion is soccer, he even got a scholarship to go to London."
She gasped, "I love 'The Book of Eli'. Did you kiss him?" Allison asked. I felt my cheeks heat up, and looked away. "Oh my god, you did. You two totally kissed!"
I grabbed a pillow from behind me and threw it in her face. "Shut up!" I yelled in a whispering tone. She laughed, throwing her head back.
I threw my clothes in the laundry basket after changing into my pjs. I yawned, stretching my arms over head, probably looking quite unattractive. I walked over to the window and pulled the curtains back. I gasped, jumping back and covering my mouth so I could contain my scream. Staring straight at me was a pair of alpha eyes.
I kept walking backwards until the back of my legs hit my bed. I reached behind me, grabbed my phone and called Derek. My eyes never left the red dots.
"Hey, are you at my place?" I asked once I heard him answer the call.
"No, why? Was I suppose to be?" My breathing hitched as I realised Derek wasn't outside my window.
"No. Uh–"
"What's going on?"
"Nu-nothing," I stammered. "I'm gonna go to bed. Night." I ended the call. Blinking a couple times, I saw the red eyes disappeared. I sighed, running a hand through my long, red velvet hair.
I stepped over to the window, locking it and drawing the curtains in.
My small feet slowly made their way down the subway station stairs. I has gotten their earlier than the others so I get some time to myself.
I glanced around the station, double checking to see if my ears deceived me. Then my eyes landed on a familiar train cart. Oh that brought back memories...
~Flashback~
When I had the courage to look at Derek, he was standing in front of me, cupping my cheeks. "Maybe I want what you saw." His voice was just above a whisper.
My eyes flickered to his lips and stayed there. I started to lean in. His lips softly clashed against mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer. His arms circled around my waist and kissed me passionately. I pulled back for some air and grabbed his hand, leading him to his train cart. I felt his lips on my neck...that'll definitely leave a bruise. But I had to stop him so there wouldn't be any evidence when I go home.
I faced him and gripped his shirt, lifting it over his head and throwing it away.
My closed my eyes and reconnected our lips, my arms returned to his neck, fingers lightly tugging his hair, earning a small growl.
Then he pulled away from my lips, so I started nipping at his neck.
"Wait," he panted. "I haven't got any–"
"I'm on birth control," I cut him off. He nodded.
Derek's warm hands pulled the zipper down on the back of my strapless top and it fell to the ground. He glanced down, probably hoping to see something, but it was my pure white boob tube.
My lip twitched. He is such a breast man.
His hands trailed up and down my back, before going lower, over my butt to the back of my thighs. I didn't even have time to think as he swiftly lifted me up. I wiggled my toes and got my flats off and my legs automatically wrapped themselves around his waist.
He walked forwards, softly placing me on his make-shift bed, him following. I loosened my hold around his neck and waist.
I almost gasped when he grinded his hips against mine. I blinked a couple times, feeling my eyes shift to purple as I felt a throbbing feeling between my legs, Derek must of noticed because he chuckled as his eyes glowed red.
I reattached my lips to his, my hands trailing down his naked chest to his belt.
I know how he said he wanted what I saw in the vision, but he didn't mean now.
To me it wasn't just sex. It was love. And I deeply love Derek and everything about him. After we were done, Derek and I were laying on his bed, under the blankets. My legs were tangled with his, stealing some of his warmth. His arm was securely wrapped around my waist.
I couldn't tell if he was asleep or awake, until I felt his lips pressed up against my shoulder blade.
"Did you know you have a birthmark shaped like a waxing crescent on your shoulder?" I nodded slowly. "I never noticed it before." I bit my lip to keep myself from smiling. Of course he never noticed, it was either mostly covered up or he was 'too busy' to notice.
I turned around, facing him, "I also have one shaped like a star on my ankle." My fingertips lightly traced his six pack. My gaze travelled up his chest and into his loveable, green eyes. He was already looking at me, smiling softly.
"What?" I asked curiously, blinking a couple of times.
"Nothing," he answered whispering.
I narrowed my eyes playfully. "Spill it," I said.
He sighed, using his fingertips to draw random shapes on my hip, "I love you, you know that, right?" Sometimes it still felt weird for Derek to say that to me.
I moved closer so we were chest to chest. I put my hand to his cheek and he leaned into the touch. "I love you too," I whispered against his lips, before pressing mine to his.
Suddenly, Derek had rolled us over so he was hovering over me.
"Round two?" He offered, breaking our lip contact, trailing his kisses to my neck.
I gnawed on my bottom lip, tucking it in. "It's getting late, my parents will be wondering where I am." Although, that didn't stop me from running one of my hands through his hair, digging my five white painted nails in slightly.
Waves of pleasure rolled through me, and possibly Derek too.
"Five minutes," his voice was muffled against my skin, sending shivers down my spine.
"What could we possibly do in five minutes?" I breathed out, holding in a moan.
"A lot," he whispered against my lips.
~Flashback Over~
A shiver ran up my spine as I thought back to that night. It wasn't exactly the most cleanest place to have sex, let alone conceive a baby.
Sighing, I looked around me, checking to see if anyone had arrived. I was alone. I found a sofa and claimed it immediately. Setting my bag on the floor, I began to lay back horizontally, taking up the whole sofa, rubbing my hand over my stomach that will only get bigger.
Just as I was going to close my eyes and relax, the subway station door opened and shut. I took a whiff of the air and smelt Derek. His footsteps echoed throughout the station.
"You're here early," I heard Derek say.
"Yeah," I sighed, "I didn't want to stay at home."
"Did something happen?"
"Nope," I said popping the 'p'.
"Well, what about last night?"
"What about it?" I turned my head to face him, he was staring at me with his piercing green eyes.
"You seemed agitated when you called," he responded. I shrugged with innocence. He sighed in irritation, rubbing his hand over his face. "Why do you keep lying to me?" He asked, crossing his arms just below his chest, flexing his biceps.
I dragged my eyes away from his muscles to look him in the eyes. "Keep?" I quizzed in disbelief, getting off the sofa and walking closer to him, "Name one time I lied to you, just one."
"About the pregnancy."
I rolled my eyes, "I wasn't lying, I was trying to wrap my head around it, and plus, we weren't talking when I found out so I couldn't exactly tell you that I'm pregnant and your father."
"What about your date with Adam last night or that your leaving to go to France when you graduate?" Busted.
I fiddled with my fingers. "How'd you find out?" There was no point in lying.
"That doesn't matter," he shook his head, "Were you ever going to tell me?"
"Yes...eventually," I answered.
He crossed his arms over his chest. "Do you know I'm gonna feel when you're half way across the world?"
"I need this, Derek!" I snapped, shocking myself at volume of my voice, "So much has happened in this town, and its caused me pain, so I'm going whether you like it or not," I took a deep breath, "and as for the date, it's really none of your business. I'm allowed to date whoever I want."
As I took a step backwards, Derek's arm shot out and pulled me close to him, "Actually it is my business when you've got a triskele on your back." I guess I couldn't hide the shock on my face. "I know you have it, I had the same dream."
"It was just a dream," I said softly, getting out of his grip and walking back over to the sofa. Closing my eyes, I rubbed my smooth forehead, feeling a headache coming on.
I felt the sofa sink in next to me.
Peeking my eyes open, I saw Derek. I quickly turned my head I saw him turn to face me.
"I'm...I'm sorry," he struggled to say. I would of cracked a laugh if I wasn't angry at him. "You're right, you're allowed to date who ever you want," he sighed, "I know that deep down you're still angry at me from when I bit your Mum." I looked back to him, my face was void of any emotion or expression. "And I know that it's going to take more than an apology and a new friendship for you to forgive me, but I'm willing to do anything for you to completely trust me."
I searched his eyes, trying to see if I can detect any lies. There weren't. "It might...take a while," I said sighing.
"I'll wait then," he said simply.
I nodded shortly.
"And as for France," he started, looking away from me, "It's your life and I completely understand you want to leave for a while. I think I'll be okay, as long as I get some kind of confirmation that you're okay, both of you."
It was silent for a few seconds before leaned over, wrapping my arms around him. A beat went by and then he returned the hug. "I'll be back before the due date," I promised, nuzzling into his neck. Wait–nuzzling? I froze, letting go and pulling away.
I cleared my throat, avoiding looking at him. "I don't know why I did that."
I heard him chuckle, "It's okay. Wolves do that, seeking comfort from one another."
I nodded, feeling awkward. Then I decided to change the subject.
"I know it's early, but I've been thinking about names," I spoke, fiddling with the arms of my reading glasses. "But there's none I can think of that sound right. So I want you to pick." I turned in my seat and looked him straight in the eyes.
"Grace," he said quietly. I'm beginning to think he's already thought about this before. "It was my grandmother's name."
I smiled softly. "Grace it is. Grace Argent-Hale."
"Argent-Hale?" He repeated, clearly very amused. I could see it in his eyes and face.
"Yes," I confirmed. "I'm pretty sure if I just put down 'Hale' my Dad will start World War Three," I joked.
He nodded, his lips twitching into a smile. "Grace Argent-Hale."
All morning and afternoon I had keep quiet, only drinking, eating and writing songs. I got asked to write one for prom. The only time I spoke was when I was spoken to.
"Can you teach me some french?"
I looked up from my lyric book to see Isaac standing in front of me. I pursed my lips, "Why?"
"I think one day I might go to France, and also I wanna learn another language. So...what do you say?"
I sighed, closing my book. "Are you a fast learner?" I asked.
He opened his mouth and closed it a few times, "I can be." He sat down next to me.
"Do you know how to say 'Hello'?" I asked.
"Bonjour," he answered. I nodded.
"What about 'How are you?'" He shook his head. "Comment allez-vous?"
"You have an accent," he told me, "It's cute."
I sighed, "You're getting distracted."
"Can't we take a break?" He pleaded with puppy dog eyes.
"We just started," I exclaimed with wide eyes. His eyes flickered to stomach. "Isaac?" No response.
"Hey!" I barked, snapping him out of his trance. "Stop staring, it's rude."
"It's loud," he commented, talking about the little heartbeat inside of me.
"I know, I can hear it," I said, nodding.
"How do you tune it out?" He asked.
"Focus on something else," I shrugged.
He closed his eyes, and when he opened them, he shook his head.
"Give me your hand," I demanded softly.
Isaac held out his hand, and I grabbed his wrist. I gently put his hand on my stomach, ignoring the familiar growl that was emitted from Derek.
Suddenly Isaac yanked his hand away, holding it into his chest.
I looked at him weirdly. "What's wrong?" I asked.
"It felt weird," he whispered. "Have you ever watched Alien vs Predator?" I nodded, squinting my eyes slightly. "When she moved, it reminded me of when the aliens move in the people's body."
I glared. "Are you comparing me being pregnant to an alien movie?"
"N–no," he stuttered with wide eyes, "I–I was just saying–"
I growled, grabbing my book and got off the sofa. I walked away from him.
I whimpered, rubbing my forehead. I could feel a part of the shift coming on. My hands started to ache and I saw claws were replacing my white painted nail. I gasped, quickly checking my reflection in my iPad. My eyes were glowing red, then changed to orange and then a warm golden hue.
I put my iPad back in my bag and ran around until I found Derek and the others.
"My eyes," I panted, pausing to catch my breath, "They're not blue."
"Are they suppose to be blue?" Jackson asked.
"Yes," I nodded vigorously. "They went from red, orange and then gold."
"Are you sure you killed him?" Peter asked, "Did you check for a pulse?"
I went to reply, but something else caught my attention. "How do you even know about James?" I raised my eyebrows. "Did you do your research on me?"
He opened his to reply, but I quickly cut him off, "Actually I don't want to know. And no, I did not check for his pulse."
"Why not?" Derek asked.
"I killed him...with my mind, checking for a pulse wasn't really at the top of the list."
"Was his body ever found?"
I shook her head, "No, so I assumed an animal or something took his body."
I pursed my lips, "Maybe my eyes aren't blue because I wasn't a werewolf when he died."
"Why did you kill this James guy?" Isaac questioned, walking up behind me with a skinny, rectangular box in his hands. "And his came for you." I raised my eyebrows. What's in the box?
"Personal reasons," I replied, answering his question.
"Who got you that?" Cassie asked, nodding her head to the box.
"I don't know," I answered, "no one else knows I'm here."
I took the card and held it between the gap in my fingers. I decided to open the box first, before opening the card. I pulled the lid off and inside was a single red rose.
"What's in there?" I heard Cassie ask.
I picked up the rose and showed them.
"Well, that's nice," Isaac commented.
I scowled, "I don't 'em."
"The rose?" He asked. I nodded. "Why don't you?"
"Because they're too cliché," I shrugged, putting the rose back and placing the box on the ground.
I opened the envelop and took out the note from inside. 'I hear you're pregnant.' I frowned, pursing my lips.
"Well?" Jackson pressed on.
"I hear you're pregnant," I repeated.
"Well, that's way too creepy," Cassie said, walking over to me. She took the note and read it herself.
"'Hear'," she mumbled, and then said it again. "Hey, what if it's an Alpha?"
"What makes you say that?" Peter asked.
"Well, for one, if you listen closely on Maddie, you can hear another heartbeat and also smell the hormonal changes," she explained.
"You can smell that?" I asked, suddenly feeling a little violated.
"And two," she continued, ignoring me, "I did see an Alpha's eyes at the school."
"You saw that?" I quizzed, "I thought I was going crazy."
She turned to me, "You're not crazy."
"Have you seen the Alpha before? Derek asked, frowning deeply.
Time to come clean. "Yes," I whispered.
"And you didn't tell me?!" He exclaimed.
I squeezed my eyes shut, flinching at the sound of his voice. I could feel Grace move around.
I heard him sigh, and I hesitantly opened my eyes.
"When?" He asked calmly.
"Last night," I answered quietly, "at my window."
"That's why you called me," he realised.
I nodded, "I thought it was you."
"What did the Alpha do?"
I shook my head. "Nothing, it just stared at me."
I panted, rubbing my jaw. It honestly felt like I was teething all over again. I leaned over the couch, wincing in pain.
"Maddie." Looking up I found Derek looking down at me. I sighed, parting my lips ever so slightly. "How are you feeling?"
My eyes narrowed into his eyes. "What do you think?" I snapped lowly, wincing again.
I heard him sigh, "Come with me."
I stood up and followed him around the station. We stopped at a large door.
"What's in there?" I asked, cocking my head to the side.
"Go have a look." It was dark inside, but my curiosity got the better of me. Swallowing, I cautiously walked in. I glanced around and then the sound of a door shutting behind me made me jump. I turned around to see darkness.
"Derek?" I called.
I shifted my eyes and looked all around in the room I was in. My eyes fell on a light switch and I turned it on.
A bright light glowed from above me, shining in every corner. There were no windows and the only way out was blocked. I sighed, knowing I couldn't get out. I wasn't supposed to.
I sat down on the ground, my back leaning against the wall.
A couple minutes laters I started sweating. I glared at the closed door, before getting up and banging on it.
My clawed hand curled around the doorknob and tried to turn it, but something stopped. I growled, applying pressure to the doorknob. I heard something crack causing me to grin. I slammed the side of my body into the door. It made a screeching sound and my eyes darted to the hinges. I grabbed a hold of the doorknob again and ripped it off.
The door swung open a little bit and my eyes shifted again.
I walked out and looked around the station in my sight. I didn't see anyone, until I caught a scent. Turning to my right, I saw Peter standing in front of me.
"What are you doing out?" His taunting voice flooded my ears.
I grinned, showing him my sharp canines. His smirk dropped.
I went to strike down at him, but his hand caught my clawed one. I growled, using my other hand but he caught that one too. Using his strength, he pushed me backwards
When he turned around, I narrowed my eyes and jumped on his back. My arm snaked around his chin, applying pressure as if I were going to break his neck.
Next thing I know, I'm being thrown across the room, landing on my wrist. I winced in pain as it cracked.
"Peter!" I heard a familiar voice yell.
"She came at me."
I slowly got off the dirty floor, putting my wrist back in place. I growled, looking up. Peter stood across from me with his arms crossed.
I went to walk over to him, but Cassie stood in front of me.
"You don't want to do this, Maddie," she said, "You don't want to hurt him."
I pouted, pretending to be sad. "You're right," I nodded, "Deep down I probably don't want to, but right now? I. Don't. Care."
I growled lowly like a predator, before pouncing. Cassie blocked my every move, which annoyed me so much. She wouldn't even fight back.
Snarling, I pushed her back with a force so hard she fell to the floor.
I went to take a step forward to her, but a hard force knocked me to the ground.
~Flashback~
"Allison," a young girl whispered, crawling up the single bed. She looked about nine years old. Her hair looked like it was black, but it was actually dark brown.
The other young girl, Allison, in the bed groaned softly.
"Allison," she repeated.
"What is it, Maddie?" The tried sister asked.
"Merry Christmas," Madison exclaimed as a happy smile appeared on her face.
Allison groaned again, "What time is it?"
The older sister looked across the room and squinted her eyes at the clock, "Six-thirty in the morning."
Madison pulled the blankets off her sister, revealing her cupcake matching pyjama top and pants. "Come on, let's go wake Mum and Dad up."
Both girls got off the bed, exiting Allison's room. Their footsteps thumped under the floorboards until they got to their parents's room.
"MERRY CHRISTMAS!" The sisters yelled, before jumping on the bed and both landing in the middle between their parents.
A/N: so that flashback ^^ was Madison's anchor.
