Hi Guys!
So, I'm sorry this one came a bit later than expected. I tried to write it abut three times but you know when you get in the place which means you cant write a sentence without miss spelling every word? Well yeah, and I thought I have better things to do that spazz out of the keyboard.
Then also, Teen wolf. I have discovered it and my life has gone down the drain. If any of you watch it or are as in love with it as I am, talk to me! None of my friends watch it so I have no one to talk to. But I am only on Season 2 episode 7 so please no spoilers.
Hope you like this one!
Sean's P.O.V.
Sean? It's time.
The voice crashed into my head, ricocheting around and leaving me cowering in the corner as the voices built and sought me out. I knew it was a good thing, that Karen was strong enough and had enough people on her side to help here, but God was it painful. Like everyone I had ever spoken in my entire life to was now screaming in my head.
As they finally faded I panted and wiped my now clammy forehead. It was time.
I wasn't ready. I didn't have a plan, didn't know what to do. I'd been here for a week and yet I had no idea about guard patrols, food, proximity to others, anything.
Sean, you idiot. You've let everyone down. You're not gonna get out of here cos you haven't memorised when the guards come round.
I smacked my face and growled at myself. "Get a grip and focus."
I walked over to the bars and wrapped my arms through them, forcing my face through the gap as far as I could. I got to my ears and gave up. But it gave me a good vantage point of the rest of the corridor. The other cells were empty, as they had been for years. The paint was peeling and the bars were rusted. Not mine though. Eva had taken no chances. My bars were in pristine condition.
I heard the alarm go off, a rounding blare of noise that made me flinch. "Crap!" I hissed through my teeth, realising that there was no way I'd get out on my own.
A guard ran by, sprinting towards the sound of disturbance and yells on the other side of the compound. I tried to grab hold of his mental emotions but the dosage of suppressants in my food must have been raised by Eva so it took me by surprise. The guard kept on running and disappeared around the corner.
I pulled my head out of the bars and started pacing like a caged animal. "Crapcrapcrap!" I ran my fingers through my hair that was growing uncomfortable long. I gave it a tug, hoping something would happen.
Nothing.
I let out a puff of air and slumped against the wall. There was no way out without back up.
I closed my eyes and tried a message like Karen's. Help me!
But I had no allies to take up my call and it died before it reached her.
My head fell and hit my knees. I blinked away a tear. It had been a long time since I'd felt so helpless.
A jangling made me look up. The guard who had run past, a young man with windswept blond hair had thrown himself down by my bars and was fiddling with his keys.
"What are you doing?" I asked stupidly.
He gave me a worried look and searched though his key chain, trying to find one. "You're Sean Danes right?"
I nodded dumbly.
"Well, I've been working here a year and I just found out that my mother has been trapped in the older section for the last seven years. I had never been told. So, now that's there's a break out," He pulled one key out and gave me a triumphant look. "I'm lending a hand."
"Huh." I had a moment of whatthehellisgoingonisodidnotseethatonecoming before I scrambled to my feet and he threw open the cell door.
"I'm Steve."
"Hey."
We were both already running towards the sound of the alarm when I started to hear gunshots.
"What the hell are they doing?!" I yelled at Steve.
He kept running at my side. "The women got hold of some guns and are now systematically taking out all the guards. I'm not sure how many there are left.
I glanced over at his surprisingly pristine uniform. "You may have to get rid of your clothes."
He looked down while running. "Oh, right. Didn't think about that one."
We rounded a corner and I got blasted in the face by a spray of rubble from the wall. I yelled with pain and threw Steve and myself behind the corner. There was a shoot-out between three women and two guards, and the bullets weren't hitting their targets. The women had got their telekinesis back and the guards' bullets were flying everywhere.
"Other way!" I shouted over the gunfire at Steve and we ran back round through a maze of cells.
We were panting by the time we got to a safer corridor convergent. There was wreckage littering the floor and the body of a guard was slumped by the wall. Steve ran over and stuck two of his fingers under his chin. "Nothing."
I turned away and ran my hand over my face. "Shit."
I agreed with Karen about this. While it was completely right to try and get out of here, while The Cat House was completely wrong, this did not warrant killing. Some of these women had been stuck here for decades. Most had been driven mad by the constant worry and abuse. I was now seriously worried that the guards would just shoot them and they would shoot the guards. Prison was better for these people than death. But it seemed like we got there a bit late.
"Do you know where Karen is?" I asked Steve as he pulled off his guard uniform jacket to reveal just a plain blue polo shirt.
"Oh, your girl. No, no idea."
I sighed and picked up the gun by the side of the dead guard. "Now these are just for self-defence Steve. Don't try and avenge your mum by shooting to kill. She wouldn't want you to be a murderer."
Steve gave me a disgusted look. "Oh please, don't patronise me. You can't be more than three years older than me and from what I've heard you're not exactly a role model when it comes to killing."
I looked away. It had been a few weeks since my past had come back to bite me again but it looked like I would never live it down. "That's over."
Steve barked a laugh and pulled out his holstered gun. "It never really is though, is it?"
He turned away and started walking towards the gunshots.
I sighed and follow him, a dark pit in my stomach where I wondered if he was right.
Good?
Please leave a review or message me about Teen wolf. Probably another chapter on Sunday.
