'Happy new year Jethro' Jenny said curled up in his lap with a glass of warm milk at midnight. It was just the two of them as Kelly was at a party with Mark and was going to stay at his house something Gibbs was not happy about though Jenny had pointed out that she wasn't a child and could make her own decisions.
'Happy new year Jen.' As he spoke they both felt the baby kick as he had his arms around her. They laughed and then he said 'happy new year to you two princess.' Then he kissed jenny.
She broke the kiss a few seconds later and got up. 'I'm going to bed you coming Jethro?' he nodded and took her hand as the two walked up stairs to bed.
At 3 am Gibbs phone rang waking him and Jenny he expected it to be Kelly calling to say she changed her mind about staying at Marks and could he get her but no it was Abby. 'Hey Abs.' He said.
On the other end of the phone came crying and then Abby screamed and the line went dead. 'Shit' Gibbs muted and tried to call her back but it went straight to voicemail.
'What's wrong Jethro?' jenny asked sleepily.
'Abby called and she was crying then there was a scream and the line went dead. Now she isn't answering. I'm going to kill Tim.' Gibbs seethed, then he called McGee.
'Err boss its 3 am what's wrong?' came Tim's sleepy voice when he answered on the third ring.
'Where is Abby?' barked Gibbs getting up and getting dressed.
'I don't know she went out with that friend of hers in the heavy metal band why?' he asked now very awake.
'Ping her phone for me I'm going to get her.'
A minute later Gibbs had the address and turned to Jenny, 'I'm going to get her and bring her back here is that ok?' he asked and she nodded.
'Just bring her back safe Jethro she's the baby.' Jenny said and with that he left.
Fifteen minutes later he came to where her phone was and found her sat on a bench in the park.
'Hey Abs come here.' He said as she climbed into his lap and cried in to his shirt as Kelly had done when she was little.
'I did something stupid Gibbs.' She said.
'What you do Abs?'
'I kissed my friend but I love Timmy and now I'm worried he'll hate me.'
'Look at me,' Gibbs said four sing her to look up 'you are drunk and not thinking clearly tell Tim tomorrow and he will understand. Now you are coming home with me we'll put you to bed and in the morning you will have a hangover but you will feel better so come on.' He told her picking her up and carrying her to the car.
'Did you get her?' Jenny asked coming out as soon as she heard the car pull up outside at 4 when Gibbs got back.
'Yeah I got her and she's Ok. Come on Abs let's get you to bed.'
They took her to bed the Jenny called Tim and told him Abby was ok and they went to bed themselves exhausted.
