Chapter 25

In the super secret karaoke room, Luna says, "If we cooperate, we can save Yugi. When daddy's powers shone, the real Yugi appeared for just a moment."

Yami remembers seeing Yugi under the Evil Mercury form, "Yami…"

"If our power were to become bigger," Luna says.

Joey cuts in, "Because of that, we have to awaken as real soldiers like Yami did."

"Exactly!" Luna says. "The power of you soldiers can become much stronger!"

Tristan nods. Joey does, too and then remembers Venus saying, "Please remember your real soldier powers."

As Joey walks back to the shrine he started to remember the real world when he and Yugi started out as friends. Yeah Joey was a bully but when Yugi stood up against the biggest one of all, it was the starting point of their friendship. Then Joey got an idea. He went back to the abandon amusement park and got his transformation item out. "Mars Power…Make up!" Once he was done he yelled out, "Black Raven! I know you're here! Come out and face me!" Then he heard some music and looked around for the source of it.

The song was 'Can't Be Tamed'. Bad song yes, but it was a nice intro. Then he heard the song getting louder and louder. It was coming from behind. He turned his head and he saw Black Raven with a boom box. She stopped the music. "You rang?"

Joey said, "I noticed that Venus fighting was somewhat better when he fought Sonicexe. I know you fought her and I want you to fight me."

Black Raven cocked her head to the side. "You want to fight me hand-to-hand combat? I think we can do that. While my fight against her was out of frustration, we can use this as a training tool. She got out a black blindfold, skated up to him and wrapped it around his eyes. "Your first part of your training, fallow your instinct or your eyes." Then she skated to the boom box and put the volume on max. "And don't trust your ears. Block all my attacks." She pressed the button and the same music started again. This time it was a 10-hour loop. Joey covered his ears trying to block out the horrible music but Black Raven lowered his arms uncovering his ears. "Don't cover them."

Joey got into a fighting stance and was ready for this training to start. Black Raven was already beating him up and Joey wasn't doing a very good job blocking the attacks. "Come on Tea was a better fighter then this. Don't tell me she's a better fighter then you like she beats you every time she duels you!"

Joey growled and tried to fight back and block every attack Black Raven throws at him. But so far he wasn't winning. Finally Black Raven had enough and turned off the boom box. "If you want to save Yugi you need to get your head out of your ass and focus."

Joey took the blindfold off. "How can you not be distracted after what happened to Yugi?" he asked.

She replied, "Cause sometimes you have to look at this like 'an enemy is your friend and your friend is the enemy'. You mind set is 'my friend is my friend, and my enemy is my enemy'. What would happen, if Anubis sends you bad versions of your friends? Would you hug them or fight them?" She walked up to him. "Need I remind you, you once fought Yugi when you were under Marik's mind control or how 5 computer minds took the form of Tristan and you had to fight him?"

Joey remembered all of those times and went to his knees. "This is different. Yugi never went back. Last time he was bad he taught Yami a lesson when we were up against Dartz. When I went against Yugi when I was under control, it tore me apart and I never completely got over it. As for Tristan, even though we found out it was all an illusion, it felt so real and we had no choice but to fight. How is this any different?"

Black Raven skated up to him and kneels down before him and put a hand on his shoulder. "It's different because Yugi isn't himself, he's being control by someone and it's up to you and your friends to save him. He did it to you, to Tristan and to Yami. Why not do the same thing for him?"

Joey sighs and put the blindfold back on. "Alright I'm ready to try again." Black Raven turned on the music and started training again. This time, Joey was getting better. He leaned to drown out the sounds and started to block every attack Black Raven throws at him. After a while Joey got control when he started to attack Black Raven.

After about 3 hours, Black Raven turned off the music and got the blindfold off. "You did well. Now go there's trouble at the hospital!"

Joey nodded and ran off but as he ran he got his cell. "Yami we got trouble!"

The youma walks speedily down a hall in the hospital and Tea feels it. She ran to that direction, "Venus Power! Make-up!" Venus pops out of a door, running from the youma. She pauses and fires her beam at it. It breaks the beam and Venus looks at it disappointed.

"Venus!" Luna yells runs up a flight of stairs toward the youma.

Yami arrived and looks at Venus and then Venus looks at the youma. "Moon Prism Power! Make-up!" The youma jumps down some stairs and Venus and Moon follow. They run out into a more open space, which is surprisingly deserted. The youma stops and Venus poses. Moon mirrors him. Venus cartwheels by and Moon goes to kick the youma. The youma turns around and Venus does a couple of spinning kicks. Moon grabs its back and kicks over his head to kick it. The youma stumbles away past a spinning Venus. The two Sailors mirror pose and nod to each other. They cartwheel toward the youma and pose again. Venus does her signature jump over the youma and land opposite of the other Sailor. Venus blows on her hand shape and moon does a similar pose.

The youma looks at the two worriedly. "Venus Love Me Chain!"

"Moon Twilight Flash!" The youma explodes into a green mess. Venus and Moon bring their hands down from their attacks and notice that there is a green goop holding their feet down. "What is this?!" Moon says.

"Daddy!" Luna shouts. Moon tries to get his feet unstuck, but then Luna gasps and Moon looks over to see Sonicexe smiling evilly. Venus looks over and gasps. Moon struggles some more.

"You fell for my trap, Sailor Soldiers," Sonicexe says.

Suddenly, a blast of fire stops him. Sailor Mars is on the other side of the room blasting him. Mars then flips over him and the other two Sailors look at him. "Joey!" Moon shouts.

He nods and as a helicopter's blades begin to turn, he says, "The soldier of flames and passion, Sailor Mars! In the name of the planet Mars, I'll punish you!"

The two stare each other down. Mars then poses and Shang flips his cape. Venus winces and Moon gasps. Sonicexe concentrates blue lightning energy as he growls. Mars just smiles and twists his hands cutely. Mars passes one arm out through the air, creating an arc of fire. He passes the other arm out which creates another arc of fire. Mars then holds his arms down and brings them up as he turns, concentrating more fire. Red energy enters the brooch on his front jewel and he holds a ball of fire in his hands. "Yōma taisan!"

"Sailor Mars!" Luna says. Venus gasps as does Moon. The attack breaks through Sonicexe and causes him to explode. Mars holds his pose in an area of warmth.

Pharaoh Moon notices his feet are free, and he and Venus run up to Mars. "Joey, glad you're here!"

"Mars, your soldier powers have awakened!" Luna says next to them.

"Don't thank me. Thank Black Raven. She helped me." said Joey

"All she did was kick my ass." Venus says.

Mars looks to Moon who is smiling. Mars remembers Yami saying, "When we depend on somebody, we have to trust them. Good luck!"

Mars then thinks, "Trust my partners…"

"But that's not everything." Venus says. Then she walks away.

"Joey, you did it! When Tristan awakens, we can save Yugi!" Moon says.

Mars nods, "Right!"

"So how was the training?" he asked.

Joey groans. "Let's just say I officially hate Miley Cyrus." The 2 laugh.
