GMG: Second Performance: Solo
(Normal POV)
Natsu hurried a whining Lucy down the hall. "Don't worry we'll get it fixed up by tomorrow." He grinned, trying to reassure Lucy. "But Natsu tomorrow is solo! I'm not doing solo you are. So it'll be fine if I can't-"
"No it won't be." He said coldly, she turned her attention back to the fast approaching door with 'Fairy Tail' written on it.
Natsu kicked down the door and pushed it open with his knee. Gramps eyes widened in anger, than softened "NATSU WHAT ARE Y- What happened to Lucy?" He ran over and laid her on the couch, sitting beside her and pettin her hair "that bitch-"
"Natsu language" Gramps warned.
"That bitch Lisanna kicked her in the foot!" Natsu scowled, putting emphasis on bitch, Gramps clutched his fists till they turned white. "One of my children hurting another!" He screamed angrily and Mira ran to Lucy and quickly wrapped her ankle. "Now Lucy, you probably shouldn't walk on it to keep the swelling down.
"They're trying to sabotage us!" Gajeel yelled, angrily punching the table and making the things on it rattle.
"I'm fine guys, tomorrow's Natsu's solo anyway I just need to stand and I can do that." Lucy reassured them, using Mira's shoulder to help herself push of the couch. Barely with her foot touching the ground.
The gave her a sad smile and Natsu went huffed and went beside her, throwing her arm over her shoulder and supporting her weight. "Mira told you not to walk!" Natsu scolded.
"Let's just go grab some lunch and head back to the hotel for rest." Erza suggested, and they all nodded.
"Maybe we should go to a movie tonight?" Wendy chirped. "Yea sounds good short stuff" Gajeel cooed, petting Wendy's hair which just annoyed her.
Natsu scooped Lucy up bridal style and headed out the door "can come one grab our bags, I've got an extra load."
"Hey!" Lucy whined, slapping his chest "I could try and walk"
"Nope."
Lucy huffed in annoyance. She didn't want to be the weak one or the one whose always hurt. They didn't even know why Lisanna did this, for revenge, or for help in the competition? Natsu walked out the back doors to be raged my fans.
"OMG it's nalu!"
"You guys are so cute!"
"Natsu you have to share Lucy!"
They cooed and cheered frantically. Natsu slowly let Lucy down and she cushioned her fall with the good foot, than slowly let the other one hover over the ground.
"Guys guys! We need to get passed to our car," Natsu smiled and the girls cheered, still not moving.
Natsu scooped Lucy up once again and kissed her cheek "we have a date" he announced, this time, the fans squealed and let them passed, Natsu mentally fist bumped himself and ran towards the rental van and helped Lucy into the front seat and he plopped into the back.
Lucy glanced back at her boyfriend, who was clenching his fist angrily, she knew he'd be plotting revenge right about now. "Natsu.. I'll be fine don't worry alright. And you don't need revenge-"
"Of course I nee revenge they-" Lucy grabbed his chin and kissed him to stop talking, Natsu didn't mind this type of being hushed. Than Lucy pulled away, faces still inches apart "we'll get revenge by beating them in the Grand Musical Games. Alright?" She suggested cautiously. She glanced to the side and saw all the others coming out, than she pulled away and awaited their arrival.
"Where to?" Gildarts smiled, pulling I to the drivers seat and fastened his seat belt. "Let's see where the road takes us!" Gramps cheered optimistically. Lucy smiled and glanced down at her throbbing foot, she felt sharp pains radiating the ankle area.
'Why would Lisanna do this? From what I've heard about her she's not that bad of a person.' Lucy thought, shaking her head.
"Lucy!"
"Hmm?" Lucy jumped surprised at the sound of Erza's voice booming from the back seat.
"Where She Went or The Fault In Our Stars?" Erza asked, reciting movie titles. Lucy sat for a moment, thinking, and tapping her chin repetitively.
"Ummm... Where She Went?" Lucy suggested shrugging. She heard groans from Gajeel who didn't like the sound of either romance and cheers and steals from Mira.
"Ek I heard that's really good it's about a girl who has like the perfect life..."
"Lucy get up!" Erza yelled, waking the sleeping beauty that we know as Lucy. She groaned groggily and flipped over on her side, forgetting her ankle.
"Ahh!" She winced in pain, slowly moving the covers off the bed.
"What's wrong?" Erza leaped to her side and examined her foot, "I'm fine" Lucy hissed in pain as Erzas finger brushed her ankle. "You're not fine." Erza assured her as Lucy pulled up some black loose sweat short shorts and threw on a T-shirt, trying to stand up.
"Hold on" Erza ran to the opposite wall and banged furiously. "Erza!" Lucy shrieked.
"Remember we have to be their early to see who is out and what our position. Although I think we'll be fine since that one twilight ogre guy fell off the stage." Erza shrugged and the door flew open, revealing a very distressed Natsu and Jellal.
"What's wrong?" They panted very worriedly, placing their hands on their knees.
"It's Lucy, she needs help" Erza shrugged, walking into the washroom Natsu and Jellal ran to Lucy's bed.
"I'm fine" she lied swiping her hand.
"Can you move it?" Natsu asked tenderly.
"Uh.. Well I- no." She said, fighting her mind to find the right words.
"Then you're not fine." He sighed, sitting on the bed beside her.
"I'll go get Mira so she can wrap it for you." Jellal scurried out of their room so he could find the make-shift-medic Mira.
"Natsu what about outfits. Got yours ready?" She asked, breaking his worried face into a smile.
"Yep! Can't wait for my solo, I'm all fired up!" He cheered like a child. Lucy giggled at how immature he was.
"Lucy darling I'm here! I'll wrap you up quickly and we'll go alright?" Mira questioned carrying the med bag into the room and collapsing beside Lucy's injury.
"Alright!" Lucy sighed, not bothering to fight with the girl about it.
"And the guild, not moving foreword is..." The announcer called over the microphone. All the bands where on stage in their next performance costumes, holding their groups hands, praying they don't have to deal with the embarrassment of being first gone "TWILIGHT OGRE!" The man called and the audience booed, the group of five called Twilight Fury hung their heads low and exited the stage. The remaining groups jumped in joy- except Lucy of course- who was hiding her injury by smiling and clapping.
"This is the order for the Solo competition. 1- Raven Tail! 2- Lamia Scale! 3- Saberooth! 4- Mermaid Heel! 5- Fairy Tail! 6- Blue Pegasus! And finally Quatro Puppy!" The man called and the crowd cheered at their favourite guild. They all ran off stage except for one unnoticed hobbler.
"We can deal with 5th! Let's go get ready and rehearse you're lines one last time!" Erza stated, pointing at Natsu, who fist bumped and grinned widely. "Have fun hobbling" Minerva scoffed staring at Lucy, who glared back.
"Don't-"
"It was you wasn't it! You told Lisanna to do that to me!" Lucy shouted in frustration, cutting off Natsu.
"Me? How dare you? Don't you think Lisanna's angry with you stealing her boy toy" Minerva taunted, walking away.
"Lucy just drop it, Lis isn't as good as you think she is. Why do you think different." Erza questioned, glaring daggers at Minerva's back.
"Because people don't change that drastically that fast." Lucy hissed, trying to hobbled away dramatically, but Natsu caught up to her and picked her up, carrying her down to the changing room.
Natsu emerged from the changing room minutes later. He had in black skinny jeans and a white t-shirt and a striking red leather jacket, he also had on red Supras. And his inner fire medallion dangling from his neck.
He ran his fingers threw his hair, smiling in the mirror.
'Damn I look hot.' He smirked in the mirror. He heard the changing room door rattle and spun to see his beautiful girlfriend standing in the doorway. She had on red dress coming down mid thigh and a black belt on her stomach. She also had on a black leather jacket and leather knee high boots,
Even if he was the soloist, Lucy was definitely going to steal the show. He'll steal something else though. All the dancers had on black jeans with black leather jackets and red hoodies, they where all guys for this performance.
"Ready?" She smiled briefly before practicing walking, without stumbling. "I'd this necessary."
"What?"
"Having you pretend to not be hurt, it'll just hurt you more Luce." Natsu scolded. Lucy hobbled steadily over and placed a hand on his shoulder "ifs hey know I'm injured they might pull me from the comp and I don't want that. Mira said she heard of some special cream that makes injuries disappear. She has to call Grandine though to get it." She shrugged
"So I'll be fine tomorrow. Now don't worry and carry me!" She smiled, opening her arms.
"We missed Sabertooth." He pouted, throwing Lucy over his shoulder like a sac of potatoes.
"Ophf! Natsu!" She shrieked, Natsu just smirked and continued his way to the stage.
"... Ignorance is you're new best friend!..." Lisanna's voice rang through the crowd. She had just finished her solo called Ignorance. She wrote it about her time at fairy tail. And how all her friends have replaced her, with Lucy.
She glanced at the side of the stage, watching Natsu carefully examine Lucy while she didn't notice.
She only wished he would look at her that way.
The way he looked at Lucy, with love and protection. The way she doesn't notice his feeling that are so bluntly stated. She wanted to be Natsu's 'Lucy'. I guess now that's she's used that term she must face the obvious.
Natsu loves Lucy.
Not her.
She turned back to the crowd and smiled, running off the opposite side of the stage.
"Please welcome... Mermaids Melody! From the guild... Mermaid Heel!" Lucy heard the pumpkin man call, she heard scattered cheers for some girl named Kagura. And the theatre roared with cheers like always.
"Lucy, did Mira get you the sky cream for you're ankle?" Gramps greeted, walking over to them. "She said she was going today and she wants this performance video taped. She went to visit Grandine." Lucy shrugged, Natsu slung his arm around her.
"I'll take good care of her" he grinned slyly. Gramps raised a brow and turned to the rest of the group. "Alright team, we made it passed round 1. Now we need the rest... You ready?" He spoke softly.
"Master, we were born ready... And now that they hurt Lucy theirs no way we'll be voted off. Nobody hurts our family and gets away with it!" Erza smiled, Lucy felt the sting of tears behind her chocolate brown eyes. 'I don't think I've ever had a family before.' She thought smiling
"Please Welcome.. A fan favourtite... Fairy Tail!" The announcer cheered and Natsu help Lucy onto Stage and set her beside Wendy. The rest of the band took their positions by their instruments and Natsu went to the other side of the curtain.
