She looked at him, with a curious look, a grin mostly. Sesshomaru didn't know what was her reasoning being here, but if it was, it was something she either wanted or to ignore him with her gossip or whatever it was. He normally ignore her, nevertheless but this time she was here after his little battle with Naraku of all things. Sayuri looked at her son parting her lips to speak,

"I only came here, because I sense something happened to you. And from the looks of it…" she paused herself looking at his left arm. Clean off was more like it in her eyes, yet she was intrigue that it didn't grow back. Whatever it was, sure did so much damage. "I was right."

"Anything else you want to say, before I leave, mother?" his cold stern voice, shivered his mothers spine. Lady Sayuri didn't even showed her shivering, she was strong and like her she was powerful compare to her only and eldest son in front of her.

"I was wondering when I will see your intended mate. If she is a demoness like you say she is."

"I wouldn't lie to you mother. You would have already sense it." Sesshomaru knew his mother was playing some sort of trick on him. Sayuri only curled her lip, before gazing at her son.

"And why would you think that? This isn't some sort of game I am playing here, Sesshomaru. I only wanted to meet her. Am I your only mother cannot see your intended mate? Are you ever going to see that I am not who I was to you." she frown at him, making him only stare at her. He never trusted her, even for the slightest minute, after all she was the one that abandon him, even when his father died. She cast him away, never showing her face to him and yet now since Izayoi died and the pup being taken care of. She showed up, causing him to wonder of her true purpose for wanting to be in his life. Was it something she wanted or has she really change, he didn't know and he didn't want to find out. He turned his back against her, following the pups wherever they were. Lady Sayuri only chuckled to herself, "You are just like your father, Sesshomaru. Never saying anything and leaving me to wonder about my life." Sesshomaru stopped himself as a gentle breeze passed by him letting his long flowing hair swung from side to side. His bangs parting and he closed his eyes.

"I will never be like him."

"Than why do it now? To your own mother?" Sesshomaru didn't know what to say to her. For once he didn't really have a straight answer for her.

"Hn." she knew what he meant. Lady Sayuri folded her arms across her chest. She never spoke another word to him, until he heard his voice. "You will do as you wish, should you treat her poorly this Sesshomaru will want nothing from you." he moved away from her. Using his speed, he followed his pups scents. Lady Sayuri only curled her lip,

"I shall see if she is fit to be the Lady of the West." she whispered to herself before heading inside the palace.

Kagome sat down against the library reading some scrolls that would help her become a better lady. She didn't know why she needed to, Sesshomaru loved her for who she was. On the other hand, he was very busy most of the time, so it was better than doing nothing. He was spending time with the pups and her, she wanted time to herself for one thing. Her eyes focused on the scroll that explain how she would act around ones mother. Kagome scratched her head, before realizing that a demoness was in the same room as her. She placed the scroll down on the table and gaze up to her. The markings were the same as Sesshomaru, the moon was familiar and those eyes. They were only eyes that his family would processed, no one else.

"So you must be the intended mate that Sesshomaru as courted." she spoke. Kagome stood up and bowed to her, respect. Lady Sayuri was already pleased with the girls ways, she curled her lip, reaching her hand out and lifted the young demoness chin up. Kagome was a bit scared, did she do something wrong, was she going to hate her? Those thought change, seeing as the lady just gave her a small smile. She trailed her eyes up and down her body, she was fitting in her eyes, perfect for baring pups. And even than when she saw the cherry blossom marking on her forehead, she was the heiress to the east. Perfect indeed.

"My..lady.." she spoke. She was afraid, she was like Sesshomaru when she first met him. Cold and yet not heartless at all. Just fear struck her, Lady Sayuri let go of her, before she pulled Kagome close to her body. She froze in her place, when she felt a hand rubbed against her back, now Kagome was confused indeed.

"I don't know what you did to my son. But I am happy that he has finally found someone. Better yet a princess of the east, who would of thought." pulling herself away from her. Lady Sayuri placed her hand under her chin once more making sure she was looking straight into her eyes.

"Just luck I guess…" Sayuri just shook her head,

"You are a beautiful demoness, the pups would be powerful and beautifully deadly. It shows how much the west is compare to the rest. No one would ever challenge us." Kagome gave her a small smile, the mother of the son was happy and impressed with her. Kagome thought it was the other way around. With her hand leaving her chin, Sayuri smiled to her, showing her fangs that seem to glisten in the light.

"Thank you, my lady-"

"No formalizes. We are family now, you can call me Sayuri."

"Kagome, is mine. Sayuri." she bowed to her once more.

"We will defiantly going to get along, quite nicely."

Sitting above the cherry blossom trees, Inuyasha held Rin around him. Letting the scent of the flowers dance around them while the wind blowing from side to side. It was peaceful in their own little world. Rin snuggled against his chest, his heartbeat rapidly rise and fallen, just being with his friend, he couldn't be happier.

"You promise right?" she spoke to him. She never lay eyes on him, being she was twirling her fingers though his sliver hair. Inuyasha only nodded, looking out. Sniffing the air, he only smelt his big brother. Leaning up against the tree, never letting Rin go, he looked down seeing his brother. Sesshomaru only stood there raising his face up staring at the pup.

"Pup its time to head back inside." he smelt the rain about to fall, sure it didn't come yet, but it would be better to leave now and not get Rin sick. She was human after all and at this point the wasn't going to take a chance of her being sick. Rin looked down at her lord, his arm no longer there, she was sadden that the fact that he lost it while trying to save her. She never said a word to her lord, Sesshomaru knew. Inuyasha grabbed a hold of Rin jumping down a few branches, Sesshomaru just stare at his little brother.

"Big brother?" the pup spoke, his puppy ears twitching, hearing a small sound coming from him. Sesshomaru heard it again seeing Rin placing a hand over her stomach, she blushed a little looking at her friend.

"I guess Rin is getting hungry." talking in third person would need to stop, Sesshomaru knew, but it was a child phase and he knew the other reason why.

"Lets go." the pups nodded. Inuyasha offer a ride for Rin to head back home, but Sesshomaru picked up Rin in his one arm, letting her head rest on his tail, the softness against her skin. She felt warmer than before. Inuyasha pouted, but when he saw the look his big brother was giving him, he knew what it met. His brother wanted to be alone with his friend, something very important.

"I'll go along ahead. See you soon, Rin." with that with his demonic speed. He ran passed the cherry trees heading back. Sesshomaru only started walking. Rin was a bit worried, her friend wasn't here to distract her, she looked away from him, burying herself in his fluffy tail. Sesshomaru only looked down at her, his eyes seeing the tears that were dripping down her face. The salty smell caught him,

"Rin.."

"I'm sorry.." Sesshomaru knew what she was sorry for, but she shouldn't be. He would protect her, she was his pup adopted or not.

"Don't be, it is this Sesshomaru." Rin was a bit confused, she crooked her head to the side, causing the lord to just keep his same stoic face.

"But..Rin caused Lord Sesshomaru's arm off…"

"I was blinded, because of my emotions Rin. This Sesshomaru didn't see it coming and I have to pay the price." he leaned his head down and nuzzled her neck, a feeling of forgiveness wash over her. She felt safe in his arm, she felt okay. "This Sesshomaru would rather lose his arm, than lose you again, Rin." showing his feelings for his pup, made Rin realize that her lord care for her as much as her friend and even her mother. Rin leaned up and kissed his cheek, showing she understood what he meant.

"Rin understands." as they finally headed to the palace, shutting the door behind them. The sounds of raindrops began to fallen.
