ON TIME!

Also, I've decided to call these chapters 'your weekly dose of happy feels'.

You know, cause all these chapters are just so soppy and romantic and clichéd and fluffy.

At least until something a little more dramatic happens...

Phil's P.O.V

"Dan..." I rolled over in bed, my mind waking; trying to fight sleep as it threatened to pull me back under. There were no arms that wrapped around me, no snoring filling the room, no warm presence beside me. The only thing that was there; the fading, yet still lingering scent of Dan.

"Dan?" I cracked my eyes open; keeping them at least semi closed to limit the sun that glared at me through the open window.

Dan wasn't in bed beside me, and a quick scan of the room proved useless in finding him. I was contemplating wether to leave the cosy bed to look for him when the bathroom door opened, revealing a wet, hobbit-haired Dan, towel tied around his waist. He grinned when he saw me, and I opened my eyes properly.

After all, Dan was a sight I was willing to see first thing in the morning.

"Good morning, sleepy head." Dan said, walking to the bed and sitting next to me. His hair was drying, but water still dripped off the ends. I sat up, not wanting to get flicked in the eye with water droplets.

"Morning. How long have you been up for?"

"Half an hour? I had a shower, obviously. So...20-30 minutes."

"Why were you up so early? Usually you'd just lie in bed for as long as possible, or at least until I made you get up."

"Trust me, I wanted to. But I needed to be up. We have a big day today."

"What are we...?" I was confused at first; unsure of what Dan was talking about. But then I looked into his eyes and saw the smile hidden in them. There was an excited glint to his face, a glow.

"Disneyland, Phil! The main thing you were excited about!" Dan said, laughably.

"Of course. Blame the sleep, I have just woken up."

"If I can't use that excuse, neither can you."

I sighed, sliding my hand into Dan's and intertwining our fingers.

"It's very sweet of you."

"What is?"

"Everything, really. Everything you've done this whole trip. But this, especially. I mean, you forgave sleep for me, Dan."

"Of course I did, I love you."

I raised our linked hands and kissed his knuckles.

"I love you too." I mumbled against his hand.

Using our hands, he pulled me closer against him. I tilted my head and he leaned in close. The kiss was short, shorter than I would have liked anyway; because Dan pulled away after only a moment.

"You need to get ready. Don't make my altruistic act of giving up precious sleep for you go to waste."

"But I want to kiss you." I whined.

"After you get dressed."

"Dan!" I reached out to him, but he stood up, my hands falling just short of his towel. I fell onto the bed, face first. I heard Dan laughing, and looked up to glare at him.

"Such grace with which you fall." He said, dramatically.

"You're such a jerk." I said, sitting up properly.

Dan was walking into the adjacent kitchen.

"But you love me! Coffee?"

"Please." I called back, a little disgruntled. Still annoyed, I moped to the bathroom, grumbling the whole way.

By the time I was out of the shower and dressed, the smell of fresh coffee had filled the room and I had properly woken up.

"He emerges from the misty, steam filled room. Did you fall asleep? Your coffee went cold, I made you another."

"Sorry. I was waking up."

"Clearly." Dan handed my coffee and pecked my lips.

"Mm, you smell nice."

"Thanks." I took a sip, the hot liquid warming my insides.

"It's alright; we're not paying the water bill."

Dan plugged his hair straighteners in, and stood by the mirror. I sat over on the couch, coffee in hand, and turned the TV on.

"So what's on the agenda today? Any particular rides?" Dan asked.

"Just see what happens, I guess. But we have to meet Peter Pan."

Dan looked over at me.

"Peter Pan?" He questioned. "Usually it's Disney princesses."

"Not me. I've always wanted to meet Peter Pan. And in case you hadn't noticed, I'm gay, not a little girl."

"I've noticed all those things, obviously. Does this mean I'm going to have some competition?"

"Only if he's attractive."

Dan pulled the plug and sat the straighteners on the table. He slowly walked over to me, a sly look on his face. He edged closer, silently; until his face, and lips; were only inches away from me.

"What did you say?" He whispered his voice low, and sexy.

It was too early in the morning for him to be that hot.

"I said you're the only one for me."

He laughed, his warm breath tickling my nose.

"That's not what you said. But I still believe you."

He kissed me, kneeling on the couch next to me as my hands found his waist. My eyes fluttered closed, I felt Dan's hands on my face, in my hair. I kissed back, just as hard, just as passionate.

Breathless, Dan pulled away. He looked straight at me, his nose almost touching mine. His thumb stroked my cheek.

"You've always been the only one for me." He whispered. I kissed him then, pouring out every possible inch of love I felt for him into the kiss.

"Are you ready for Disneyland?" I asked.

Dan leant back, smiling and shaking his head.

"If I didn't love you, and you weren't so bloody cute, that would have ruined the moment."

I stood up, pulling Dan towards the door.

"You love me." I said, mocking Dan's earlier comment.

We made it three steps out the door before we realised we hadn't actually grabbed anything. No keys, no phones, wallets. Nothing. But hey, we never claimed to be rocket scientists.

It was better second time round. We had everything we needed and we locked the door. We got to the elevator quickly, and Dan called a cab on the way down.

"We're going to walk around Disneyland. I don't want to walk there too."

Disneyland was absolutely teeming with people. Children of all ages, parents, siblings, guardians. Everyone had a smile on their face; except for the janitors. That couldn't be a particularly nice job. There were nicer jobs of course, such as the lovely princesses and princes that strolled around, sparkly smiles and perfect posture.

Dan slid his hand in mine, and I smiled. We spent time just walking around, observing the sights and happy children. I watched as the little kids ran around excitedly, tugging on their parents sleeves, dragging their families everywhere. The happiest were the ones who had found their favourite characters. Little princesses finding their taller versions, miniature Peter Pans fighting off Captain Hook. It filled me up with a yearning, a desire to experience the same things as their parents were.

Unfortunately, it didn't fill up my appetite.

My stomach grumbled, and Dan laughed at the sound.

"Hungry?" He asked.

"Starving."

We found a little cafe, and ordered coffee and a slice of cake to share.

"Look at all these smiling kids. I've never seen such a happy place." Dan said, sipping his coffee.

"Even the parents are enjoying themselves." I agreed.

"We should take our kids here, one day. They'd love it."

I looked up at Dan. He seemed startled, as if he'd spoken without really thinking about what he was saying. I was surprised myself; we'd never seriously discussed having children before.

"I'm sorry; we haven't even talked about kids..."

"Dan." I placed my hand over his, lacing our fingers together and squeezing lightly. He looked up at me, and I smiled.

I had seen the excited glint in his eyes, before his realisation had taken it away. I'd always wanted to have kids, especially with Dan; and today, his comment, had only solidified that.

"We should dress up."

"Pardon?" Dan asked.

"When we take our kids here. We should all dress up. Make the experience more exciting."

"You...you really mean that?"

"Of course. I know we've never discussed having children, and we should probably do that one day. But I want to have kids with you Dan, and if you want to take them here, we should."

"I want to have kids with you too."

"I'd like to think so." I replied, laughing. Dan leant over the table and kissed me. We were oblivious to everyone around us, trapped in our own little world; where there was just Dan and me, me and Dan.

Part two next week.
