This will certainly cause a brawl on live TV, while at the same time this marks the conclusion of this arc.

Well then, other than that…it's SHOWTIME!

Previously...

Later that night, Tomoki sneaked out of his house and went to a nearby park, wondering if Takuya is telling the truth or not, as he wondered why his magic failed, and wanting to know the truth, he waved his finger and chanted a spell.

"Is he really...I better see if this is the case or not...Chi-pui-pui!"

To his surprise, flames appeared and the youngster realized that his magic didn't failed as he thought, and he is overjoyed that his dreams and hope are there, so he hurried back to his house to prepare himself for tomorrow, not noticing that a silhouette is watching Tomoki, a smirk is shown while glancing at the young boy.

Now...

The next morning, Tomoki got up early and prepared his things as he is now looking forward to head for the TV studio where the TV host is waiting for him, and he is excited that he would get to show his "magic powers" in front of a live audience and to viewers. He was so excited that he left the house after a giving a brief goodbye to his parents as he is seen clutching a book about magic, in which it appeared to be the item that gives Tomoki hope, unaware that Hellhoundmon is waiting for the right time to strike.

"The Wizard's magic rings
contains magical powers...

A young man, who is a modern-day user of magic,
who uses their power on both of his hands...

So that he can turn despair...
...into hope..."

26: Terebi no Namahōsō de Kutsujoku

At the Omokagedo Antique Shop, Junpei prepared breakfast for Takuya and Izumi, and while the trio are eating, Takuya's cellphone rang and he answered it, in which the caller turns out to be Yoshino, and her tome is that of a concerned citizen as she tells the teen about Tomoki being on TV, and that he seemingly possesses magic, just like Takuya. Of course Takuya is bothered by what he just heard.

"Takuya..."

"What is it. Yoshino?"

"That Digi-gate...is he a wizard like you?"

"What? Why did you...?"

"He's on TV and he can emit flames like that Digimon you took on..."

"Seriously?"

"Yes...check it out...the comeerical is there..."

"Got it...Izumi...turn on the TV!"

Telling Izumi to turn on the TV, Takuya and Junpei are surprised to see commercials about Tomoki doing a "magic flame finger" trick, and moments later, the TV host is shown live, and made an announcement that Tomoki will show his "magic powers" live on TV, and there the TV host's smirk appeared to that of a devious person, and there Takuya slowly deduced everything and realized that Tomoki is in danger, alarming both Izumi and Junpei.

"No way..."

"Takuya?"

"What's wrong?"

"The Digimon...he's still alive...!"

"Eh?"

"How?"

"He's the TV host...he's behind the deception in making Tomoki think he has magic! He'll hit him with harsh reality and make him despair! I'd better go!"

"Be careful!"

"Good luck!"

After getting the studio's address from Yoshino, Takuya leaves the antique shop and boards his motorcycle and cruises off, slightly relieved that the studio is not far and that he would arrive there within five minutes and hoped that the "moment" hasn't started yet, as he realized that Tomoki has been fooled and that alone will led him to despair, while at the same time, he wondered how Hellhoundmon survived, and why didn't he noticed that the TV host was HIm all this time.

-x-

At the TV studio, the TV host announced about today's show and who the guest would be, as the cameraman pointed his camera at him while other witnesses, mostly studio execs and other witnesses are there to see Tomoki doing magic live, and since the broadcast is live, many viewers are glued to their TV after seeing the commercial about the youngster's "tricks" and are curious to see if he could do it live. The TV host then made his announcement and called out Tomoki, who has arrived and is ready to make his "TV debut" and to showcase his "magical powers".

"...and now, everyone a round of applause for Tomoki Himi!"

Applause was met and the youngster went to the stage and there the camera rolled as the TV Host began with a short interview and asked what Tomoki is holding on his arm, and there the youngster explained what it is, which he unintentionally revealed it as his "source of hope" and how and why his dreams are set to come true.

"So...why and how did you attain those fantastic powers?"

"It's thanks to this book..."

"Really?"

"Yes...I've been reading it since i was small..."

"And now...?"

"Now my hope and dreams will come true and show everyone that they can be a magician...like me."

"Then care to show it to us?"

"I will!"

And so, the TV host then told Tomoki to start showing his "magic powers" and the youngster is eager to show it, in which he prepares himself for the "main event", while outside, Takuya arrived and tries to enter the studio, but several bouncers and guards, who were instructed by the TV host to prevent anyone from entering, blocked his path, and knowing that time is running out, had no choice, so he puts on the SLEEP Ring and places his right hand in front of the Wizardriver belt.

Wizardriver: "SLEEP...PLEASE..."

In an instant, the guards and bouncers fell to the floor and are soundly asleep, and Takuya hurries inside and hoped that he makes it on time, unaware that the show is already underway, and as the scene shifts to the studio, Tomoki chants his spell but to his surprise, no flames came out, and he tries it again, and for 60 seconds, nothing came out, and the studio execs, as well as the witnesses, got bored and began calling Tomoki a "fraud", much to the youngster's shock.

"That's magic?"

"I don't see anything..."

"Then the footage is just fake?"

"Then that kid's a fake..."

"What a joke..."

"A waste of time..."

"If you want to waste our time..do it in an entertaining way..."

"But...but..."

The TV host then approached Tomoki and told him that he is now the "biggest laughingstock" in Shibuya and soon in all of Japan, and a visibly shaken Tomoki tries to convince the TV host that he witnessed it, but the next moments would soon cause terror inside the studio.

"Looks like you have become the laughing stock of this land..."

"But...I..."

"And now nobody will believe you..."

"But you saw it...I made those flames, Mr. TV host..."

"I'm sorry...the TV host is already dead..."

"What? What are you...?"

"He died as he gave in to despair...and it resulted in spawning me...Hellhoundmon!"

"Waaahh! You?!"

The TV host then changed shape, revealing himself as Hellhoundmon, and this cause everyone else to flee in terror, and though the cameraman also fled in panic, the camera is still activated and the situation inside the studio is still shown live. The viewers are taken aback at what they saw and are unsure on what they would make out of what they are watching.

At NSA's Section Zero HQ, Yamaki stood up after seeing this, and he called his agent who was masquerading as a janitor inside the studio to report top him what is happening, and as Yamaki watches the live footage, the next scenes shows what is going to happen next, and he and all of the viewers are glued to their TV sets.

At the studio, Tomoki is taken aback to see that the TV host is actually the Digimon, Hellhoundmon. There Hellhoundmon revealed that it was HE, and not Tomoki, who made the flames, and to prove it, he turned into a shadow and possesses Tomoki by possessing his shadow, and there he controlled the youngster's body, and made Tomoki point his finger at the "magic book" that he treasured so much, and a shocked Tomoki realizes what the Digimon is making him do.

"It was me who made those "magic tricks"...!"

"No..."

"Yes..."

"What are you...hey!"

"Now see what magic will do to you!"

"No...don't!"

"Yes..."

"My book!"

Tomoki is shocked that flames fired from his finger and burns the book to ashes, just as Hellhoundmon emerges, and there the youngster fell to his knees as despair kicks in, just as the Digimon is pleased that the first half of his mission went well, and all he need now is wait for the Digimon to spawn from Tomoki's body.

"Ha-ha-ha...now become a Digimon and serve the Wiseman!"

However, Takuya arrived and yet the teen was too late as Tomoki is now in despair, and the Digimon is now ready to prevent Takuya from getting near the boy, telling him that within minutes Tomoki will die and a new Digimon would be sired, and no one will stop the process, though Takuya has no reason to let this happen.

"You're too late...this boy will sire a Digimon and serve us for life! Ha-ha-ha!"

"I won't let you!"

Takuya wouldn't stand by and let this happen, so he braces himself to fght the Digimon as he then places his right hand in front of his belt that has a hand symbol, which the DRIVER Ring glowed and for the belt, which is the Wizardriver, spoke to confirm the magical command.

Wizardriver: "DRIVER ON…PLEASE…"

Soon the Wizardriver appeared as a magical, metallic belt and Takuya puts on a magic ring on his left middle finger then places it in front of the Wizardriver to begin his transformation.

Shaba-doobi Touch to Henshin...
Shaba-doobi Touch to Henshin...
Shaba-doobi Touch to Henshin...
Shaba-doobi Touch to Henshin...

"Henshin!"

Wizardriver: "FLAME…PLEASE…HII-HII…HII-HII-HII…"

A magical circle appeared on the left side of Takuya and slowly went towards the right, enveloping the teen and now he is encased in black armor with red ruby-like ornament-like armor, which included his helmet, along and with a black robe, and there he is now in his Digimon-armored form known simply as the "Wizard", and Hellhoundmon can sense the power emanating from both Takuya's magical abilities and the inner Digimon coming from deep within the teen's body.

"Hah! I won't fall to you again! A Digimon will be sired and serve the Wiseman!"

"Sa...SHOWTIME da!"

And so the Wizard charges towards the Digimon, with Hellhoundmon doing the same and both exchanged blows, with the Takuya applying his martial arts skills to get an upper hand but the Digimon's brute strength evened the odds, and the fight became close, but then As Wizard attempts to get close to Tomoki, the Digimon brought out his sword and struck Wizard with it, forcing the armored teen to bring out the Wi-Sword-Gun and toggled it to assume "sword mode" and the two clashed weapons.

"You'll never stop me! That boy will sire a Digimon!"

"I won't let that happen!"

"And how will you do that!"

"I will bring hope to those in despair!"

"You'll never will...as long as I'm around!"

"I don't think so..."

"Then have at you!"

"Blast...he's stalling me...got to finish this fast...!"

With the camera still rolling, the Digimon and the wizard are seen by viewers fighting, and they believe it was part of an "act" and they enjoyed it, which the Shibuya Police Station cops were also enjoying, while Yoshino is rooting for Takuya, but all the while Yamaki is baffled at how things are going, and called his subordinate to contact the executives of that studio so he can make an "offer" just to keep the public from being aware of the Digimons.

Back at the studio, seeing that the Digimon is stalling him, Wizard then puts on a magical ring on his right middle finger and places it in front of the Wizardriver and a new command is activated.

Wizardriver: "COPY…PLEASE…"

A new magic took place as the Copy Ring allows the wearer to create clones of himself, and the "two Wizards" attacked a bewildered Hellhoundmon, managing to stagger him back until the Digimon lets out a huge fire ball, while Wizard replaces his right magic ring with another one and places it in front of the Wizardriver.

Wizardriver: "DEFEND…PLEASE…"

A magical barrier made of fire appeared and deflected the attack, with the copied version of Wizard going ahead to distract the Digimon while the real Wizard tries to reach out to Tomoki, but then Hellhoundmon began to blend in with the shadows and uses it as a camaflouge attack, causing the Wizard to shoot his target but misses, and in the midst of the battle, the camera was struck and the footage was cut off, much to the viewers' annoyances.

At the antique shop, Junpei toggles with the TV remote thinking that he accidentally switched the channel, but Izumi brought out her crystal ball and there she and Junpei are able to see what is happening at the studio, where they saw Hellhoundmon giving the wizard a hard time.

At the studio, Wizard is starting to crack under pressure as Hellhoundmon is keeping him back while seeing Tomoki "cracking up" which means that soon a Digimon will be spawned and the youngster would die, and now with the Digimon blending in the shadows, Wizard had to think of something or else the boy will die. However, he recalled what Junpei told him about something that would "light his way", and recalled one of the magic rings he got from him.

"Hmm...then let's give it a try...!"

Removing the DEFEND Ring, Wizard puts on a new ring on his right middle finger then places his hand in front of the Wizardriver and a new spell has been casted.

Wizardriver: "LIGHT...PLEASE..."

One of the new rings, the LIGHT Ring, glowed as bright light enveloped the studio, removing the darkness and the Digimon was exposed, and it disoriented him enough to allow the Wizard to deliver a few sword slashes enough to weaken the Digimon, and now he removes the FLAME Ring and puts on a blue ring on his left middle finger before placing his hand in front of the Wizardriver.

Wizardriver: "AQUA…PLEASE…SUI-SUI…SUI-SUI*…"

* Sui means "Water"

Wizard now assumes a semi-different form, in which the gems attached to his armor are colored blue while his overcoat and armor remained black. He now assumes Aqua Style and has the power elements of water, and there he removes the LIGHT Ring and puts another magic ring on his right middle finger before placing it in front of the Wizardriver to activate another spell.

Wizardriver: "LIQUID…PLEASE…"

The ring used turns out to be the LIQUID Ring, and this allows Wizard to assume liquid form that makes him intangible aquatically and this gives him the chance to avoid some f the Digimon's attacks and even sneak attack him which further weakens the enemy there Wizard prepares to end this battle as he he took out the Wi-Sword-Gun and placing his left hand at the hand symbol, another magic command is about to be initiated as the ring on his left hand glowed, as well as the Wi-Sword-Gun in "sword mode".

Wi-Sword-Gun: "COME ON AND SLASH! SHAKE HANDS! AQUA SLASHING STRIKE! SUI...SUI...SUI...SUI...SUI...SUI..."

As the two Digimons are about to collide, Wizard does a vertical slash which slices the inner Digimon in two, and coupled with his magical water attribute, the slash attack is enough to destroy Hellhoundmon. After that, he went towards Tomoki, whose upper body is filled with "cracks" and the boy apologizes to Takuya for not listening to him, filled with remorse and despair though Takuya tries to lift the youngster's spirits.

"Takuya..."

"Tomoki..."

"You were right..."

"Huh?"

"I really am a fool...I really have no magic..."

"But there is someone who can...right in front of you..."

"Takuya..."

"Let me take care of that...I'll bring you the hope you need..."

Placing a magic ring on Tomoki's finger, he took the boy's hand and placed it in front of the Wizardriver and a command has been activated.

Wizardriver: "ENGAGE…PLEASE…"

Tomoki fell unconscious as a magical circle appeared and there Wizard went inside the boy's body to see if he could stop his "inner Digimon" from tearing him apart.

-x-

Inside Tomoki's body, you can see that Wizard has entered his sub-consciousness, which Wizard dubbed it as the boy's "underworld", where you can see that the scene showing a very young Tomoki inside a library surrounded by books about magic, which revealed the boy's hopes and dreams, but then an unidentified Digimon began to emerge and is starting to tear out Tomoki's "underworld", and once that "underworld" is destroyed, it would proceed to take over the host body before destroying it physically and assume the host's human form.

Seeing that time is running short, Wizard inserted a ring on his right middle finger and places it in front of the Wizardriver and a magical command is activated.

Wizardriver: "DRAGORISE…PLEASE…"

A magical circle appeared and something came out, which appeared to be a bio-mechanical Digimon in the form of a dragon. That turns out to be Takuya's inner Digimon identified as Dragomon, and despite the fact that Takuya managed to keep him in his body, the Digimon appeared to be untamed, and it is revealed that in the past months, Takuya has been trained by the White Wizard in trying to tame Dragomon, but had little success, and the only way to tame it is by magically summoning his motorcycle and have it merge with Dragomon to have more control over it.

As soon as Dragomon is summoned, it did go after the inner Digimon, but at the same time recklessly "smashing" Yohino's underworld as well, and Wizard tries to summon it with his sheer will, but with little success, as it remained untamed for now.

"Dragomon...submit to me!"

With Dragomon not heeding, Wizard was forced to put on the Connect Ring and summon his motorcycle and went after Dragomon, and after getting close, Wizard's motorcycle jumps up and magically merge with Dragomon and became the Digmon's "extension" as Wizard now has full control over the Digimon and proceeded to go after Tomoki's inner Digimon as it started to take form and is proceeding to tear down the boy's "underworld".

"Okay...better contain this at once!"

Soon an aerial dogfight ensued and Takuya managed to keep the inner Digimon at bay and are now about to collide, which he sees this as the perfect opportunity to nail it with one strike so he removes the DRAGORISE Ring and replaces it with another magic ring, putting it on his right middle finger and is now ready to put it in front of the Wizardriver and execute another magical attack.

"And now...the finale..."

Rupatchi Majikku Tatchi Gō!
Rupatchi Majikku Tatchi Gō!
Rupatchi Majikku Tatchi Gō!
Rupatchi Majikku Tatchi Gō!

Wizardriver: "CHOINE! KICK STRIKE! SAIKO!"*

*Choine - Very nice

*Saiko - Fabulous

Dragomon began to undergo a transformation as he changes shape and now resembles a metallic, giant right foot, while Wizard's leg began to go ablaze as he charged towards Tomoki's "innrer Digimon", and there Wizard is nearing him, preparing to take him down with his finishing attack. His finishing attack, a variation of the Strike Wizard Kick, a flying kick enhanced by the power of the element presently wielded, and in this case - fire. Wizard executed the Flame Strike Wizard and struck the Inner-Digimon, and is instantly destroyed, and now Tomoki is now rendered a normal human with no more magical ability, which is a slight side effect for destroying her inner Digimon. As he surveys the area, he finds a book whose story is all about magic, and decided to take it with him so that he can give it to the boy so as to give him a glimmer of hope.

-x-

A few days later, Yoshiono dropped by the antique shop and there she told Takuya that Yamaki used his position as head of Section Zero to tell the studio to make the footage appear as part of the show so that the public wouldn't suspect that the Digimon incident is real, but then notices that Tomoki is there "assisting" Takuya, and there she realized that the young boy has found hope and is moving on after the encounter with Hellhoundmon, especially when she saw the young boy wearing the RING just like she did, and there she and Tomoki greeted each other.

"Hello..."

"Hello..."

"I'm Yoshino."

"My name is Tomoki..."

"Glad to meet you..."

"Same here..."

"Takuya...I brought doughnuts..."

"Yes! Great timing!"

By then Yoshino offered Takuya a bag of plain sugar doughnuts, and just as he is about to take them, Junpei and Tomoki took them and are binging on it while Takuya wailed as he feared that there won't any left for him, while Izumi sighed in annoyance as she sees another "eyesore" in addition to Yoshino hanging around.

To Be Continued…

Hope you like this chapter, and this time it ended in a good way, as Takuya found another friend in Tomoki, who lost his magical potential, yet found hope thanks to Takuya, though Izumi seemed to resent it for some reason, but nevertheless, all is well and fine.
