Now, we are going to speed over because about now you are all wondering how I survived… I didn't.

I was staying in Wayne manor and between Alfred and Bruce Wayne it wasn't difficult to maneuver to the medical building to do my tests and research.

I found that the gamma radiation in me could be capped. But I didn't know how.

All I knew was my brain was a fuse, and any time that my heart decided to go haywire, that fuse got lit. Now it's just time ticking till I make one wrong move, and my brain pays the price.

"Fury, I'm not in New York right now, what's up?"

"Are you absolutely sure I can't have a single drop of your blood? Even if it meant a cure?"

"Are you insinuating a cure is there and you're holding out?"

"No. But Jennifer, be careful." He hung up and I took a deep breath. I see how it is.

The Wayne medical centers were a step up from my labs, that's no problem but now I just didn't know what else to do.

October 13th, it was time to go home. I just wanted to be home and my home was with my people. With Tony. And, with Bruce.

I arrived just as I had left, with no notice, just flew back at night and walked into the labs early in the morning to be there when the boys came in.

"Long time no see." I heard Bruce's voice from the elevator before I turned.

With a smile though I moved across the room to throw my arms around his neck "Bruce!" His hands rested on my back but kept me firmly against him, "I missed you."

His chest moved as he chuckled and I felt his lips dust mine while I pulled away, "Doubt that but I missed you too." His smile was genuine but I caught his words.

"You doubt that I missed you?" I asked with my hands on his chest forcing him to hold my waist still.

The smile he wore dropped for only a second before he shook his head, "No, just Gotham, it seems like a wonderful place."

Stepping away I crossed my arms, "Alright, cut it Bruce, what's wrong?"

He rubbed his eyes and shook his head, "Nothing Jenny, it's just early."

Liar. To his fortune though Tony came down right then and was more than enthusiastic to shout, "Jay! Welcome home!"

I gave Bruce a quick look that this wasn't over before smiling at my brother and hugging him as well, "Glad to be home Tone." He kissed my forehead as he does every so often and I realized that me not coming home was actually a possible outcome. One that scared him.

"Good, now we need to talk about stuff. Happy Birthday, by the way." He went right to muttering around the lab and Jenny laughed with a nod. That was the reason she came back. She was co-CEO as of today.

Business talk began and my questions for Bruce would wait for later.

"I assume Pepper is in California?"

"She will be for the next two months."

"And you?"

"I leave tomorrow night." For the next two months.

"And I'll actually have work and responsibilities?"

"The bottom five levels will be Stark industries, all green work. A pile of resumes is in your room. Jon had picked out five heads, in your stead, with my assistance and the rest of the staff I expect to be handpicked." That was all that had been planned way before this tower even became operational. First level actually sloped down and was the garage… but only our personal garage. From there we would usually discount five levels and just consider the sixth, our first, but there are five levels there, that the public should have access to (there's a front door and all).

"Doable, I'll go up and do that now, anything else?"

"I think that's it."

"Glad." I turned and walked to the elevator. Once in I spoke to Jarvis, "Jar, call Jon."

The speakerphone came on as it rung, only to be picked up by my favorite personal assistant, "Jennifer Stark's office, Mr. Wicker speaking, how may I help you?"

"Anyone ever told you your voice is very comforting?"

"Jenny, thank god you're back, we need a night."

"I know, I agree but I've got homework. Can you call the heads and tell them to be in tomorrow at seven."

"Seven? You didn't meet me that early, what's up now?"

"I don't sleep anyways so seven. Got it?"

Jon hesitated to answer but agreed nonetheless, "Seven it is, see you then sweetheart."

"Sounds great darling." Jenny replied with a smile knowing that Jon was concerned… and frustrated with waking up so early, "See you then." Hanging up she found one of their tablets that Tony must have left (or more likely Jon) as a little note was a set on top, 'resumes'.

There were seventy files and I sighed, okay so I had a lot of work to do. Happy Birthday to me.

After about an hour of just skimming over credentials I felt a headache coming on and rubbed my ear, "Seriously, dying sucks." I muttered before realizing how much I liked talking to myself, "My last birthday, spending it looking over resumes, poetic."

After another two hours I had my choices narrowed to twenty people I would be hiring.

With their resumes in a different file I yawned and looked around for my phone only to see it on the far counter, "Jarvis, you up for making calls with me?"

"Anytime Miss Stark."

With I small smile I looked back to my tablet- there were three completely new resumes, 'Skye Bennett', 'Grant Ward', and 'Leo Fitz'.
Skye Bennett was listed to have fantastic computer science skills, Grant has people skills and innovative thought and Leo apparently had credentials from the best schools in Europe for engineering.

"First, Jarvis did someone just hack my connection?"

"I'm sorry Miss Stark, my systems were overridden and a message was sent."

Clearly someone wanted me to see these, and anyone who can hack into Jarvis, is a person I would very much like to meet. Rubbing my temples I rose to get a bottle of water.

I called the twenty three people personally and unsurprisingly got answer machines for the three mystery hires. I would just have to wait till tomorrow morning upsettingly but this did make things more interesting I must admit.

Going downstairs to our labs I walked into Bruce and Tony apparently wrapping up their work, "Okay I have everyone hired for the divisions, and am meeting them tomorrow at seven if you want to be there. Press conference, according to my calendar is at ten so it can be right outside after my meeting and welcoming to them if either o you would like to attend."

Tony leaned against the counter looking at me and I smile proudly crossing my arms, ignoring my headache, "Already doing better than me and I wouldn't miss it, Bruce?"

Bruce took off his glasses and looked between Tony and me, "Are you kidding? I wouldn't miss the chance of Jenny making some reporter to be a fool for the world."

Smiling I knew that may or may not be the result in the end but for now, just survive. My brother moved past me to the elevator and called backwards, "Dinner in, Big Bang in the Theatre, chinese?"

I nodded smiling, "Wanna call?"

"Jarvis!" Tony said and I heard the elevator closed before I looked Bruce in the eye.

Bruce moved closer and took my head in his hands forcing me to look up at him, "Your head hurts." It wasn't a question but a statement and with his brown eyes to my green ones I tugged my head down and rested it on his shoulder instead.

"I know." My response was muffled and I held his shirt by fists.

His hands reluctantly rested on my hips and his chest rumbled as he spoke, "When was the last time you slept?"

Stifling a groan at the question I moved closer to him and with my mouth closer to his neck I answered, "Maybe three days."

Bruce's hands moved all the way around my waist and I breathed deeply, "And how long did you sleep for three days ago?"

"Six hours." My answer was short and conscience because I honestly didn't want to be talking about any of this.

"Jenny, how long exactly can you go?"

I chuckled under my breath and found my way out of this conversation as I pressed myself against him just enough to say, "Wouldn't you want to know?"

Bruce sighed and I knew that my plan wouldn't work. This man hadn't had sex in years, I should know better, "Jenny, I don't think you realize how young you are."

Pushing away from him my eyebrows were by my hairline, "Excuse me?" Eyes wide Bruce shook his head knowing he had spoken wrong but he had already gotten me to release so I was going to release, "How young I am? Bruce I've grown up acting older than I was, like you said, I was flirting with you when I was fifteen! If you're implying that I am too young to be seen as sexy enough I think you better put your glasses back on."

Patiently Bruce had waited to interject.

I didn't let him, "You know I have been hit on by models, some of the smartest men in the world, movie stars, superheroes and some people whose cars are worth more than ten of you. Yet now, when I have an unknown number of days left, my head is pounding but I can't work out, I have just risen as high as my career ladder goes, and on my birthday, you decide to say that I am too young to be even near seduced by me which is a feat I haven't tried nor succeeded in when it comes to you!"

I knew I was being irrational. I was taking it out of proportions but I needed to rant, this situation proposed a subject to rant about. Bruce went to speak for the second time, "Are you done?"

Turning away from him, pacing a bit, "No! Bruce Banner I am sick of the bull you continue to give insinuating my youth or, in some cases infidelity. Just because I am related to Tony and have a friendly personality I would for once you don't assume I am flirting with someone, or that I would actually prefer someone over you at this moment."

"Done now?" Bruce's tone hadn't changed and his same patient face remained.

…"Yes." I said substantially quieter as I faced him several steps away now.

I heard Bruce take a deep breath to speak and I closed my eyes tighter, "Damn." Looking up quickly I tilted my head at my boyfriend and he shook his head, "You've managed to give me three different rants on the same subject, which, I wasn't even referring to."

Sheepishly I shrugged, "You could give me a subject."

He laughed and walked towards me, "Jenny," I didn't move as he came even closer and wrapped his arms around my waist again despite the fact that my arms were crossed and I only had my eyebrows raised. He kissed my cheek, "Stunning," He kissed my other cheek, "Beautiful," I relaxed the instance his lips met mine passionately and I wrapped my arms around his neck as even his arms pushed my hips towards his boldly, for once, before he pulled away, "and sexy. Admit it or not, you're young and those are emphasized by your 'attempt of seduction' are we calling it?"

I laughed at the irony of the situation before kissing him lightly, "Why call it anything?"

Bruce ruefully sighed and pulled me closer to him but rested his head on mine, "And what exactly do you mean you've never tried to seduce me becau-"

With my head back on his chest, I yawned, "Bruce, if I actually tried to pursue you in any way such as that, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Then again, I'd also be deciding I don't like that color green on you and we'd both be in a huge situation."

"Those are two of the worst puns I've heard." Bruce half laughed and half whined.

"You know, we could always try it," I looked up at him with my biggest puppy dog eyes and I saw the trial in his eyes. I knew it wouldn't work but I had to try, "Personally I think Flamel and the Hulk would get along smashingly."

"I don't think your brother would appreciate us destroying the tower though." Bruce added and despite my fantastic architectural abilities, I had to admit that would be an embarrassing mess.

Sighing I leaned on him again and shrugged, "I hate how you're still smarter than me sometimes."

Bruce rubbed circles on my back, "Jenny, don't let it go to your head, but I do think it's more difficult for me than you." I laughed against him.

"Excuse me Lovebirds, but the food is here." Tony's voice entered from intercom and I laughed again on how quickly Bruce pulled away, but then rushed forward to support me since I had been leaning on him.

Taking his hand I led him back up through the elevator and to the theatre, "Right here Tone." The big bang theory song was just ending and the smell of the take out was familiar.

Happy birthday to me.

I slept that night. Not for long but from midnight to six.

Woken up by Jon calling I groaned and answered, "Yes Jon?"

"Here's your wakeup call beauty, be there in ten to get you dressed nicely!"

Getting up I was grateful for his humor and nodded as I knew he had already hung up. The shower was warm and I only had to put on a robe while I dried my hair. My door opened and closed and I knew it was Jon as he hummed the last number from RENT.

Turning off my hair drier I decided it was good enough and looked out my bathroom door to see him turn from hanging up my dress on my open closet door and we beamed instantly and simultaneously.

"Jon!" - "Jenny!"

I hugged him with a jump, which he obviously took as a reason to spin me before setting me down again and we were both still smiling, "I saw the picture of you with Bruce Wayne in millionaire weekly, I don't know why your brother calls him an old bat, he seems much more like a lion."

Those words rung in my ear and maybe my head was just spinning enough on a regular basis but at his words I snapped my fingers, "Bruce Wayne is batman! How didn't I see that before…?"

Jon eyed me with surprise before tilting his head, "How didn't you get that before now actually? I mean, I wouldn't but you?"

I shrugged and ran my fingers through my hair, "I've been busy I suppose, which reminds me, what am I wearing?" That statement was the fuse that blew the keg as Jon began rambling about what my face would be like, my hair, my dress, my heels, my purse, my eyes and anything else he decided on changing for this event.

While working on my hair he caught my attention with the question, "What's this in your ear?"

"What's what?" I asked turning my head and I felt him reach into my ear and I pulled away in annoyance before realizing he had pulled out the earpiece. It'd been there for weeks, I had put it in for the sake of nolstalgia and SHIELD made it so well (undercover long term agents wear them all the time) that I just never got around to taking it out… not like anyone was listening anyways, only person who would is Coulson, "Oh, don't worry, it's nothing."

At around six forty five I was finally allowed to look in the mirror and I was stunned (not for the first time by Jon's work, of 'course). I wore a gradient dress with triangle straps that started with black at the top of the dress and the colors included more greys near the middle and then pure white at the end of the skirt which clung to my lower thighs at a more than professional length and yet, the sweetheart neckline gave it just enough of a flirty appeal.

"Jon I love it…" I said quietly and I batted my smoky eyelids and red lips, "It's very… Stark." A smiled was on my face as I spun to see the back of it and my smiled brightened at the deliberate waves of my hair that cascaded naturally down my back including the front bangs and hair that he had pulled back.

"Your shoes, milady?" He held up a white pair of danger heels and I almost forgot all about my recent troubles with heels, just because they looked so… me. I buckled them up and stood almost steadily and took a few practice steps, I'd be fine for a while.

Turning to Jon he was putting my ID and phone in my clutch which he'd probably carry, "Thank you Jon." Taking my phone back I slipped it in my bra and kissed his cheek, "I'm going to make some breakfast, do you want any?"

He shook his head and I swore there were tears rimming his eyes, "No, no, I better go make sure that your new hires and the heads are in the conference room, right?"

I nodded and we both got in the elevator, "Yes please, and do you remember how I greeted you?"

"With aloofness and a cold heart?" Jon asked joking and I laughed.

"Exactly."

Jon smiled excitedly, "Understood and happy to oblige." The elevator opened at the main kitchen level and I got out blowing Jon a kiss before the doors closed again, "You better be!"

The coffee maker was already brewing and I thanked the lord above that didn't exist for Jarvis as I got the top to my purple travel mug ready for when the machine stopped.

After taking a few sips of coffee I decided I better get going, chewing a piece of gum I took a deep breath and with a tight grip on my coffee pressed the level on the elevator. I wasn't nervous. I've always been the boss.

XXXX

Jenny strode out of the elevator into the shiny tower that, besides the blue prints, was completely new to her. She never came down to check it out because, it was so abstract, now she really had full control, "Miss Stark." Jon's voice came at her and she turned, "Everyone is here."

"Perfect." She let her 'per' roll off her tongue before consciencely making her heels click towards the door he stood outside of, with a simple nod of her head, he opened the door.

There they were twenty eight, all very smart individuals, in their very best clothing, huddled around a metal table on spiny chairs that were bolted to the floor. It reminded Jenny of the Enterprise as she held her chin high and walked slowly around the table. There was one empty seat but she passed it by, she was making eye contact with everyone first, and yet still taking small sips of coffee. Everyone knew that they were in no place to have any power for themselves. Everyone, except for the misfit three.

After going around the table twice, and the only sound in the room being her heels, she stood behind her chair and placed her coffee down on the table, "Welcome, to Stark Industries." For one of the few times in Jenny's life, her cultured accent that she picked up in London at schools shone through a bit and made the whole statement more dramatic.

Jon stood right next to the door with a tablet and her clutch, "Ladies and gentlemen, meet Jennifer Stark, Miss Stark, these are your best and brightest."

Jenny narrowed her eyes on one man, dark hair bulkier, muscled and wore glasses that he clearly didn't need (from her observations anyways). "They have to earn those titles Jonathon, and thank you." Deliberately she sat down in her chair and tapped at the table to reveal and touch screen beneath it (there were some things that flying yacht was good for), "Now," Still tapping the screen but not looking down she eyed everyone around the table with a smirk, "I do love introductions and I believe it's your turn, so who's first?"

Eight seconds went by before the man that Jenny had been inspecting sort of leaned forward and raised his hand, "I'll go."

Jenny leaned back in her chair and crossed her legs and arms, "Dazzle me."

"Well my name is Ward, Grant Ward, and I, um, " His gaze at her faltered for just a second and Jenny's smirk reappeared before he continued, "I'm just proud to have made it this far."

"I'm proud of you too Grant, I really am, just about as proud I am that you used the Bond, James Bond greeting. Next."

It went on like this till there was only one left. A girl, or woman, whatever you'd prefer, young though, she spoke hesitantly yet her voice was confident. Young, "I'm Skye, that's all people really call me. I'm pretty good at computers, always have been, and what better place to work then here?"

Jenny had he head tilted thoughtfully, "Couldn't agree more Skye." With a nod Jenny spun and stood before facing her audience again, "Now if you will all follow me in an orderly fashion I would be glad to lead you all to your respective areas of work. If today goes well for you, when you leave you will receive a badge. That badge will get you into all your areas from this day forth, understood?"

A collective yes was established and Jenny led them out and around. She had four divisions- biochemistry, mechanical, computers, and environmental. On the ground floor she had Enviromental, so why not start there.

When they entered the lab everyone was still afraid to speak directly to her and so she spoke to them, "Here is where Micheal Lamache, Samantha McCoy, Dean Sylvester, Travis Johnson, and Kelly Mcgreen will be working. You will all be working under the guidance and head of Amy Mohler. As you can see, latest technology, your project is on the dry erase board over there, I believe my brother came up with it last night. Alert me when you are done through the communications system please, and good luck."

Jenny turned and the remainder of the crowd went to follow her when a voice among the people that were staying asked, "Project?"

Everyone stopped in anticipation, but Jenny kept walking, "I need something to grade you on, it's no different from a test!"

She did this, each floor was a different division and she just kept dropping people off. Right before dropping the engineering team off there was a question asked when a young man tapped her shoulder, "Miss Stark, one question?"

Turning her full attention from her tablet that Jon was holding so she could tap, "Yes, I'm sorry, Mr. Fitz was it?" His Irish accent was more than distinct enough to remain in her head, verified by his nod.

He stammered before composing himself, "Just Fitz please and why do we get an hour less to complete our puzzle than the environmental?"

She tilted her head at the young man who looked only a little older than her and looked back to Jon and the group, "Jon, I'll meet you upstairs, I'll take stairs." Turning back to Fitz she sighed breaking into a genuine smile, "Call me Jenny and you see, the puzzles are personalized, their's require a bit more preliminary research, whereas your project everyone is hopefully familiar with. Okay?"

Fitz stood agape before shaking it off, "Can you just switch your personality on and off like that?"

Winking at him slyly she took another sip of her coffee, "Get to work Mr. Fitz."

He stammered a reply as she darted up the emergency stairs and walked out onto the fourth level calmly just as the group exited their elevator, "Right on time, as always Jonathon." She winked to her assistant who shook his head at his boss realizing she had loosened up a bit.

"Well I would prefer not to have Flamel kicking my ass." He muttered and Jenny coughed on her coffee making the remaining employees snicker which Jenny took good naturedly.

Hitting Jon behind the head she muttered back, "Smart ass." The employees watched with mild amusement at this completely different side of their new boss, "Alright everyone, you know what to do." She motioned her hand to wave them off and smiled proudly as they did so before she remembered, "Oh, but Miss Bennett?" The spirited dark haired girl turned back to Jenny and she smiled, "Can you come here?"

Putting her hands in the fronts of her pockets she walked towards Jenny who turned away from the rest of the lab, "Yes Miss Stark?"

Jenny sighed and ran her fingers through her pulled back hair, "It's Jenny, and I just wanted to say, next time you hack into Jarvis, cover your track better."

The girl's face dropped and Jenny just shrugged, "Anyways, get to work. I believe your ward will be needing you." Jenny got in the elevator that Jon had called and as soon as the doors closed they both laughed.

They laughed until the elevator reached the bottom floor and they got out composing themselves, "Do you have any idea of what you are going to go out there and say?"

Jenny was reminded of the crowd waiting outside the glass doors and she caught the time in the corner of her eye, "I've got five minutes to think of it all."

On cue, the personal Stark elevator opened to reveal Tony and Bruce, both looking dashing as ever, "Right on time boys." She kissed Bruce's lips momentarily before looking to her brother, "I'm learning from you, you know?"

"Kissing and then making things up as you go?" Tony asked motioning around before finishing it, "Proud to call you my sister." He hugged her, kissing her forehead before letting her go, "Now let's get out there Banner, I believe I have an introduction to make."

"Good luck." Bruce mouthed to her as he followed Tony and Jenny nodded with a smile.

Jon snapped in front of Jennifer's face and "You ready?" Jenny nodded and not a few seconds after Tony and Bruce had walked out Jon and Jenny followed.

The white marble steps then led up were roped off with silver ropes and there were four chairs where they stood against the doors of the building. Jon sat next to Bruce and Jenny sat next to Jon, she was focused on the crowd that lined the steps and the marble square below. They had cameras flashing, and yet were silent. Tony had taken the podium that was front and center. On the podium was a bouquet of white lilies which Tony ignored but Jenny asked Jon about. He had no idea.

"We are here today, to acknowledge the event of my sister, and in legal terms daughter, Jennifer Stark becoming co-CEO of Stark industries at age twenty." He looked back at his sister and Jenny tilted her head but he kept talking, "It was stated that we would both be given our chance at CEO-ship when we turned twenty-one, however, I must admit that I have found my sister to be more mature than me in so many ways. She was doing things that were deemed too dangerous or risky by the time she was five, and pulling them off. She's gown so much in the last few years, and I truly am proud, to call this pretentious, beautiful, arrogant, intelligent, bipolar, brave, and annoying little brat," The crowd laughed a bit as Tony smiled at them and then to Jenny, "My best friend, and best sister anyone could ask for. Good and bad; anywhere and anytime; through monsters under the bed and the voices in our heads; no matter the means, I would do anything for you;" he waved his hand and immediately began almost in a joking tone, "But you know that. The thing is, I know you'd do the same, for me and for this company. It's our name, and I don't think we'd give it up for the world. So everyone put your hands together for Jenny Stark, the CEO of the New York Stark branch of Stark Industries."

Jenny stood and almost had a line of tears in her eyes but Tony just smiled at her and held out his arms as she hugged him tightly, "Thank you Tone."

"Anytime Jay." Tony kissed her forehead again and the crowd 'aww-ed' making the sibling both shake it off with a laugh.

Standing straight Jenny tapped on the podium, "Good morning, I promise I'll make this short and I'll take all questions after. As most of you can tell, my brother and I are very similar… pretentious, bratty, beautiful, you get the picture." The crowd laughed and Jenny continued, "And obviously we are both very different. There is one habit that I, personally, believe we have learned together. We love proving people wrong. Teachers, bosses, employees, parents, friends, doctors; everyone, no exceptions-I think Tony taught me. When I was younger, I was sick. A man told my brother I couldn't be cured, that his treatment would kill me." She picked up the bouquet and waved it casually, "Well… I'm not dead." Everyone laughed again and Jenny looked back at Bruce and Tony to see both looking at her curiously, "I learned sometimes we need to push ourselves to remind us of who we are, and what we are capable of. The Earth is being pushed to its limits, and it's up to us, to see what we are capable of, and to help take back the damage we've caused. My father believed in heroes, in people who could accomplish this task, and with granting your support to Stark Industries you will henceforth be acting as Earth's hero." She smelled the lilies delicately this time, appreciating them, "Everything needs new life, and this is our chance to grant it." Looking across her crowd she took a deep breath, "Any questions?"

Everyone erupted in speech and Jenny was overwhelmed for once as her breathing increased unwillingly and yet she shook her head and tried using control, "Um, yes, you." She pointed at a random reporter.

"Miss Stark! You took place in the Battle of New York."

"Is that a question because it sounds like a statement."

"No, sorry Miss Stark, the question is, how did you acquire your strength?"

Jenny laughed, "P90X Insanity."

The crowd laughed and Jenny picked another person before it could come up again.

This continued for a while and questions were answered fully, and other skimmed over masterfully as Jenny used every breathing technique that she knew.

"Miss Stark, are you dying this very second?" A familiar man in a suit asked but Jenny's head hurt too much, and was too preoccupied, to recognize him.

"From the moment we are born we are all dying, sad and cynical truth isn't it? If there are no more questions, I think we are done for the day."

Reporters were walking away happy and Jenny stood unmoving until Bruce came over to her. Her eyes were closed and he wrapped an arm around her waist, "You okay?" He asked quietly and she nodded.

"I used to be able to run a mile in heels."

"I know." Bruce said and he did know. She wore insane heels whenever he saw her and made them look as comfortable as sneakers.

Jon called her from the doorway, "Come on lovers, it's October, get inside and your computer team just called. They think they are done." Bruce and Jenny shared a look before turning in synch to walk in. The glass doors closed and despite the fact that they were glass Jenny took off her heels in the comfort of the building and handed them to Jon, "I loved them well."

"That's all I asked." Jon took them back and Jenny walked steadily again, "Meet you upstairs?"

"Deal." Jenny nodded to Bruce and Tony to make the same deal as she took the stairs as an excuse to get a work out in. It was only four flours.

This is where things get iffy. She walked through the door and then something hit her- literally. Over the head she felt a thick metal smash and groaned only for a second before hitting the ground.
Her control was slipping, or the little control she had, slipped.
With bright green eyes, she fought back.

Her attacker was the muscled man, Grant Ward and he fought with grace and strength even though Flamel was able to throw him against the wall.

From the corner of her eyes she saw a needle coming at her and turned to break the needle and throw the syringe, it was the younger girl, Skye.

All of Flamel's moves were calculated, flawless as ever- the two attackers stood no chance.

Shouldn't have.

Grant got off a lucky shot with a hidden gun. He shot her in the side, just enough to stun the girl, he thought. Not near any vital organs if he shot correctly, which he did.

She dropped to the ground. Bleeding, and unmoving her eyes were shut as Ward and Skye looked at each other before he took charge as always and checked her pulse, "Com Coulson and phone 911."

"911? Shield and emergency people don't mix, I thought."

"Just do it!" Grant shouted applying pressure to the wound but realizing it was already healing, "The wound isn't hurting her, we need to get her to Simmons asap. Fitz, get up here!" Ward was half on com.

"She dies and Coulson'll kill us." Skye muttered calling 911.
