Life With the RowdyRuff Boys

"For crying out loud, that took forever!" Brick complained as he and Blossom flew home. "After all that, we should get a raise. I feel like we're getting ripped with what we're getting now."
"Don't you think it's a bit early to be saying we're done already?" Blossom said. "We still need to find out that virus came from in the first place!"
"Some internet site wasn't it?" Brick said.
"I don't think so" Blossom said. "Didn't you say that E-Male knew who you were? If the virus was from a random internet site, then he wouldn't have known that."
Touching down on the front porch, Brick shrugged off the statement. "So what, we go find where the thing came from? How are we going to do that? Look through every computer in the world? That sounds like it'd take too long,"
"Relax, we don't have to do all that" Blossom reassured him. She opened the door and led the way inside. "All I'm saying is 'don't let your guard down'. From my experience, once who ever's responsible for this finds out their little stunt failed, they'll be more aggressive the next time. Be careful!"
Inside was dark and quiet, evidently everyone had gone to bed while they were out. They quietly made their way to their rooms.
"You don't have to worry about me" Brick claimed when they were outside her room. "I'm tough enough to take care of myself."
"Then I guess I have nothing to worry about" Blossom smiled. She opened her door and slipped inside. "Goodnight" she closed the door leaving him alone in the hall.
"Really? Worry about me?" Brick muttered to himself while he walked to his and his brothers' room. He placed his hand on the knob and opened the door. "She's obviously just…" his voice trailed off as he found himself, not in the room he was expecting but in a red space devoid of boundaries. "…being paranoid…"
Brick looked around, in a vain attempt to figure out where he was.
"What's wrong with being a little paranoid?" a voice sounded from all around Brick. "Sometimes there really is someone out to get you!"
"Who's there!?" Brick shouted into the red abyss. "Show yourself!"
"You have to ask who I am?" the voice sounded disappointed. A pair of large green eyes formed in the void; a large, grinning mouth appeared soon after; pointed red ears and a goatee completed the image. "I thought our bond was stronger than that!"
"HIM!?" Brick exclaimed. "What do you think you're doing?"
"I could ask you the same thing!" HIM responded. "Living with The PowerPuff Girls!? Can you imagine my shock when I heard you've sunk to such a level?"
"Argh, not now!" Brick moaned. "So we're living with the PowerPuff Girls, so what? They're not that bad! Plus they're loads better than that shack we used to stay at!"
"If all you wanted was a roof over your head…" the face had disappeared and Brick became aware that a crab claw was draped over his shoulder. He turned around to see HIM in his physical form. "…all you had to do was ask. I would have been more than happy to let you stay with me!"
"Who would want to stay with an ugly crab thing like you?" Brick said. "Give me three cute girls any day!"
"Tsk, tsk, tsk" HIM clicked his tongue. "Have you ever heard the saying 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend'?" he asked.
Brick racked his brain for any memory of what HIM said.
"I'll take that as a no" HIM said after a moment's silence. "basically it means, so long as two or more entities, you your brothers and myself in this case, have the same enemy, they should work together to eliminate said enemy."
"Umm" Brick tried to process this information.
"However" HIM went on. "Does that not also mean the friends of my enemy are also my enemy?"
"Ah, sure" Brick answered confused. "Why not?"
"So you wish to be my enemy after all?" HIM said. "Are you sure that's a wise idea?"
"I'm not afraid of you!" Brick shouted and took a defensive stance.
The ever present smile on HIM's face widened. The smile turned into a light chuckling, which in turn turned into loud laughter. "Brick, my dear boy, I'm not going to fight you!" limb by limb, HIM's body disappeared, leaving Brick alone surrounded by his voice. "but think about this, what would you do, if you find yourself face to face with an enemy that is friends with your friends? Would you fight that enemy? Even if it means becoming enemies with your friends? You better think about that! Because, we will meet again soon enough! Ahahaha!"
HIM's laughter, along with the space he had brought Brick into, faded away and Brick found himself in the middle of his room. Butch and Boomer were asleep in their beds.
Brick made his way to his own bed and threw himself onto it. "What's there to think about?" he said to himself. "I have no idea what you just said."
