Chapter 24

"Bella wait!" Bella groaned at the voice of Edward calling to her, she reluctantly came to a stop just outside of the Cullen home. Liam stood protectively beside her as Edward ran up to them.

"What is it bloodsucker?" She snapped impatiently her headache flaring up briefly.

"We were going to talk" Edward spoke eying Liam warily, who was glaring at him with hostility. Bella rose an incredulous eyebrow.

"Now? Can't you see I'm not in the damn mood to-"

"Bella Please" Edward cut her off with a pleading look in his golden eyes, Bella huffed out an impatient breath.

"Fine, Liam wait here" Bella took a step forward towards Edward, when Liam spoke up quickly.

"My Alpha I don't think that is a good idea-"

"Ok first of all "Bella cut him off," Do not call me that my name is Bella second I know how to handle this guy" With that Bella and Edward vanished to get some privacy leaving Liam there in intense worry.

The two came to a stop in a secluded patch of forest, and Bella turned to face Edward arms crossed.

"Alright start talking and make it fast" Bella demanded. Edward took a deep breath and let it out slowly forcing himself to meet Bella's fierce gaze.

"I'm sorry" He said in a calm sure tone, causing Bella's eyebrows to lift in shock she had been expecting him to profess his undying love or something, certainly not this.

"I realize how stupid and selfish I've been. I knew from the start that you did and would not love me. It's just..."Edward trailed off with a sigh,

"I have been alone for over a century and when I saw you for the first time I just felt...like you were meant for me. but when I saw how you and Alice looked at each other then later found out you imprinted on each other I just...snapped. I swear I'm not usually like this I guess I was just...jealous" Edward looked puzzled at his own behavior which caused Bella to actually believe him. She eyed the apologetic vampire before giving in.

"Fine...but this doesn't mean that I like you" Bella said with a smirk which Edward returned.

"I bet I can change your mind" He taunted, Bella rolled her eyes the only vampire she like at all was Alice, loved really.

"Speaking of Alice" Edward cut into her thoughts, Bella looked at him in alarm,"Don't worry I still cannot read your mind but I can still read your expression I can tell whenever you think of your mate" Bella just snorted

"What about her?"

"You were really mean to her earlier she only wanted to help" Edward said slowly not wanting to upset her. Bella ran a stressful hand through her chestnut locks and sighed heavily.

"I know...I will speak to her later now if you are done being a sap I will take my leave now" Bella gave the vampire a nod before vanishing in a blink.

Bella finally made it home twenty minutes later Liam trailing cautiously behind her, Bella instantly spotted Charlie's cruiser and swallowed nervously. It was funny she was some kind of weird all powerful Lycan thing and the thought of her father angry made her nervous. She looked toward her bedroom window and to her relief spotted a tree relatively close enough to it. She turned back to look at her...packmate and gestured towards it.

"Climb that tree my window should be open" She commanded, Liam obeyed without question hurrying over to the tree and Bella found that she liked that, someone who would just shut up and listen. After hesitating a moment Bella walked up to the door unlocked it, and pushed it open.

"Bella?" She heard Charlie call instantly from the living room, she heard a grunt as Charlie got up from him chair and heavy steps as he walked towards her. A second later his face appeared around the corner into the kitchen. After several seconds of just staring at one another Bella raised a hand and waved once.

"Hello" She coughed awkwardly, Charlie's eyes narrowed into almost a glare.

"Where have you been for the past two days?" He demanded, Bella gave an innocent shrug.

"Just...out" She mumbled, Charlie fully glared now.

"You had better not be 'out' hurting anyone or I will-"

"No I am not" Bella cut him off through gritted teeth, Charlie huffed starring at her for a little longer, Bella squared her shoulders and met his stare head on.

After a moment he gave a curt nod, "Good" Then he turned on his heel and marched out again. Bella blew out a breath and looked towards the stairs that led to her room.

Bella pushed open the door to her room and immediately spotted Liam standing next to her window expectantly.

"My-Bella" He said before she could speak, "There is something I must tell you that I did not tell the bloodsuckers" Bella groaned with annoyance,

"Get on with it" She huffed falling face first onto her bed.

"I...was a werewolf before I was bit turned Lycan...and the two Lycans who bit me want to destroy the Cullens" Liam spoke haltingly. Bella bolted upright at that boring her now golden gaze on Liam her only thought on Alice.

"What are their names?" She growled her canines flashing at him angrily.
