An Angel

Chapter: 26

Emmett's POV:

The wall of water grew higher behind me. I wasn't going to stick around to find out what was going to happen next, I ran off in the direction of the house. I didn't get far before something stopped me, it felt like a tree. It's not possible that I ran into a tree, is it? "Where do you think you're going muscle man?" A red haired vampire made herself seen.

"Muscle man?" I questioned mainly to buy myself a little more time. I knew what she was planning and I was holding onto a shred of hope someone would show up to give me a hand.

"What should I call you?"

"Don't worry about it?" That shred of hope was gone. I'm glad my dad can't see what I'm about to do, if he could he would probably kill me for a second time. I took the other vampire by the arm and threw her against the tree. I ran before she figure out what happened.

I got farther this time before something grab me firmly by the back of the neck and flung like a rag doll backwards trough the air until I finally hit a tree. "Didn't your parents ever teach you it isn't nice to throw people?" A tall vampire with coal black hair, Andre no doubt, towered over me.

I shrugged, "you tell me." He was getting more angry with me by the minute, his face gave it away. I guess the whole threw his partner in crime against a tree and act like a smarty thing.

I got up from where he threw me in a flash, if a fight is what he wants then the that is what I will give him. Two against one is not good odds even in a vampire fight, especially when of the two is an original. I took off, heading to where the wall of water was but turned left into a thicket of trees before I reached the water.

Zeria:

"After him Zeria!" He commanded me, irritated probably that the distract and grab he planned didn't play out as such. I went after him as I was commanded. I stayed to the top of the trees. Andre once told me that if I was ever chasing somebody my better option would be to stay above them, they won't be looking above themselves when they are running for their lives.

I kept him in my sight as I easily jumped from one branch to another. He was just far enough ahead of me to ensure false security but close enough that I could take him down in a flash if he did happen to catch me.

Emmett's POV:

I continued running as fast as I could, I didn't see either of them behind me but that means nothing. I saw a good opportunity, I made a sharp right into a less dense section of the woods. I wasn't far from the house now. I saw lights glowing among the trees, that was it. I pushed myself harder to move faster.

Zeria's POV:

'Poor thing,' my finale thought before jumping from the trees and sending him face first into the cold hard ground. He struggled and tried to throw me from his back, but he had no luck. "Good work, Zeria," Andre's voice came from behind me. "I can take it from here." I got off and no quicker did Andre have him on his feet with his hands tied.

"Master, where are we taking him?" I asked him, a little concerned that he wanted to take him back to our place.

Rosalie's POV:

The wedding was already semi-planned and we told everyone else today. I took a peak around the living room, Esme and Carlisle were on the couch and Edward was sitting in the chair with Tanya on the arm. Where was Emmett? I went upstairs, maybe he was in our room. No, the room was the way we left it. I went back down stairs, "has anyone seen Emmett?" I felt silly asking.

"I Haven't seen him dear. Maybe he went hunting." Esme offered.
