Here we go, it's time for some mind games to everyone but Rex, Skye, Clint, Tony, and maybe Bruce, nah, I could use a Hulk verses Rex/Hulkbuster fight, for next chapter anyway. It's been so long since I've done a chapter for this story, and I hope you all like this one, so let's not delay any further.

Ch.26 Finding the Platinum Bastard

Clint was on the phone, talking in a low tone, unaware that Steve, Rex, and Skye are approaching him.

"That's a negative. I answer to you. Yes, ma'am." Clint said on the phone.

"Barton. Might have something." Steve said to Clint.

"I got to go." Clint said before hanging up the phone.

"Who was that?" Skye asked.

Clint remained silent for a second before replying...

"Girlfriend."

"Thought you didn't have one?" Rex asked.

"Got one last night," Clint said.

A few minutes later, all the Avengers were at Tony's workshop and Steve hands the tablet to Thor as Tony ask...

"What's this?"

"A message," Rex said.

"Ultron killed Strucker." Steve added as Thor hands Tony the tablet.

"And he did a Banksy at the crime scene, just for us." Tony said.

"This is a smoke screen. Why send a message when you have just given a speech?" Natasha asked.

"Strucker knew something that Ultron wanted us to miss." Steve said.

Yeah, I bet he... Yeah." Natasha said as she look at a monitor. "Everything we had on Strucker's been erased."

"Not everything." Steve said.

"What you mean?" asked Rex.

A few minutes later, everyone was going through boxes that contains files that involved Strucker.

"Known associates." Steve said.

"Seems Baron Strucker had a lot of friends." Skye commented.

"Well, these people are all horrible." Bruce said.

Tony then look at the file Bruce was holding before saying...

"Wait. I know that guy." Tony then grab the file, showing a file on a black-marketed arms dealer, smuggler and gangster name Ulysses Klaue.

"Wait, you know one of Strucker's associates? Care to explain that." Rex said sternly.

"From back in the day. He operates off the African coast. Black market arms." Tony said as Steve, Clint, Rex, and Skye look at him sternly. "There are conventions. All right? You meet people. I didn't sell him anything. He was talking about finding something new, a game-changer. It was all very Ahab."

"This?" Thor questioned the marking on the guy's neck.

"Ah, it's a tattoo, I don't think he had it." Tony replied.

"Those are tattoos, this is brand." Thor said comparing the two markings.

Bruce then analyze the odd marking before he said...

"Oh, yeah. It's a word in an African dialect meaning 'thief'. In a much less friendly way."

"What dialect?" Steve asked.

"Wakanada. Wakanda." Bruce stammered.

"If this guy got out of Wakanda with some of their trade goods..." Tony started to say before getting interrupted by Steve mid-sentence.

"I thought your father said he got the last of it." Steve said.

"I don't follow." Bruce said. "What comes out of Wakanda?"

Everyone then looks at Steve's shield.

"The strongest metal on Earth." Tony answered.

"Vibranium." Rex said.

Steve then turned to Tony "Where is this guy now?" Steve asked Tony.

-African Coast, 30 minutes later-

"You sure you need the two of us to stay here?" Rex asked as him and Skye were to stay in the quinjet with Bruce as the other are about to go after Ultron.

Steve nodded. "We'll need eyes on the outside," he told them.

Tony then added. "Aswell as backup incase Ultron tries anything." Both Rex and Skye nodded in understandment, but neither of them liked this idea.

"Don't you two worry, we'll be fine," Clint said as him, Nat, Cap, Thor and Tony started to exit the

Skye gained a smirk. "You sure you will Clint?"

"Last time you were on the field you almost died." Rex added, gaining a light glare from Clint.

"They got you there," Nat told the archer.

"Give that platinum bastard a good beatdown," Rex told them.

Thor nodded. "Indeed we will," he said. Then Bruce, Rex and Skye watched them move towards the ship known as Churchhill.

"How long do you think it'll take before they need help?" Rex asked.

Banner shrugged. "I just hope code green isn't necessary," the scientist told them.

"I'd hope I can get my hands on the red head." Skye said to them.

Rex looked at her. "You just might."

Several minutes later, Rex tried to reach them comms. "Guys, do you need backup?"

"Is it a code green?" Bruce asked after him, but all they heard was the noise of static.

"That's not a good sign," Skye commented.

Rex nodded. "No, it's not." Bruce then opens the Quinjet's rear entrance ramp to see what's going on. When they did they saw that there was now a big hole on the side of the ship.

Bruce turned to the younger Avengers. "You two should probably go help them."

Skye nodded. "Come on Rex, let's go."

"Wait," Rex said, his attention was over towards something else as he activated his Bad Axes.

That's when Skye and Bruce saw that Wanda and Pietro Maximoff were in the distance and they were looking at one Avenger in particular, Bruce Banner.

"Oh this is gonna be fun," Skye said as the couple faced off against the twins.

Next chapter we have two fights, Rex and Quake vs. the Maximoff Twins, and Rex and Hulkbuster vs. Hulk. I hope you're prepared for it. Still got us a way before Infinity War, and I'm wondering what crossover I should classify as, since it'll contain Generator Rex, Ben 10, Avengers, and Guardians of the Galaxy.
