Hello lovelies! Sorry it's been a while again, but I finished my NCIS story and of all my stories I have on the go, this one I want to write more cause it's fun! I'm gonna try and post every week, but please remember I am a human. With love!
It was early in the morning; Shadow and Silver were drinking their coffee at the kitchen table when Starr came in with the mail. She was reading a hand-written letter.
"Wow," she said as she sat down. "'I dream of our hands brushing up gently against each other. Your velvet lips placing soft kisses on my skin, my yearning for more'. Sonic's pen pal sure knows how to write."
"Starr, are you reading Sonic's mail?" Shadow asked.
"It's not like it's from the government. It's from Prison Island."
"Prison Island? Why is Sonic writing to an inmate?" Silver asked.
"It's not just an inmate, it's a female inmate named Brandy. They write pretty risqué, look."
Shadow took the letter and read it to himself, his eyes went wide at some of the stuff.
"How are you gonna explain to Sonic that you're reading his letters?" Silver asked as he took the letter to read.
"I'll think of something," Starr replied, then Sonic came in the room. "Morning, Sonic. Silver opened your prison letter."
She left the room.
"Sonic, I didn't!" Silver pleaded.
"Oh, it doesn't matter anyway. They're not personal."
"Personal? Sonic, you're writing to an inmate named Brandy about personal fantasies," Shadow said. "It says here that she wants to lay with you on a beach wearing nothing but a towel."
"So? I wrote that I wanted to make love to her on a hammock as the sun sets, but that doesn't mean I can."
"Well, maybe if you laid off the chilli dogs for a while you could," Silver said. Sonic glared at him.
"Shut up, Silver... I mean these letters are fantasies. She's in for 20 years for armed robbery, she's gonna get bored with all those girls. These letters are for fun, to give her a smile a night. It's not like she's getting out any time soon."
"I don't think so, Sonic. It says here her conviction was overturned due to good behaviour and she's getting out on the 8th and would like to do the things you two said you'd do."
"What?!" Sonic snatched the letter from Silver. "That's horrible!"
"It's not the most attractive thing she's written, but I wouldn't call it 'horrible'."
"No, you nut! The 8th is tomorrow! Brandy thinks we're going to be together! What am I gonna do?!"
"Hide the knives," Shadow replied. "What? She went away for armed robbery."
"What's with all the yelling?" Starr came back in the room.
"Sonic's convict pen pal is getting out of the slammer tomorrow and is headed straight here."
"Hide the valuables!" She ran out of the room in a panic.
The next morning, Shadow was walking through the living room with a box, putting in it any valuables he saw. Silver came out of the kitchen drinking his morning coffee when he saw Shadow.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"What's it look like I'm dong?" He said. "I'm clearing out the valuables before Brandy the Convict gets here! She called twenty minutes ago."
"Oh, c'mon. I thought about it and maybe she's changed. I mean, they let her out on good behaviour."
"So you think she got tired of female bonding time and decided to be a goody two-shoes?" Then the doorbell rang, Shadow put the box under the living room table. "Quick, Silver! Gimme a hand with the TV!"
"Please, Shadow. Her letters were very poetic and romantic. Only a beautiful lady could write stuff like that."
Silver opened the door to find a large, scuffed-up, dirty-yellow echidna standing at the door. Silver and Shadow jumped at her appearance.
"I want Sonic," the echidna demanded as she put out the cigarette hanging from her mouth.
"Better get out the meat and cheese," Shadow commented to himself quietly. "The Queen looks hungry."
"I'm Brandy. Are you Sonic?" She asked Silver.
"No."
"How about you, cutie?" She asked Shadow.
"Man, this chick's done some major hard time!" Silver exclaimed. "Ugh, but no. Sonic's not here and he may not be here for a long, long time."
"That's alright," Brandy barged into the house and sat on the far end of the couch. "I've been on Prison Island for fifteen years. I'm really good at waiting."
Shadow and Silver were terrified as they huddled themselves close to feel protected, and they both sat on the single chair in the room. The two shook in fear as they tried to share the one-person seat.
"So um..." Silver stuttered. "The letters you wrote to Sonic were beautiful. How did you learn to write like that?"
"Oh, I didn't write them," Brandy replied. "My cellmate, Candy, wrote them to the guard. I just rewrote them and changed where it said 'Heidi' to 'Sonic'."
Silver and Shadow glanced at each other and bit their lower lips.
"Well, um, listen Brandy," Shadow said. "Like what he said, Sonic may not be back for days. Weeks even."
"We're home!" Then Starr and Sonic came in the house, she saw Shadow and Silver huddling on the seat. "Oh, please, Shadow. If you're gonna come out, don't do it in front of public."
"Who's your friend?" Sonic asked referring to Brandy.
"This is Sonic's friend, Brandy," Shadow replied.
"Hello, Brandy," Sonic sat down beside her then jumped up quickly when he realized who it was. "Brandy!"
"We were just telling Brandy that Sonic may not come back for a VERY long time."
"Oh yes," Sonic agreed. "And you probably wouldn't like Sonic anyway."
"He's a food hog," Silver added, Sonic cringed. "He's mean and pushy and fat and dumpy."
"That's not nice to say."
"He's also ugly!"
"Now stop it, Silver! Sonic is handsome! Handsome as a lion with a full mane!"
"Okay, okay," Brandy said getting up and leaving. "I'll call back later."
Sonic let her out, closed the door and said while stomping his foot three times, "and he's stupid like a chicken with its head cut off! That's it! I'm staying at Knuckles' til Brandy leaves town."
THREE DAYS LATER
"Okay, Starr, we're going out now," Shadow called to Starr as he and Silver walked to the front door.
"Too bad you can't come with us," Silver said.
"Yeah, but I think 'Guys Night Out' with me might ruin the mood," Starr replied. "I'll be okay. Have a good time."
The two boys waved bye and left. Starr continued to watch TV, flicking through the channels to see what's on. She then heard the doorbell.
"Forgot your key, Shadz?" Starr said as she opened the door. She froze.
...
Hours later, the three hedgehog boys came home.
"I'm surprised you came back home, Sonic," Shadow said as they walked through the door.
"Well, I thought about it and maybe she wanted to put a face to the name," Sonic said.
"And maybe she really did change," Silver added. "I mean, if she did come, Starr could take her down."
CRASH!
The boys looked back to see Starr gagged and tied to a chair in a dark corner of the room.
"Starr!" Shadow exclaimed as he and the others went over to let her free. "Who did this to you?"
"The three stooges!" Starr shouted after she got ungagged. "Brandy! She came by right after the three of you left. She was looking for Sonic."
"You didn't tell her anything, did you?" Sonic asked worried.
"She was really scary. She threatened to flash me! I told her you didn't want to see her anymore, that you weren't interested. Surprisingly, she took it pretty well."
"Wait!" Silver said looking at a side table. "Where's my crystal heart?"
"Oh yeah... um... after she took the news well, she tied me up and robbed the place."
"Oh, Chaos," Sonic groaned. "Well, at least she didn't take my chilli dog prize trophy."
"Oh, um, did I also mention she said if I didn't talk I would be her new girlfriend?" Starr whimpered.
